As requested, I started off with a core AV Bisharp paired with Cobalion. Bisharp traps and knock offs annoying psychics like Latias, Celebi, and Starmie, which benefits Bisharp, and Cobalion checks Scizor for Bisharp. Next, a stallbreaker that could handle prevalent Fire and Fighting Types, as well as benefit from Scizor being checked by Cobalion, seemed quite nice here. Mega Altaria was the chosen one, as it breaks stall with the combination of Facade+Dragon Dance, with Earthquake hitting steel types. Next, I looked for a flying resist that could also provide momentum via either Volt Switch or U-turn, as well as somewhat check Scizor as well. Rotom-Heat came to mind, so I slotted that in next. Pain Split is used over Defog to help deal with Blissey while keeping Rotom healthy. I then desired Speed Control, a ground immunity, and a way to revenge kill things like Celebi and Doublade, as well as help Mega Altaria check Crawdaunt. Hydreigon fit right in, which also provides U-turn support to generate momentum, and couples nicely with Rotom Heat. It should be noted that Hydreigon can also punish the likes of Specs Primarina for locking itself into Psychic. Speaking of Primarina, the last slot was dedicated to something that could check it, as well as remove hazards from my side of the field. Tentacruel slotted in quite nicely, checking said Primarina, as well as clear hazards, and handle SD variants of Scizor for the team. It should also be noted that this team has a little sketchy of a matchup vs Nasty Plot Infernape, but if you can keep Tentacruel and Mega Altaria healthy, you should be fine. Sorry for the wait again, and I hope you enjoy the team!

This team was intially built for elodin's game against hs. It was built around the Rock Spam core of HC Aero + SD Rak but the Starmie set still shines. To support the Rock-Spam fire fang fully defensive Hippo was a great first pick. Not only does it reliably deal with Scizor but it provides Sandstorm to let Terrakion and Aerodactyl have an easier time setting up potentially. I chose Rotom-Mow as my defogger with Rose Incense to pressure Gligar without taking up a Z-Crystal. Hidden Power Fire lets it check Scizor and chip at Amoonguss/other steels still. Then, I went with Protect Starmie as a fun option to be really bothersome for the scarfed Dark-types (Hydreigon and Krookodile) [This is actually displayed in the replay too], which I had room for since Rotom-Mow was running removal. Klefki tied the team well defensively with its ability to switch into Latias with ease while not being settup fodder on Scizor thanks to Foul Play. Defog + Spikes is usually iffy but it functions well with the pressure from Starmie and the threat of either Rock-type boosting up and wrecking havoc. I hope you enjoy the team!

I really enjoyed the staff. I already wanted to use Klefki Thunder Wave as Speed Control. Starmie was free to attack and check with Protect. The staff seems like a lot of fun to play. I'm definitely going to test it. Thank you.

So I decided to take advantage of the "liberty" bit and build with Choice Band Decidueye, a set Moutemoute submitted for Next Best Thing awhile back. Aside from it being the requested mon, the reason to use it over Tsareena was the ability to lure in Hydreigon and Krookodile effortless for Altaria to get free set up as well as getting to use priority. The rest of the team is rather simple. Moltres shreds all the Steel-types that wouldn't mind tanking a Spirit Shackle. Tentacruel provides general utility with Knock Off over Haze to cripple opposing fat waters. Rhyperior provides Rocks and stops the average Electric-types. Altaria capitalizes on U-turn Decidueye and has good synergy defensively with the other members. Facade lets it stallbreak and beat Suicune. Scizor forms a nice pivot core with Decidueye and is another cleaner. Hope it's to your liking :] .

Yo revelations sorry for the long wait on your Alolan Muk request, but I've been given the privilege to build this squad for you!

