(coundnt find the toxapex sprite so rip) This is some sand balance i´ve been using lately. I decided to add hippo instead of ttar because I wanted sand up for more turns (and because smooth rock ttar sucks) with hippo I added excadrill obviously, being him a staple on sand teams. I decided to add sd mega chomp to help against my matchup against stall and ceelestela balance; I then added tnagrowth, for a reliable counter to koko, and toxapex to setup toxic spikes, which excadrill appreciates. weavile was added as a pursuit trapper, and also help my team agaosnt bulky grasses

Weavile @ Choice Band

Ability: Pressure

EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

Jolly Nature

- Pursuit

- Icicle Crash

- Ice Shard

- Knock Off

-This thing does its job amazingly well. It helps a lot against offense, since sand isn’t always going to be up, and it practically gets a kill every game; it can even help by revenging setup mons like minior, which exca or toxapex cannot deal with.

Tangrowth @ Assault Vest

Ability: Regenerator

EVs: 244 HP / 12 Def / 252 SpD

Relaxed Nature

- Knock Off

- Leaf Storm

- Hidden Power [Fire]

- Earthquake

-tangrowth is a criminally underrated wall. It counters so much with a mono grass typing, its scary. It serves as a reliable ground resist, and counters lots of offensive threats like ash Gren, Koko, mega Gyarados, Latios, and Kingdra. Basically a god send for my team.

Hippowdon @ Smooth Rock

Ability: Sand Stream

EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 128 Def / 124 SpD

Impish Nature

- Stealth Rock

- Earthquake

- Toxic

- Slack Off

-hippo is the heart of my team. Simply put. This mon checks almost all physical threats in the tier, such as mega pinsir, zard x,lando, mega metagross, etc and also is a hard stop to koko (if it happens to have brave bird instead of grass knot.) I decided to add toxic instead of roar because I can worn down lando turn 1, which both mega chomp and Excadrill appreciate.

Excadrill @ Life Orb

Ability: Sand Rush

EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

Adamant Nature

- Rapid Spin

- Iron Head

- Earthquake

- Rock Slide

-excadrill is the perfect sand mon. it does so much, such as being one of the most fearsome late game sweepers, being also a amazing wallbreaker, and on the top of it, it has a blazing 500 speed under sand, making it a complete offensive mon.

grape (Toxapex) @ Leftovers

Ability: Regenerator

EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD

Bold Nature

IVs: 0 Atk

- Recover

- Toxic Spikes

- Scald

- Haze

-if excadrill is the complete offensive mon, then toxapex is the complete support mon. it has a amazing typing, access to hazards, defeats basically almost all setup mons with haze, and has both regen and reliable recovery.

Garchomp-Mega @ Garchompite

Ability: Sand Force

EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe

Adamant Nature

- Swords Dance

- Earthquake

- Dragon Claw

- Fire Fang

-Mega chomp is a amazing wallbreaker under sand. Nothing switches in fire/ground/grass. You basically have to either: have fully phydef skarm on your team, or just sack something when against this monster of a mon.

Anyways guys, hope yall liked the team. Any tips would be appreaciated. http://pastebin.com/1KrLYxCN <----- link to the team

INSANE CARZY GUY

Banned deucer.
I've heard a lot of people talk about rocky helmet Toxapex, it definitely does more damage than any of its attacks and switching into a rapid spin/recoil move is always cruel

Stall uses a lot of dugtrio also so sheD shell is viable too and when they see there's no passive recovery they'll wanna knock off less

Hi, I wanted to present you a team built around Necrozma with Kickasser. We wanted to use Necrozma, and Tom Bus suggested us a set with Calm Mind and Rock Polish. I added hp fire to deal with scizor and genesect while psyshic is for the STAB. Then, I added ferrothorn to have a solid water resist and a greninja check. Heatran, Marowak and others fire types can beat this core, so I added a dugtrio, the most classic set. After, we needed a defogger and a Pinsir check, thus We added Zapdos. Genesect, Pheromosa, Keldeo and others mons destroyed the team so I added Toxapex which it's a good mon. Finally, I added m-gyara to have a win condition and a dark resist n_n

PS : Sry I failed the sprites :c

Great team, I've been using it and I can say it is really great, especially without Genesect. I really struggled against Charizard Y before realizing Heatran can take a Focus Blast and Fini can take a Solar Beam though.
Haha thanks this means a lot, and yea Zard Y is tricky to play around if they predict right. If you want super reassurance vs it you can try Latios>Torn T since it was mainly for Lando I. But this change means losing the u turn core of Lando T+Torn, which means Hoopa can't come in as easily.
Glad you like it though appreciate it

here's a cool team i was laddering with which utilizes a neat thundurus set I ran into on the ladder (the guy who was using it didnt have a complimenting team, so i built one of my own)
it's a bit weak to pheromosa as well as greninja if lele gets chunked too early
one cool thing about it is the amount of lando-t that switch in on thundurus only to give a defiant boost
i have removal this time 2 :3

