Other than the Cahill red card against Everton (we had the game won anyway), which one red card can you tell me wasn't deserved? We only had some luck against Sunderland/Middlesbrough. The other games that we won, we deserved to win. That being said, we are horrible in front of goal and break down a team that comes only to defend. Ehh, at least Hull doesnt play "10 men behind the ball" kind of football.

It's not about red cards being deserved or not but the fact you've relied on the opposition having 10 men to win matches (cough cough Wigan and city).

Liverpool quite clearly lack any true matchwinners outside Gerrard and Torres and Gerrard has an off game 2/3 times (in the third game he is guaranteed to score some kind of screamer and thump his chest like a dick). And no Kuyt and Keane do not count, they are both mediocre.

Sign a winger and striker and decent attacking full backs and you'd be coasting. However, that's been the case every season Benitez has been there and he's still signing shit/mediocrity for said positions bar Torres.

tbh i cant see where you are coming from about the rafa signings. 75% of them have been top class. With the shit Houllier left us with, I'm glad that we at least have a competitive squad. Kuyt is far from mediocre although I'd agree that our matchwinners are Torres/Gerrard. But to be fair, Manchester United's team isn't a lot better if you look at it from that perspective. Liverpool's central midfield is much better than ManUtd, doesn't matter if you agree or not because it is. On the wings, till you keep hold of Ronaldo, you'd be better obviously. Up front, you have Rooney, Berbatov and Tevez; and we have Torres (who's probably better than the three you have) and Keane (who would gain some form sooner or later) and are probably just a little bit better than us. On the defensive front, Reina is way better than VDS and Carragher/Agger/Skrtel are quality and are as good as Ferdinand/Vidic. Arbeloa has improved heaps and bounds this season and we are better at RB than you because you are either stuck with the slow Neville or the inexperienced Rafael (does brown even count as a first teamer?) We are lacking an Evra kind of player at LB but Aurelio is doing his job fine this season (or at least he was till he got injured). I can't seriously see how Man Utd are a lot better than Liverpoool.

And i would be honest here i am tired of the lucky liverpool bullshit. What about when we were UNLUCKY? like against Spurs? where we hit the bar twice and the post once? how about the completely legit goal against stoke disallowed? Or the random freekicks/penalties that we deserved but didn't get? Seriously this is all bullshit now.

Who needs Fernando, when we've got Carlo?
Who needs Torres, when we've got Tevez?

After yesterday's performence, should Tevez continue to display his talent and potential through goals, I would sign him immediately.

tbh i cant see where you are coming from about the rafa signings. 75% of them have been top class.

Out of all the crap that Rafa has signed, how many are still there? e.g. Josemi, Pellegrini, Nunez, Bellamy, Itandje, Pennant etc. 75% have been shit.

With the shit Houllier left us with, I'm glad that we at least have a competitive squad. Kuyt is far from mediocre although I'd agree that our matchwinners are Torres/Gerrard. When I say shit lol I don't mean shit as in lower league level I mean shit as clearly not good enough to be anywhere near the first team of a top 4 team. Kuyt should not be anywhere near the first choice right wing slot. Your central midfielders are probably better than ours but I wouldn't say your central midfield is "better" than ours if you can catch the difference. I would say our central midfield with Scholes and Carrick is better at opening up the opposition and keeping possession rather than Gerrard and Mascherano. That is why Alonso is such a key player for you guys but apart from this season, the last two have been poor for his standards.

On the wings, till you keep hold of Ronaldo, you'd be better obviously. Up front, you have Rooney, Berbatov and Tevez; and we have Torres (who's probably better than the three you have) and Keane (who would gain some form sooner or later) and are probably just a little bit better than us. On the defensive front,

lol don't compare Rooney, Tevez and Berbatov to Robbie Keane. He is completely one dimensional and it is not a coincidence that his two best seasons for Tottenham came alongside Berbatov. Torres is obviously class.

Reina is way better than VDS

Not really, Reina's handling is poor and like van der Sar when he is shit he's utterly shit (cough cough volleyball vs everton and gifting us two goals last season. VDS has been pretty shit this season so I'll give you that

and Carragher/Agger/Skrtel are quality and are as good as Ferdinand/Vidic.

bollocks. Carragher is slow and looks like giving a billion penalties away all the time whereas Ferdinand and Vidic have been PFA team of the year central defence partnership twice in a row with twice the best defensive record in the league. Agger and Skrtel are young you are clearly biased in saying they are as good as Utd's defence.

Arbeloa has improved heaps and bounds this season and we are better at RB than you because you are either stuck with the slow Neville or the inexperienced Rafael (does brown even count as a first teamer?)

Wes Brown lol, does 48 appearances last season not count as first team football. Quite easily amongst the most consistent players in our squad last season and better than Arbeloa easily, hence why he has become England's RB ahead of Richards and Johnson.

We are lacking an Evra kind of player at LB but Aurelio is doing his job fine this season (or at least he was till he got injured). I can't seriously see how Man Utd are a lot better than Liverpoool.

