Agility Cleaner
:ss/diggersby:
Diggersby @ Silk Scarf
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Agility
- Mega Kick
- Earthquake
- Fire Punch

This set makes Diggersby a great cleaner, able to outspeed everything relevant at +2 and still hitting pretty hard even without Swords Dance. As Quick Attack isn't needed with the speed boost, Fire Punch is chosen as coverage for Celesteela, the only relevant Pokemon that resists its STAB moves. Life Orb can also be used to guarantee the 2HKO on physically defensive Tangrowth and the OHKO on offensive Moltres with Mega Kick.

Diggersby @ Silk Scarf
Ability: Pickup
EVs: 24 HP / 252 Atk / 232 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Bulk Up
- Quick Attack
- Earthquake
- Body Slam

Bulk up can increase its survivability and allow it to survive several neutral physical hits and weak super effectives better such as krookodile earthquake, rhyperior earthquake, thundurus u-turn, zygarde-10% thousand arrows, tangrowth power whip, and jirachi iron head. While still remaining a threat even at +1

Bulky Cheek Pouch Setter
:ss/diggersby:
Diggersby @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Cheek Pouch
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Recycle
- Toxic
- Knock Off
- Spikes

This diggersby can act as a bulky spikes better that spreads toxic and basically tries to remain healthy with a combination of recycle and sitrus berry + cheek pouch. The special defense evs allow diggs to handle non Grass Knot Nihilego and Rotom-H, making it an opportunity to knock items, spread toxic or setup some spikes. (I'm pretty sure this set can own aegi, especially cus it hates spikes and being knocked)

Diggersby @ Choice Band
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Body Slam / Mega Kick
- Quick Attack
- Spikes / Fire Punch / Superpower

Diggersby is an absolute menace to switch into, Band makes it even harder to do. In the switches you can force, Spikes is also an option to set, or you can just nuke something with stabs.

Sub Salac Endeavor

:ss/diggersby:

Diggersby @ Salac Berry
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 56 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def / 196 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Substitute
- Spikes
- Endeavor
- Earthquake

You sub 4 times,(if i did my EV's right) then endeavor the most annoying wall to your team. (Chansey, Tangrowth, Amoonguss, Celesteela etc.) Spikes are for general utility, and earthquake is for aegislash. The Speed EV's lets this outspeed Aegislash and other 60's.

Diggersby @ Choice Band
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Return
- Quick Attack
- Spikes / Fire Punch / Superpower

Diggersby is an absolute menace to switch into, Band makes it even harder to do. In the switches you can force, Spikes is also an option to set, or you can just nuke something with stabs.

You might wanna fix since Return got dexited

:ss/diggersby:
Diggersby @ Salac Berry
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Endure
- Flail
- Earthquake
- Body Slam

a great gimmick set that also retains a lot of the original viability of the mon. endure + flail destroys any non-resist in the tier, and earthquake and body slam provide use throughout the game and ensure your sweep doesn't get stopped by aegislash and bops rock / steel types that won't immediately die to flail. salac gives you the speed and sweeping potential of scarf sets without the restrictions.

this set has always been good and fun, but no scizor makes it even more viable! best paired with knock users that can remove rocky helmets.

252+ Atk Huge Power Diggersby Flail (200 BP) vs. 252 HP / 8 Def Tangrowth: 346-408 (85.6 - 100.9%) -- 87.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
252+ Atk Huge Power Diggersby Flail (200 BP) vs. 252 HP / 220+ Def Amoonguss: 391-462 (90.5 - 106.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
252+ Atk Huge Power Diggersby Flail (200 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Primarina: 367-433 (100.8 - 118.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Now that the voting phase has ended, its time to announce our winner! Week 30's winners are Endure + Flail, Last Resort, and Sitrus Berry Recycle by KM, Monky25, and TotomonGang respectivly!! Congratulations and thank you all for participating! Your submission will be added to the Hall of Fame shortly!

Week 31: Pelipper

:ss/Pelipper:

As the premier Rain setter in UU, this Pelican's sets have been restricted to running Damp Rock and a set of Defog / Hurricaine, U-turn, Scald / Hurricaine, and Roost. However, it has a unique movepool with access to moves such as Knock Off, Tailwind, and Aqua Ring. This week, it's time to experiment with this water birb and find out its true potential!

Pelipper @ Life Orb
Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Agility
- Hurricane
- Hydro Pump
- Surf / Roost

Despite Pelipper's low SpAtk, it can be used as a surprisingly formidable cleaner thanks to its high powered STABs & Drizzle serving as a way to boost its damage output. The last move is up to your preference; I prefer Surf for its consistent damage output, while Roost lets Pelipper switch in multiple times during a game and can aid in setting up an Agility boost.

Whirlpool Trapper
:ss/pelipper:
Pelipper @ Damp Rock
Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Whirlpool
- Knock Off / Scald
- Toxic
- Roost

On rain teams that have other hazard removal and other pivots, this set can be run to lure in and KO or weaken threats to rain teams. Whirlpool traps stuff in and chips it down, Knock Off removes useful items like Leftovers, Heavy-Duty Boots or Assault Vest, or you can use Scald to fish for burns on stuff and deal greater direct damage. Finally, Toxic puts opposing Pokemon on a timer very quickly when combined with Whirlpool chip.

Choice Specs Pelipper

Pelipper @ Choice Specs
Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature/Modest nature
- Weather Ball
- U-turn
- Scald
- Hurricane

Despite the middling base SpA, under the Rain Pelipper can reliably use both Hurricane and the STABbed Rain-boosted Weather Ball as main offensive moves.
U-turn is here to keep the momentum while dealing chip damage. Scald is here to punish careless switch-ins with the threat of a 30% burn chance.

A Modest nature allows to reach 229 Spe points, enough to speed tie with 252 Spe+ EVs Crawdaunt, whereas a Timid nature allows Pelipper to reach 251 Spe points in order to speed tie with max (neutral Spe) Nidoqueen.

Few calcs:
  • 252 SpA Choice Specs Pelipper Hurricane vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Tapu Bulu: 324-384 (94.1 - 111.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO
  • 252 SpA Choice Specs Pelipper Hurricane vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Kommo-o: 416-492 (117.5 - 138.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO
  • 252 SpA Choice Specs Pelipper Hurricane vs. 252 HP / 168 SpD Amoonguss: 432-510 (100 - 118%) -- guaranteed OHKO
  • 252+ SpA Choice Specs Pelipper Hurricane vs. 252 HP / 248+ SpD Assault Vest Tangrowth: 348-410 (86.1 - 101.4%) -- 87.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
  • 252 SpA Choice Specs Pelipper Scald vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Stakataka in Rain: 338-398 (103.6 - 122%) -- guaranteed OHKO
  • 252 SpA Choice Specs Pelipper Scald vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Shuckle in Rain: 228-270 (93.8 - 111.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

Choice Specs Pelipper

Pelipper @ Damp Rock
Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature/Modest nature
- Weather Ball
- U-turn
- Scald
- Hurricane
Choice Specs is definitely the item.

To avoid making this a one-liner, ima make my post here.

Choice Scarf Pelipper

:ss/pelipper:

Pelipper @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- U-turn
- Weather Ball
- Hurricane
- Ice Beam

This is a fairly standard set. Weather Ball is quite strong even without Choice Specs, Hurricane is also another STAB alongside Weather ball. I considered running Shock wave over U-turn but decided it was a bad idea. Ice Beam is for grass types and U-turn can generate momentum in bad situations like when Pelipper is facing a Chansey so that it can bring something to threaten it out.