Team I built around specs Ash Gren and zap plate Tapu Koko. Standard Nihilego rocks lead as most teams that I've faced in pre-bank lack hazard removal. Scarf Pheromosa to outpace virtually every threat to this team (Rain is a notable playstyle it helps check). Celesteela to help beat Lele, which is EVERWHERE at the moment. Offensive Marowak with enough speed for min speed Celesteela. Solid team that matches up well against the current meta /check it out?

So this is a basic hyper offense team i did a while ago and i've been using in the suspect ladder :D I built it around waterium Z Manaphy, which is a good stallbreaker which can also sweep against offense. I added Scarf Excadrill since it's a good switch into electric types and helps me against Tapu Lele which is a huge problem agaisnt hyper offense. Mimikyu is there to revenge kill and priority and as a way of dealing with Kingdra. Tapu Koko hits bulky Waters and helps with speed control and Pinsir-Mega breaks Walls for the rest of the team to clean. I chose Lead Azelf as the combination of Manaphy and Mimikyu deals with most Pokémon that can stop it from using SR + Explosion. The team is really simple to understand, but it does require a lot of doubles and predictions to work. It's no where near perfect, but really fun to use :D

sup degenerates. today i want to show you a team that i built with my friend starry blanket!

we wanted to build around primarina, a good gimmick pokemon that is pretty cool and annoying to switch into for like every team; it beats ferro due to hidden power fire, venusaur and amoonguss won't be good counters because of psychic, dragons and others can be beaten because of respective stabs, hydro pump (that can be replaced for scald if you dont wanna miss and ur gay bc scaldburn) and moonblast. jirachi is there to check fairies and annoying psychics, such as mega alakazam. wish + protect also gives it longevity to make sure we can beat lele and mega alakazam, its also good to scout some sets due to protect; its role is really good here, its also our stealth rocker! mega venusaur beats greninja and helps vs fairies as well, and usually venu + landot is enough for genesect. buzzwole helps with bisharp, weavile, pheromosa, scizor and stuff! this mon helps also vs stall, subpunch is v cool. landorus-t is our speed controller and an "answer" to mega pinsir although we also got rachi to check it, and landot serves also to gain momentum and bring primarina in. then, latios serves as a defog support since we switch on it for things like deo. roost is for longevity.

we wanted to build around primarina, a good gimmick pokemon that is pretty cool and annoying to switch into for like every team; it beats ferro due to hidden power fire, venusaur and amoonguss won't be good counters because of psychic, dragons and others can be beaten because of respective stabs, hydro pump (that can be replaced for scald if you dont wanna miss and ur gay bc scaldburn) and moonblast. jirachi is there to check fairies and annoying psychics, such as mega alakazam. wish + protect also gives it longevity to make sure we can beat lele and mega alakazam, its also good to scout some sets due to protect; its role is really good here, its also our stealth rocker! mega venusaur beats greninja and helps vs fairies as well, and usually venu + landot is enough for genesect. buzzwole helps with bisharp, weavile, pheromosa, scizor and stuff! this mon helps also vs stall, subpunch is v cool. landorus-t is our speed controller and an "answer" to mega pinsir although we also got rachi to check it, and landot serves also to gain momentum and bring primarina in. then, latios serves as a defog support since we switch on it for things like deo. roost is for longevity.

importable

Hey Empo, just wondering if there is any specific calcs you are using LO Latios for? Soul Dew is currently legal as far as I know and I see no reason not to run it if able.

This team was made when I didn't want to make another god damned WonderTrio Stall team. I was annoyed using it so I made a team myself. Most of the mons on here serve basic functions on a stall archetype. Sableye is the crowning gem of the stall playstyle. Being able to deflect hazards and status, the two main ways to beat stall, alongside its decent bulk and good typing, were much too appealing to not put on a stall team. Clefable is the designated Unaware Mon on this team. Clefable is extremely good at halting most forms of setup sweepers, and can almost beat Manaphy 1 on 1, which is a huge issue for this team. 56 Sp.Def EVs are the minimum amount required to do this, while the rest was put into Defense. This is most certainly up to change as I already have a decent amount of physical walls. Alomomala was the next member to go on. Passing titanic Wishes to each member of my team while also wearing down switch ins like Tapu Lele and Tapu Fini through Toxic and Knock Off is pretty nice. Alomomala also serves as a light check to regular Greninja, which is also important for a stall archetype to acheive.