<Click Sprites for the Importable>
Muk-A is a Pokemon that can be pretty effective right now, especially when Celebi are all Psychium-Z and Latias still being the prominent threat that it is. I changed the set you requested to utilize Focus Punch due to how threatening SD Terrakion can be, especially if it uses Muk as set-up fodder. I knew I wanted to partner it up with Calm Mind Slowbro which appreciates these Pokemon being removed, while in turn providing a consistent answer to fighting types like Cobalion, Terrakion and Ape. Rotom-H gives you a ground immunity and flying resist capable of removing hazards with Defog. Togekiss gives you more leeway against Hydreigon and provides some speed control. Trick being able to annoy Balance and Stall + Heal Bell suport being very useful for removing status off your win cons like Slowbro. Scizor gives the team a much needed steel type and breaker. Buginium-Z allowing you to break through checks like Alo and Amoong. Seismitoad eases the matchup vs Mega Manectric and Scizor, while giving you the stealth rock setter you needed. It helps deter a lot of water types like Primarina and Starmie for spamming their water stabs so freely.

I hope you enjoy using the team ^_^

Subject to change, just a general idea of what I want.

Howdy! I saw Mega-Houndoom sitting in RUBL and really wanted to make a Solar Power NP setup monster, but I'm not really sure where to start. Without Drought in the format, it makes enabling Solar Power a real chore, and while it seems like it matches up decently with Scizor and Latias, it also seems like it would struggle with several of the metagames most popular threats, i.e. Mega-Altaria, Terrakion, Krookodile, etc. The best sun setter I could think of was Klefki or maybe Rotom-H, but I'm sure there are better options. I appreciate the help in advance!

So we are open again? Looking for some fresh ideas with this as my brain is fried.

Spr_5b_212_m.png
Spr_5b_479O.png

I've had an idea for some time for a... defensive (stall, heavy balance?) team with a Scizor and Rotom-H as both the glue of the team and using them as a force to wear down the opponent with Volt-Turn as oppose to Spikes. On paper it seems like a fantastic idea, Scizor handles a lot of special threats for defensive teams *cough* Blissey *cough* like Latias, Gengar, Celebi, Reunicles, ect, and Rotom-H can check most Mamoswine, Togekiss, and most notably opposing Scizor. However, I run into weird issues with team building, and when I actually play, the Volt-Turn seems to not be that effective; whatever form this takes I would prefer that only these two Pokemon be the main offensive presence if possible.

Reuniclus is a Pokemon that can be a massive problem if allowed to set up, assisted by decent bulk, enormous SpAtk, and Magic Guard. Of course, it has equally massive flaws in pathetic Speed and mono-Psychic typing. Recently deemed RUBL (again), is there a niche for the jelly lad amidst the Scizors, Bisharps, and other mons in UU?

Feel free to tweak the set however you'd like. I would appreciate it if this kept with CM as iirc there's already an OTR Reuniclus team in the archive.

Thanks!

This is the team I used in UUPL vs Lopunny kicks. I knew I wanted to have a good matchup vs the vast majority of fat teams because Lopunny kicks have been using innovative fat builds throughout the entire UUPL. Funnily, speedy Reuniclus is a set that I was introduced to early-SM but I finally decided to make use of it late UUPL. Not only does it allow Reuniclus to beat Quagsire and break most stall teams pretty easily, but it also improves the matchup against Amoonguss, Slowbro, and opposing Reuniclus comfortably (as shown in the replay below). Because a lot of Reuniclus's checks like Scizor and Krookodile are grounded, hazard stacking seemed like a good idea. Klefki is able to take advantage of opposing Hydreigon to set up Spikes and Mega Aerodactyl is able to set up Stealth Rock on most fat teams. Metronome Hydreigon is a set I was introduced to by A and it worked here pretty well, as, in conjunction with Spikes and Reuniclus, this team should mostly win against the vast majority of fat teams. Lastly, physically defensive Tentacruel and Infernape were pretty mandatory to not lose to more offensive teams. Infernape also provides the team with Speed control.

Hey Princess Bubblegum the team you requested is done, big s/o to Amane Misa for building this with me. While the core you provided is good it doesn't suit the playstyle of balance that well, let alone stall, due to how underwhelming it can be. Every team aside from full stall requires some form of offensive presence, so relying on just CB Scizor and defensive Rotom-H for this isn't optimal. We kept the balance archetype you wanted but had to digress away from the passive playstyle you initially wanted.

