This team was originally built around Obstagoon but it fit Slowbro-Galar nicely. Mowtom and Cobalion are able to provide paralysis support and make Obstagoon much more threatening. Gastrodon and Slowbro-Galar are able to eat most hits together. Noivern rounds out the team as a fast mon that does not rely on the paralysis to pick up kills. U-turn is also helpful for getting Obstagoon in on opposing Chansey, AV Glowbro, etc.

Scarf Keldeo is able to pivot on Slowbro for Pangoro to break. Gigalith provides a Flying-resist. Doublade is able to serve as a switch in to opposing Fighting-types like Terrakion and Cobalion. It can clean up late game with Swords Dance as well. Roserade and Noivern patch up the Keldeo match up. Roserade spikes makes Pangoro more annoying to switch into and Noivern can revenge kill too.

These 4 pokemons are what i could salvage out of my former Pre-DLC 2 OU team, and i want to build a UU team out of it. Here is the original team https://pokepast.es/7bd60a1fa99a4d27

I need two defensive Pokemon to replace Ferro and Clef (obviously because they're OU). Any suggestions?

*Note: Would also appreciate improvements/replacements from 4 of the above Pokemons (because they're build around DLC 1 OU meta). If i can help it, i prefer to keep Hydreigon and Volcarona, because i kinda like them.

Thx :)

This isn't what the purpose of this lab is for I'm afraid. You can get help with this in the UU discord or !PS room potentially. We build teams off a core provided (Maximum 2) as stated in the OP.

To everyone else, this lab is also likely to remain closed until mid-late December or early January so I'm going to have this thread locked.

Golurk @ Choice Band
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Poltergeist
- Earthquake
- Ice Punch
- Dynamic Punch

I'm back and even though many people tried to stop me from posting pure heat here I will do it anyway. I am politely asking for a team made with Godlurk. It's not on the VR list however because the vr list is unviable but I believe that it is something that is definitely worth building around. Golurk has an fantastic offensive and defensive typing (ghosts are broken and grounds are necessary) allowing it to come in on broken ass terrak, and toxtri and ofc many more but those are the biggest ones. Offensively wise this thing is a fucking nuke I cannot comprehend why it is not on the vr list. It has a 110 stab boosted 100% accurate (with no guard) move called poltergeist, and this just clicks buttons being able to 2hko things such as tang, among, skarm, celesteela, max def kommo. Basically, you name a defensive mon godlurk can bust through it. On top of the nuke, it has orgasmic coverage. With coverage with ice punch to demolish mence, 100% accurate dynamic punch to fuck over the normals and ground coverage for options that you may not want to not waste poltergeist pp on. I hope this post opened up your eyes that Godlurk is truly a devastating nuke in the meta right now and is definitely worth building on and deserves to be in the viability ranking unlike trash ass palossand. Ty for reading and I hope you join me in Godlurk Supremacy.

Victini @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Victory Star

Tapu Bulu @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Synthesis
- Horn Leech
- Close Combat
- Megahorn

Well, so far the fire/grass core is fine. But it has potential due to victini dealing with many mons bulu hates such as tangrowth, skarmory, and celesteela. While bulu proivdes crucial resistances against crawdaunt, bisharps dark attacks, Krookidile, and zeraora. Bulu also gives victini passive recovery which it appreciates a lot and the ability to weaken earthquakes helps it a lot against many mons such as kommo-o or mamoswine. This core has problems against lati twins, special mence, niholego, and sash NP zam due to their coverage, speed, and the power to break through the core

Can someone can build me a AV slowbro Galar +Scizor Band Balance ? Ty

Hello hello! ORAS UU looks like a really cool tier and I'd love to try it out, so I am requesting a team built around one of my favourite cores: Celebi + Tentacruel!

Celebi @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Giga Drain
- Psychic
- Dazzling Gleam

Tentacruel @ Black Sludge
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Sludge Bomb
- Ice Beam
- Rapid Spin

Feel free to change up the Tentacruel set a bit as I don't know if the offensive or utility set would be a better match to Celebi. I would like the team to be a bulky offense or balance style. Thank you very much in advance to whoever takes this request!