Now onto some of the more unorthodox members and sets. Mew has a rather standard Sp.Def spread, but I decided to run Heal Bell on Mew because the team desperately needs it and its cute when I can force another stall team to waste Heal Bells when their Sab gets Wisp'd. It wasn't the primary function at first, but its been useful when facing other stall teams.

Magearna was a mon that I thought I wouldn't use on a stall team but its been proving rather useful to me. Being a Hoopa-U check and a Lele answer is something that is extremely nice to have on a stall team, and it can be nice when I get the Mag snowball rolling with Soul-Heart. The spread allows Magearna to have a very high chance of living 4 Thunderbolts from an LO Koko (252 SpA Life Orb Tapu Koko Thunderbolt vs. 252 HP / 204+ SpD Assault Vest Magearna: 105-125 (28.8 - 34.3%) -- 2.4% chance to 3HKO) among other special attacks while the rest was bumped into Sp.Attack so that Magearna wasn't awfully weak attacking.

Now, definitely one of the strangest things I've used on a stall team is SubToxic Salamence. Yes, you read that correctly. Sub+Toxic allows me to Toxic Landorus, Zapdos, and normally safe switchins, which helps me wear down some threats over time and can force other stall teams to use up a Heal Bell, allowing Mew to outstall a Chansey's Heal Bell usage (as stall does not like their Sab statused). Fly was used to allow me to hit Tapu Bulu and Venusaur, which this team can have trouble breaking, while also being an excellent way to run Stall of its PP. Flamethrower was used specifically for Kartana, although I have found that it likes to lure in bulky Scizor, which it solidly 2HKOs. You could replace Flamethrower with Roost, although I have used it too much to let it go. The EVs are extremely strange, but serve an excellent purpose for this team. 56 Sp.Def and the HP investment allow me to avoid the 2HKO from Zard-Y in the sun with Leftovers recovery (252 SpA Charizard-Mega-Y Fire Blast vs. 248 HP / 56 SpD Salamence: 176-207 (44.7 - 52.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery), while the 56 Speed EVs allow me to outspeed max Speed Adamant Tapu Bulu and Mega Scizor and set up a Substitute on them.

Personally, I have enjoyed using this team as it has answers to some threats that normal stall teams are overwhelmed by, and is oddly fun to use for a stall team. Below are some replays showing off the effectiveness of this team. I hope you all give this team a try. Thanks for reading, and feel free to make adjustments if necessary! :]

Hi, how are you doing?

Nice shinies, did you breed them yourself?

Thanks for reading.

Hi yall i built a cool team some days ago and this thread helped me to build some teams so im giving something back.

at a glance:

This Team was actually based around this hazard stacking core:
and

the defensive synergy between those two is exceptionally good. marowak sets up SR while Ferro does the same with Spikes.
Its easier to keep hazards up with this core than with others because the most defogers that switch into maro cant do much to ferro, Tapu Fini serves as the best example right now.
Another positive fact is that the fighting immunity of maro actually saves ferro from getting hit many times even though you dont have to necessarily switch maro in all the time.
Just the fact that maro exists is enough to keep your opponents from recklessly spamming choice locked fighting moves like HJKs.

i added
and
right after. Landorus serves as a momentum-machine and abuses uturn to get the maximum out of your hazards.
Meta forces a lot switches as well but you have to switch it in carefully because metas health is more important in this meta than it ever was before.
Meta breaks most offensive teams while Lando is a great pivot overall. Its also your revenge killer so dont throw it away too quickly.

At last i added those two

SubPunch Buzzwole is absolutely menacing. Its also your only way to beat stall so if you worry about that then id suggest you to run leech life over ice punch.
But i for myself like ice punch better and would rather click x when i face stall than lose to gliscor. also hitting lando/chomp instantly is great. eq is for toxapex.
Tentacruel serves as a pretty good spinner since it beats the two new ghosts ( maro / mimikyu ). loses to msab whaddever fuck stall.
but tenta is actually a lifesaver sometiems because haze can save you when boosting mons try anything stupid. toxic spikes is also pretty cool for meta and lando.

