UU -- Are we really using the best?

Pokemon that should be used more in UU:
Frosslass, I use a subpetaya on mine and no one expects sub and it covers so much in UU with tbolt(sometimes HP fighting) shadowball and ice beam.

Froslass is already the 11th most used pokemon in the UU tier, and one of the top UU pokemon used in the OU tier. How much more use does it need?

particularly because the mentioned Combee would be playing in a tier outside of even it's fully-evolved form, while Spinda is a UU Pokemon.

Only because an NU tier has yet to be established.

I'm getting sick of all those Specs Glaceons in UU, my team doesn't have much of an answer for them except revenge killing them with Aerodactyl. =\

Glaceon is only currently the 32nd most used pokemon in UU, so is not exactly overrun. What are you using as a special wall?

Well I guess because I'm just playing the same five people in repetition it makes it seem like there is more of them >_>

I don't exactly have one I have the pretty standard Curse Miltank with +Sp Def nature and quite a few EVs invested. I also have a CM Clefable but it has no Sp Def EVs. Miltank takes in the 56% range from Ice Beam and I don't have any Ice resist in my line up. So I just have to hope I have Clefable with a few CMs under it's belt or I could be screwed.

Probably going to make a new line up anyways since on the way to the top almost everyone sees your team at least 4 times. e_e

Kecleon takes 51-60%(assuming max hp and max special defense and a +nature) damage from a modest Glaceon's ice beam with specs. I would hardly call that "easily handling" it.

Modest 252 Sp Att Glaceon pulls in 591 Sp Att, there really isn't much in UU that can take a hit off her. Grumpig and Mantine are probably some of the more viable UU counters. Just hope you have rocks up and can force her to switch a lot.

UUs tend to generally be underpowered in OU in the first place, and Vespiquen is not a remarkable Pokemon.
Have you ever used Vespiquen? Or have you ever used Vespiquen outside of UU? =/ Because that can be proven false.

Obviously, she does falter in an environment laden with Rocks and Steels who wall things like Scyther and friends, but otherwise, she is quite usable in other environments.

Mostly BL, where she is my principal switch-in to the pixies who wall a lot that isn't Houndoom/Pinsir (and can stay in against Houndoom and switch in to Pinsir barring Stone Edge) as well as my last resort against boosted Alakazam/Espeon. And AO (her defenses are decent enough to not warrant much investment besides HP, so investing in Attack is wise) slams anything that doesn't resist it. She is a real case in which a misplaced crit will ruin the game for your opponent by killing their unresisting wall (though I do not espouse hax as a means of making something effective...screw you Absol).

Even OU, possibly.

What kind of fallacies are logical? :|

I mean a fallacy of logic. ^^

A better comparison would be a fully-evolved Pokemon, rather than a NFE.

Note, however, that I say that she is not remarkable. It's not a Pokemon that one would immediately look at and think of it functioning in an OU environment. I can think of many Pokemon offhand that could easily handle her - especially with Stone Edge being a popular choice.

Although only Stone Edge would OHKO (mine has survived STAB Rock Slides in the past) and with some paralysis/TR support, Destiny Bond + AO will take out at least one or two Pokemon every match.

And of course I know that, but she's a fantastic team player and actually has excellent synergy with Rapid Spinners (Blastoise, Claydol, Donphan outside of UU, Cloyster outside of UU's top 75%) and of course covers the weaknesses of most bulky waters that will take out opponent Rocks/Steels.

But I'll let you off because at least you're not one of those people who goes off and ignorantly says she "sucks". Because she obviously does not. =) It's a shame that she doesn't see more use, though, but for the reasons I listed above, you're right. =/

Uh, well I didn't read threw the whole topic, so this may have been posted earlier....

But, well I've been using psycho shift noctowl now for some time, and it is absolutely amazing. In my opinion, one of the best, if not THE best, status absorbers.

Insomnia=obvious immunity to sleep, which catches inexperienced players off guard, who forget its immune to sleep and try to set up while they think I'm asleep.

Psychi shift=shifts the status induced to noctowl to the opponent. It's worked wonders on walls who have little form of offense and like to carry toxic. Little do they know that I can toxic them right back.

All in all, it's a great counter to hypnoplot persian, and ninetails, both very prevalent in the UU environment.

sorry, including my double screen lead!

(mr mime)
to avoid further discussion, i admit that mime dies to glaceon, but with its screen support, kecleon wont
