Just so the US West hopefuls know, there are some players who were on the team last year who will not have to try out to play this year. They were great last year and I know that they are still great players (keep up with the metagame, play tour and tournaments, good on the ladder, etc). I just want to be sure that prospective US West players know what is going on.

I may or may not be on the roster, as my OU playing has been rather sparse lately (though I have been playing suspect, so maybe if Salamence is banned, lol). At this point it seems likely that I will make myself a sub.

There will probably be tryouts held next week and maybe this weekend; I need to find out what my own availability and that of other players is. But don't worry, you will not be required to be on at any one time in order to try out!

Finally, I want to encourage players to come to our irc channel #uswest to chill with the bros of US West. To be honest, it is unlikely that you will be playing if you are not in this channel at least a little bit, since that is the primary location for communication between me and the other players.

P.S. If you need help setting up irc feel free to ask me or phil. Don't worry, we're some pretty cool bros.