Heh I don't see how you think Liverpool are suddenly better than us / close to us teamwise despite having the same if not better with Berbatov that won the european cup/league double. You only have to see Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Ronaldo, Berbatov, Scholes, Rooney and maybe Tevez to see 7/8 truly world class players whilst you could only say the same for Gerrard, Torres, Mascherano and with consistency Alonso and Reina.

(don't get me started on football rants)

what were you saying about liverpool being lucky? oh wait, deflected shot hits the post and vidic scores with the rebound in injury time. Pure skill.

Liverpool have by far been luckier than our couple of moments this season vs Bolton and Sunderland. What is it, 5 reds a couple of own goals and a dodgy penalty?

Anyhow get the fuck in. We're in a great position being 3 points off the top should we win at Tottenham with our hardest fixtures out of the way.

Indeed.

And let us not forget the fact that we invite both Chelsea and Liverpool to Old Trafford. But by the time that happens, Liverpool will be suffering with exhaustion, therefore crucially dropping vital points that are essential to their title challenge.

Viva la Vidic!

Fucking Hull.

I'm going to moan about how 3/4 of all goals in the match were unfair.

Hull's first: Free-kick given against Sami Hyppia when he quite clearly didn't even touch the player and the linesman was standing right next to the incident. Hull go on to score due to to poor marking.

Hull's second: What the fuck? How was that a free-kick, the ref seems to think that any physical contact, no matter if you get the ball or not is a free-kick. Pure crap decision.

Liverpool's first: Okay, I know I support Liverpool, but this was also a definite foul. Kuyt shoved their defender allowing Gerrard to steam in and calmly finish it.

The only definite goal, IMO, was our second. But hey, that's life.

Spurs holding Man U to a draw was brilliant, means they don't make any points up on us.

All I have to say is: Come on West Ham!

Who pays Carlton Cole his wages? He missed two sitters that even my mom would have scored. Chelsea should have lost but hey, I am still happy with the draw. :)

yes. 11 days till the old firm.
is anyone else here a rangers supporter?
or am i the only one.

personally based on performance this season Liverpool have been the best team so far.

Well, the last weekend in the Premier League was basically a waste of time. Everyone had a great chance to either put some distance between, or catch up on other teams (talking about the big four here), but no one took it.

At least United haven't lost any ground on Liverpool or Chelsea, but this was a real chance to be in a good situation before Christmas (basically 1 point behind). I hope we find our shooting boots soon, hopefully we can win the Club World Cup, get some confidence boosting goals and come back to tear apart Stoke again. Hopefully Arsenal will do us a favour and hold off Liverpool, and I'm obviously hoping Chelsea will have another hiccup.

wahey World Champions :D

Pilowrath I apologize your luck hasn't died yet...Fabregas injured, Adebayor sent off unfairly.

Okay, I never thought I'd say this but.. .. Thank you Everton! It seems that every time we drop a few points, Chelsea follow suit. Although they would see West Ham and Everton as winnable games whereas it's fine to take a point at the Emirates.

Urgh, Howard Webb is a fucking disgrace. Why he didn't turn up pre-match in liverpool's kit to warn us in advance that he would, once again, fuck us over is beyond me.

Adebayor - 2 fouls -> 2 yellows
Lucas - constant fouling -> one yellow late on in the second half

to be honest, we were in control before the red card. We went into our shell after the card was shown, so it didn't really do us any favors. Howard Webb was just bad that day, he wasn't doing a good job for either team. How did Keane get carded for that wonderful tackle, is still beyond me. Or why Whineger wanted him Red Carded for that.

Good day today really...

We got a rather late winner against Stoke when we yet again, looked a bit lackluster... But a bit of magic from Berbatov and another big goal from Tévez got us the three points. I do hope we start scoring again soon, but I'm just glad we got the three points in the end.

Chelsea and Liverpool won, but meh, I didn't expect them to drop points in such games.

Aston Villa vs Arsenal was a brilliant match.. Villa should've buried it in the first half, but it was still enjoyable to watch. Missed chances, goals and late goals... I love football.

Arsenal for the last couple of years have looked like they don't know basic defending - there's two mins left, one goal lead, even a pub team would know you should put at least all your defenders in your box to defend the lead at the throw in or whatever it was, rather than let them OUTNUMBER YOU IN YOUR OWN BOX!?

Why Arsenal don't bring back Martin Keown to work on the defensive side is beyond me - the last time he coached with us coincided with us reaching the Champion's League final with a somewhat makeshift backline of Flamini, Senderos, Toure and Eboue

It was a great result for us. But the performence was poor and that could have well cost us. Then again -- what do you expect when Fletcher, Giggs and O'Shea all start together?

Bring on the 11th of January. At least then, one of our main rivals will drop points.

Liverpool seem to be on top against Newcastle, I will very disappointed if we drop points. It's a game we can and should win. I can just see it being one of those games, however, where we have all the ball but somehow end up only taking one point from the match.

EDIT: Screw that, 1-0 Liverpool!