<Click Sprites for Importable>
I changed the Scizor to a bulky SD variant because the team needed a wincon. The Buginium Z allows you to break past bulky grounds and waters like Hippo, Swampert and Suicune which is nice for Rotom-H to be freed up. Rotom-H acts as the teams form of hazard removal with Defog while being your check to Scizor. Maero gives you a Stealth Rock setter that takes pressure off Rotom-H checking flying types. It gives the team some speed and is important for pressuring Rotom-H and Celebi which can threaten the proposed core. BlockBro was added to give you an answer to the fighting types like Cobalion and Infernape, while easing the stall matchup. It can trap some other annoying Pokemon like Empoleon which is a nuisance to the team. Florges gives you an answer to Hydreigon and helps pass Wishes to Maero and Rotom-H so they can keep checking what they need to. The cleric support is also nice. Finally, Hydreigon gives you another switch in to water types like Volcanion and Slowbro while providing some speed control. The team lacks a ground type, but the electric types don't threaten the team much + you have Rotom-H and Hydreigon to pivot into them.

I hope you enjoy using the team ^_^

One pokemon I've always liked aesthetically, but never tried building around, is Bronzong. I really want to experiment with it as my stealth rocker. I'm not interested in full stall, and I'd really like a cleric of some sort on my team, but other then that I'm up for anything. I hope this isn't too vague of a description, apologies if it is.

Yes, I enjoy using the broken mons, sue me. These two pair extremely well as a core as Malt is able to come in on stuff like Rotom-Heat and Moltres that Zor struggles against, while Zor is able to switch in on stuff like Gengar and Bee. I'd prefer a Bulky Offense style team, preferably with that tasty Zor voltturn. Honestly, I don't mind what playstyle the team is or which sets are used, I just want to use these broken mons before Zor gets banned ;-;. Thanks in advance! :D

houndoom-mega.gifscizor.gifstarmie.gifrhyperior.gifamoonguss.giftogekiss.gif
Unfortunately, Sun is not a viable archetype Marunoom though Nasty Plot can still work. I started with the core of Houndoom and U-turn Scizor so Doom can get more set up opportunities. I decided to add Starmie as a reliable fighting-type answer and a mon that can also check scizor. Rhyperior serves as the Flying-resist and the mandatory Stealth Rocks user. Amoonguss synergies well with Rhyperior and helps the matchup against fighting-types too. Togekiss ties the team together as a mon that can stomach more Special attacks and can be a real annoyance to pokemon like Aerodactyl with a surprise T-wave. This is the game where elodin used it against Finchinator.
aurorus.gifsandslash-alola.giflatias.gifcobalion.giflinoone.gifsuicune.gif
Hola Akaribao , this CM Cobalion team is one of my favorites so I hope you enjoy it as well! Veil is a really fun archetype and tends to be good against low ladder especially. Latias is flexible with its sets and is a solid cleaner and most of its revenge killers are good set-up bait. CM Cobalion provides a relatively consistent stall answer if you aren't unlucky with Focus Miss. Linoone is a veil staple as +6 Extreme Speed is really dangerous late game. As I prefer Hail > Rapidspin on Alolan Sandslash, but still wanted cune, I went with "Flocune". Having both Rest and Substitute works nicely since status from Klefki or Toxic Spikes can be healed off regardless. The team was also used against kink back in week 4.
bewear.gifkrookodile.gifbronzong.giftentacruel.gifsceptile-mega.giftogekiss.gif
This team was originally built around Sub Bewear + Scarf Krook but really appreciates Bronzong on the build RyanKoopa . I wanted to try Sub Bewear ever since Accelgor submitted it for NBT ages ago, and it seemed rather nice for the game against Amukamara since it could block an Amoonguss spore and nuke shit. Bronzong served as more consistent support against opposing Psychic-types and if it died to Pursuit or Knock it would be a free Sub for Bewear. Tentacruel provided hazard removal and just goes perfectly with Bronzong in general. Synthesis Sceptile as my next pick since it meant I could use it as my scald switchin instead of potentially sacrificing Tenatcruel's passive recovery. With these five members broken ass Scizor could be a real threat depending on the coverage moves and Hydreigon looks menacing too, and Babiri Toge covered both. Hope you enjoy!