How the team mainly works is depicted pretty well in those 2 battles:

against Alastor Law on Ladder this battle shows how you have to play aggressively if your opponent has the upper hand and threats like Lele that can hurt your team. also shows how phero didnt click hjk because of marowak. You have to play this Team aggressively or you will be swallowed by all the hard hitters around like Lele/Phero/Meta/Bulu/Gene/Zard X and what not.

against PDC in Suspect Tour this battle shows how you can effectively keep up hazards while trying to pressure the opposing team with your two breakers aka Meta/buzz.
Even against defensive teams you should play as offensive as the situation allows because forcing switches and getting powerful moves out is the main concept of this team.

i made some slashes in the importable which some could find weird, thunder punch over meteor mash for example. Meteor Mash is always the middleground between two moves but if you are confident enough in your plays you can run thunder punch too because the team kinda struggles with mantine/pelipper and gyara+zone

also chople on ferro is to have another way of dealing with megazam. or just switch to ferro on the psychic, then marowak on the focus blast ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) maro only takes 60 from like modest sball.

you have to be wary about Volcs, ZardX's and mega gyaras. also dont sack half your team to lele. they always hp fire when they see ferro so just switch to maro

Hello friends of Smogon! :]
I am here today to present my first team in this current SM meta:

THE MOSQUITO TEAM

I decide to use this mighty Buzzwole, curious to try it out with SubPunch Set, saw that is very broken. I wanted to experience a personal good core: Buzz + Heatran.
Tran with Z-Solar Beam to lure unsuspecting Tapu Fini (the biggest counter for Buzz) / be also my setter / fairy-check, except for Tapu Koko (clearly not enough) so for this, i added ScarfLando for obtain SpeedControl and provide momentum to the team.
In combo with Lando i chose MScizor for the MegaSlot (instead of a first thought Metagross) for greater bulkyness and another Uturn Slot for scouting. At this point Greeninja gave trouble, especially with the waterprio, so i put Toxapex for help vs Pherormosa (tbh I have to scout before Extrasensory since it has a thousand moves that frog) But i want the Sdefensive set and i noticed that for the vast majority is used Bold Max Hp and Def, so doesn't exist cool spread for the Sdef >_>
For the last slot, Latios is in my team for the possibility to use Defog and check MVenusaur (and another precious ground-immunity) Not sure Soul Dew >> Life orb, but i can test that item.

The opposing Heatran surrounded itself with its Z-Power!
The opposing Heatran unleashes its full-force Z-Move!
The opposing Heatran used Bloom Doom!
It's super effective! Tapu Fini lost 85.7% of its health!
Tapu Fini fainted

Dragonite used Fire Punch!
It's super effective! The opposing Buzzwole lost 39.5% of its health!
The opposing Buzzwole used Leech Life!
It's not very effective... Dragonite lost 4.3% of its health!
Dragonite had its energy drained!
Dragonite fainted!
[Opposing Buzzwole's Beast Boost!]
The opposing Buzzwole's Attack rose!
The opposing Buzzwole restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

I wanted to build around Hydreigon since it seemed like a cool mon. I used specs since its a cool wallbreaker. I chose Heatran next because it took care of fairies like Tapu Fini and also provided rocks. Mega Metagross was added because its a solid mon in general while also providing priority and appreciating Hydreigon`s wallbreaking. I also used that set in particular because I like the things that it`s allowed to beat with it. I wanted a good pivot so rotom was next. It provides me another ground immunity and something that takes care of stuff like mega metagross reliably. At this point my team was kind of slow and was also lacking a fighting resist so I added scarf Lando next. It forms a nice volt-turn core with rotom while synergising well with the rest of the team. And finally I added Mimikyu because it has great defensive synergy with hydreigon while also being a nice lategame sweeper.

I decided to make an offensive team around a core I've loved using for a long time since Sun and Moon came out, Tapu Koko and Xurkitree. Scarf Xurkitree fits better on this team than any other Xurkitree set, as it's meant to abuse the Electric Terrain Tapu Koko provides. Ferrothorn and Alolawak fit together as a nice Spike stacking core and defensive core, Alolawak lets me have an answer against Pheromosa and to check most threats to offense, like Magearna. Specs Hoopa-U is an amazing wallbreaker, breaking the fat Ground-types that both Tapu Koko and Xurkitree despise. Scarf Pheromosa provides me with a backup late-game cleaner and Rapid Spin. Poison Jab isn't necessary because all of the teams members deal with Fairies in some way. Electric is a fun type to spam, and Tapu Koko + Xurkitree is my favorite Electric spam core. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you all!

First off, I'm well-aware this is not a very serious or standard team. I like to mix things up and do weird stuff. Now, the issue I have is Komala. It's not doing anything special for my team, usually getting dropped the turn after the Wish before I can U-Turn out. And I don't necessarily want to switch into a weakened Wish target only to have it be dropped on the switch. So, I need some help selecting a replacement for it.

I've considered a couple things, primarily using either Decidueye/Dhelmise for hazard removal and going with Unburden
Hitmonlee as a sweeper option, or using Sash-Rocks Lycanroc. Turtonator is another thought I've had (again, I don't like playing standard lol).

Thoughts?