Hello guys, i'm currently requesting a core with Skarmory and Slowking, is for SS UU, thx for read.
Sets:
Skarmory @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 160 Def / 96 Spe
Impish Nature
- Brave Bird
- Spikes
- Whirlwind
- Roost

Slowking @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Future Sight
- Thunder Wave
- Teleport

<Click Sprites for the Importable>
Pokeseba HydreigonTheChild This fulfills both of your requests. I built the team around special Victini + Spikes so naturally, Skarmory fit best there. Iron Defense Skarmory helps ease the Bisharp and Scizor matchup. Slowking + Tapu Bulu help ease the Latias matchup. The Tapu Bulu set is faster than the neutral base 60s, Darkest Lariat improving the matchup against the whole Grassy Seed stuff. Terrakion because the team needs more wallbreaking support + it gives rocks. Finally, Krook for role compression and Speed control.

Some other options you can do here:
  • Going SD over Megahorn on Terrakion.
  • Glaciate can be used on Victini for Salamence and to a lesser extent Latias.
  • A more offensive Bulu as long as you run Thunder Wave Slowking to make up for it.
Enjoy or don't

hello hello, I'd like to request a SM team built around Mega Altaria + Infernape. The MAlt set I'm using is a standard DD one, so I think offense would be the best playstyle. SM seems like a pretty fun meta and those are two mons I really want to try competitively and that I just like in general.

Altaria-Mega @ Altarianite
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature

Infernape @ Life Orb

Naive Nature

Hi everybody:

I am looking to be an ORAS Superstar, but I want to take Beedrill along for the ride. Can someone make me a super duper good ORAS team with Mega Beedrill and Sylveon? This is what I have so far:

Beedrill @ Beedrillite
Ability: Swarm
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- U-turn
- Poison Jab
- Drill Run
- Knock Off

Sylveon @ Leftovers
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hyper Voice
- Wish
- Protect
- Heal Bell

But I am not married to those sets if there is something better to work with. I know Beedrill doesn't get the speed boost same turn in ORAS but I'm risky and don't run Protect. Sometimes I use webs, but I will leave it to you to make something super duper good. Thank you!

Oui oui monseuirs today i would like to ask for a Diamond Pearl Platinum team. Yess french fry.

:ss/kangaskhan: + spikes

:kangaskhan: The Female Kangaroo is quite massively epic, I had tried to make a Silk Scarf set with Fake Out, return and whatever else but i could not finish the team in a way i was satisfied with it. I think this combo works well since Spikes are already great and Kangaskhan not being walled by ghosts means there is only a few mons that actually want to take the beating it is going to hand out when spikes are also chipping. I didnt specify a Kang set nor a spiker because i cannot decide but anything from Silk scarf to band/lo/subpunch is greatly appreciated. En fin, I hope this made sense andd gets accepted hf gz gn. :kangaskhan:

Nice, time to ask for rigorous mental gymnastics a team from peeps a lot better at building than me!

:tyrantrum:
Tyrantrum @ Choice Band
Ability: Rock Head
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Head Smash
- Dragon Claw
- Close Combat
- Earthquake

Tyrantrum isn't listed in the VR, but it was recently used in a Snake Draft match and I'm interested in trying the absurd power of no recoil CB Head Smash for myself. Is that enough for best fossil to survive in UU?

Thanks! :3

I don't have any idea what this meta is, but I remember seeing this core somewhere, so I'd like Pak (if possible) to construct an ORAS UU team with something like this:

Krookodile @ Choice Band
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Knock Off
- Stone Edge / Superpower
- Pursuit / Superpower

Kyurem @ Choice Specs
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Ice Beam
- Earth Power
- Focus Blast

Obviously you know the tier and I don't, so feel free to change w/e as long as it works. Thanks in advance!