Hey, I recently came back to pokemon and i wanted to give UU a try with some of my favorite mons from the tier. Aerodactyl, Krookodile and Decidueye. Is it possible to make a decent team around them? I know Aero and Krookodile are strong but i feel like they dont work together to well ( might be wrong dont know the meta right now since i just came back today). There are no special sets I want although back when I played I used to love decidium z (not sure if there are any goods sets in the meta with this item).

So, after Mega Sab was banned, Hogg's message about the Scizor suspect said this: "The other is to provide a public test for Drizzle and Drought. Drizzle was banned in a very close council vote back in UnderUsed Beta, after multiple previous votes had failed to ban it, at a time when it looked inevitable that Mega Swampert would drop to Underused in short order. "

So I thought, he he, its rain team time.

These two are the rain setters that I request for my team. Utilizing Prankster, they can prioritize Rain Dance for the team, which is crucial to a rain team. Klefki is more reliable, as its defensive typing lets it get up rain more easily. Tornadus is a bit frailer, but a more stronger utilizer of Rain Dance, as its offensive presence and access to Hurricane+ Coverage moves such as Superpower, it can put a dent in teams itself.

So now, what are the rain sweepers gonna be?

I dunno, that's entirely up to you builders. Let's see what you come up with. As with most rain teams, it should be offensive.

Yo PhantomHurious, your Malt and AV Scizor request is complete!

I changed the Altaria to a Refresh variant than the EQ one you requested to help ease the stall matchup. It still fulfils the job of setting up and looking to sweep once its checks are removed. AV Scizor is the glue to the team for removing Pokemon like Celebi, Latias and Gengar which can be nuisances for the team. Rotom-H completes the VoltTurn core you requested and gives you a check to Scizor and birds like Moltres. Rotom is the speed control for the team, Trick punishing bulkier Mons when the scarf isn't needed and T-bolt to better handle Moltres, Togekiss etc. Gligar provides you with hazard removal and an answer to Coba + Terrak. Cobalion is one of the breakers on the team that provides you with a Stealth rock user and check to Scizor and Bisharp. The Shuca Berry allows you to break through Gligar which commonly defogs against you as well as luring Krook and Maero looking to revenge you. Finally Latias helps you break through Pokemon like Amoonguss and Tentacruel, while working well with Malt thanks to them chipping each other's checks down.

I hope you enjoy using the team ^_^

Malt - Enough HP to eat 2 Krook EQs from full.
Scizor - Creeps other Sciz and helps with handling Lati / Gengar etc.
Gligar - The 9 IVs and Relaxed nature make you slower than Scizor so you get momentum off them.

It is not common to see the double Aurorus + Sandslash-Alola and Linoone to sweep the end game. I'm curious to see this pair of ice in action. It will be good a team to surprise and to know new strategies (yes, I am new in the game). Thanks for the team and for the replay.

Hi!

Can anybody help me building a balanced team for big ol' 4 attacks Mamoswine, please?

Mamoswine (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Icicle Crash
- Ice Shard
- Knock Off

I indeed am aware that Jolly is a million times better, so please save yourself the long explanation for it.
Since Mamoswine is kind of a self-explanatory Pokémon, I don't know what else to add.
I wanted to run Knock Off instead of Rocks solely based on personal taste. Even though Mamoswine is not a bad rocker, I just preffer to run a 4th move on it.

Other than the balanced team I have been trying for Mamo, I would really like to keep it Adamant.

Thank you so much in advance!

The UU Teambuiilding lab sattes that you can only post pokemon ranked in B- tier and above. Venomoth's not even ranked, unfortunately.
I would like to request a team around Venomoth. It seems like a very capable sweeper due to being able to put something to bed and start setting up quiver dances and its ability in tinted lens makes it seem all the better. Looking forward to seeing what the person who takes this request whips up (unless Venomoth is considered troll/unviable in which case I'll find something else.)

Venomoth (F) @ Buginium Z
Ability: Tinted Lens
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Quiver Dance
- Sleep Powder
- Bug Buzz
- Sludge Bomb

I've never really understood why we can't request teams around pokemon lower in the viability rankings myself. It's one thing to ask for a team based around a pokemon that isn't viable in the tier (Venomoth is among those unviable pokemon, unfortunately). But is asking for a team based around a mon like Crobat, or Pyukumuku, or even Hoopa really too much to ask for? I'm curious to hear why that rule is in place.
