Undertale

Pondering about just restarting the game and going complete pacifist this time. I'm still having trouble with Mettaton because all the junk food I bought which lowers the ratings. I'm thinking about back-tracking to the Temmie village. How long would it take from the hotel to get there?

My suggestion if you are having trouble with mettaton would be that first, go to floor R2 and go left two rooms and grind a couple of battles, this will give you about 90 dollars an encounter. Then buy a lot of starfaits, this will bring up your rating a lot, I wouldn't suggest getting Temmie armor unless you're desperate

This is great advice. However if you want the easier win then swap 'armour' mid fight. It gives you a huge ratings boost.

or u know you could just keep shooting his body parts off and not care about ratings because once he's down to only his head and torso the fight automatically ends 9.9

I know, it's a double post, bear with me!

Asgore is much harder than I thought. I've gotten to having him at half health before dying. I went back to do more grind and bought the unloaded gun (which is a huge help) and some more starfaits. I'm thinking of going back to get more healing items. Asriel is so sad... I has looked him up previously because of this fan song by a YouTuber I like, so I knew about him. But hearing about it in-game is a lot more touching... I can't wait for the battle I know is coming after. I especially love the animation when Asgore destroys the Mercy option, the way the cape moves! Can't wait to defeat him.

in the house there are two items in chests: the Locket and the Knife. They are the most powerful items in the game. Don't bother with the Gun, not only is its attacking method hard to get down, but its also weaker than the Knife (which is single input).

I took the locket, but I've been wearing the stained apron. I'll go head back and get the knife, and switch to the locket! For some reason I thought it was to represent whatever route you had take. The dagger for if you had been on a genocide, and the locket for if you were pacifist.

cool beans. Sea Tea (from turtleboiz) can also help since it raises your speed, as well as the legendary hero which raises attack. Just try working out his patterns and develop a strategy for item usage. (e.g., try to use sea tea as soon as your hp gets low enough so that it will heal the maximum amt, etc)

Finished the game. It... wasn't what I expected. Did I do something wrong? I tried to have mercy on Flowey, but it didn't work so I killed him. Then the game ended. Undyne is ruler, she also waged war on humanity. And wants to hunt my character down. Wasn't I supposed to fight Asriel? Does that only happen if I keep trying to spare him? I'm going to play the game again, this time full pacifist. But, thoughts on Undertale;

It was better than I expected. Undertale was so hyped by everyone, I didn't think I would like it much. I finally decided to buy it after so much hype, reviews, and wanting to understand what everyone was talking about. It was a great game! Good characters, AMAZING music, and a nice story. I didn't think I would ever feel bad for killing an anthropomorphic goat woman, but I did. Some of my favorite tracks in the game were...
One of my favorites! I find myself humming it a lot. Super catchy, and Muffet's fight was a fun one!

Another catchy one. Mettaton was one of my favorite characters. And his theme is awesome! As I've said before, I listen to an hour version occasionly.

Reports of my pacifist run will follow...

Sounds like you were a bit too hasty with Flowey. If you just continually attempt to spare Flowey, he'll eventually cave and accept your mercy, after which he'll talk to you about how you played through the game and challenge you to play it again without killing anyone. Your ending is dependent on what characters and how many enemies you've killed, and you won't encounter Asriel just by sparing Flowey, but that's part of it. There are a few other conditions you need to meet too, which Flowey will tell you about if you spare him. Not sure how much more I should spoil for you, so I'll leave it at that :x

Best of luck with the next run! It shouldn't be too difficult, since now you should know how to get through most of the boss fights without much trouble.

it's because you killed him.

you monster.

He did kill Asgore in my run, and that was EVIL!

Can someone explain to me why So Sorry pisses people off so much? I keep hearing that it's some dumb furry shit that needs to be removed, but then again the first monster you meet is a goat mom so I don't even see how people can get angry about it.

afaik So Sorry is almost literally a fursona self-insert of one of the Kickstarter donors (Muffet was also a kickstarter monster, and the hidden boss Clyde)

source for the character (somewhat nsfw/nsfl)

so while I guess you could say undertale maybe has some furry undertones (insofar as it has anthropomorphic animals as monsters, and internets gonna internet) this character is literal "furry shit" or whatever and in 20 fuckin 16 that still triggers people (ayyy)

I don't remember Papyrus' fight being so hard! Or maybe I'm just bad at dodging. But I'm really enjoying my second play-through, hearing the characters say things implying they partially remember your last run is awesome.

so i beat the genocide final boss and it was hard as shit, took me 2 hours to get the patterns down. reset my save before going in the throne room so i don't get the permanent corruption. gonna start pacifist now, hope the fights dont get any worse.......

oh also obligatory "i feel like a monster"