To be honest Kyurem is an incredibly weird mon that is super hard to justify using over Hydreigon, which is easily a top 3 mon and has 900 positive attributes over it like better defensive utility, getting more offensive opportunities as a result, not caring nearly as much about hazards, faster, etc. Anyway though I tried some different concepts and this one seemed like the best, although I legit think Hydreigon + some other ground would be a lot more cohesive defensively against some decent issues like Entei and opposing Krook but I digress. The main idea with this approach was just to take advantage of Specs Kyurem's ability to chunk the shit out of Steels; all of whom don't have reliable recovery and the ice dragon has the coverage to nuke them along with its raw power. HP Fire's there pretty much solely for Escav, who could be annoying as a pivot so nuking it is nice but it could be Earth Power I guess. The mon that appreciates this attribute most in this case is the Calm Mind Florges, which imo is a pretty slept on set and naturally it likes opposing Steels either removed or chunked. Krookodile is a fairly solid partner for Kyurem, although here I went for a Scarf set due to how the rest of the team filled out. It and non-Choice Rotom-C are a decently potent offensive core along with Kyurem, as it can get them in good spots, most notably against Grasses. In particular I liked that interaction versus Celebi, where Scarf Krookodile offers trapping capabilities, giving the lawn mower more leeway later. Additionally, I didn't like a potential Rotom-C's mu against bulky Water-types long-term so being able to run Pain Split with its super low HP helped out some there. Mega Aggron and Tentacruel just made for solid fits in the last couple slots defensively and provided rocks/removal. Heavy Slam/EQ/Rocks/Tox is the most consistent Aggron imo, maximizing its matchups against the common removers and potentially pressuring stuff like Hydreigon more. Went with Knock Off on Tenta in one of its utility slots primarily to cut off the passive recovery of Empoleon and opposing Florges. The former helps out Florges a lot long-term in dealing with it, and getting rid of other Florg lefties helps Kyurem's Ice Beam rolls against it a lot since unfortunately it can't go Modest with the need to offensively check Entei/Krook, who are probably the biggest issues and its important to minimize their opportunities early. This ended up longer than I was expecting but shit happens.

:bw/altaria: :bw/infernape: :bw/scizor: :bw/hydreigon: :bw/tentacruel: :bw/rhyperior:
click sprites etc
i made a generic BO because thats where those 2 fits the best. i first added a scizor to bring nape on the steels like doublade / empoleon / lix or on the pivots like heatom / amonguss etc. spdef bcoz its a good latias check which is needed in nape teams. although this scizor could be band, idk this is up to you. then hydreigon brings some speed control, a ground immunity and another uturn user which works well with scizor. tentacruel is here for the control hazard but mainly to switch into prim. its also a good check to SD scizor which im kinda worried about since i kept the grass knot on nape and you have no recovery. should be ok tho. it will also checks things like coba, nape, luke. then last mon rhyperior : brings rock, a good tank and mostly something to absorb volturn.
team options : like i said im worried about SD scizor. band is totally fine but since the checks are tentacruel and nape without slack off it can be overhelming in late game. the team pressures it ok since its only free on malt. so 2 things you can do bcoz i kept the core like u asked it : fire blast malt over eq or dragon dance : cool thing so the whole team pressures scizor well but i kinda like DD eq here. second one would be slack off over grass knot, but the stall mu would be weird. u could also z nape and something else on scizor to keep a good stall mu and nape wouldnt chip itself everytime it tries to do something. the other team option is basically changing the scizor like i mentionned thats up to you, if u do you should prob go for some pursuit scizor with np nape.
threats :
np luke : np luke can go in if the tenta and the nape are chipped. this isnt very common so im not worried about it much.
cune : cune is tricky to stop since the altaria can be burned. it doesnt win on preview tho.
beware of drei : u have to mega to wall it otherwise its a huge threat.
have fun

Hey all, I know me asking for a team seems kinda awkward considering I've made it to the finals of the UU rating competition, but I'm stumped on building a team with the popular murder dog, lycanroc-dusk. I honestly haven't even touched it this entire dlc meta, so I'd like a team that is built around solving it's struggles with the bulky grasses, waters, and scizor in the current meta. Regardless, its still a phenomenal, fast, hard hitting breaker that deserves a lot more love than it gets, so i want to try it out and hopefully others will follow suit. Here's the set which I think is the best lycanroc spread atm, but if there is a better option by all means fix it.

Lycanroc-Dusk @ Life Orb
Jolly Nature
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

- Close Combat
- Psychic Fangs

467 11 11p Okay, Golurk has both been epic and meh to build with/use. It's a good Poltergeist bot but being a Ground-type that provides no defensive utility is kinda ass lol. Due to it not checking Zeraora it kinda mandates one of the three Grass-types and I ended up going Tapu Bulu here. It was originally Amoonguss + Scarf Tini but the mixed Kommo-o matchup was kinda dire. It's the team's Speed control and I gave it Dazzling Gleam just because of this one Pokemon. Celesteela is the Steel-type because Latias. Special Victini to not let Kommo-o in for free and it helps pressure the Tangrowth and stuff here. Rotom-W forms a VoltTurn core with Victini for Golurk to get in. It helps check stuff like Victini and Mamoswine here. I opted for Thunder Wave because this team isn't that fast and it makes Latias + Kommo-o easier to deal with but Will-O-Wisp is still usable. Finally, Kommo-o because you need a SR setter. Helps provide a Knock switchin and helps with the bulky Grass-types. Enjoy o.o
