Hey, if your reading this, you've made it into the thread and you've took the time to look over a team that actually gets you somewhere other than these shoddy teams other OU whores make where a loss doesn't matter as much as losing in the VGC. If you rate this, I solute you :P.
How this strategy works can be found here

The First Couple is actually Gengar and Smeargle.

dpfba235.png

Smeargle @ Salac Berry
Jolly
252spe,252attack,6HP

-Fake Out
-Endeavor
-Dark Void
-Endure

Smeargle's is level 50 by the way. Smeargle's objective is to endure Gengar's explosion, make the opponent sleep, endeavor to get the pokemon to 1HP and proceed to sweep like that with Jynx/Infernape. Fake-out is for anything non-ghost trying to set up. However, there are MANY factors limiting this strategy to its full potential which include. Steel Leads(Bronzong/Metagross), Ghost Leads(Dusknoir), Weather Leads(Hippodon,Abomosnow). So, worse case scenario, I sleep what I can, and fake out what I can. Gengar, even with his set, covers A LOT. And with both of my opponents pokemon sleeping I can even hit pokemon neutral to ghost or even explode. I would imagine any of you would know what to do when you ran into countering leads.

Gengar @ Life Orb
Hasty
252spe,/252spA,6attack

-Shadow Ball
-Taunt
-Thunderbolt
-Explosion

Now you may be saying, Gengar is too frail for taunt but I want you to think for a minute. If you know the VGC metagame, set up is so vital. And the only thing faster than it that sets up with a weather hazard is Crobat. If I were to go up againts a smeargle/dusknoir, I'd fake out smeargle with my smeargle, and taunt dusknoir who would most likely go for trick room. Honestly, I dont think Dusknoir would go for the kill on gengar before setting up with Trick Room. Shadow Ball is for dusknoir after it is taunted and also Metagross and Bronzong who'll probably be asleep do to smeargle. Thunderbolt is for gyra, some fylers, and water types like milotic. Thunderbolt and Shadow Ball are to cover what is most common when I am unable to explode. And with life orb, Gengar hits the sleeping opponents REALLY hard. The only thing really stopping this strategy would be Regirock or Shuckle. Regirock, I can do my best putting it to sleep and spamming shadow ball, same with Smeargle who, with low HP, will only survive like 2-3. When it comes to Lati@s, there'll never be both of them coming out at once, and in which case I can fake out Latios/Latias and then proceed to the kill with Shadow Ball/Explosion. Life Orb is to take out Dusknoir who can be a real drag to this team.

dpfba124.png

Jynx @ Lum Berry
Timid
252spe,252spA,6HP

-Shadow Ball/HP Fire
-Fake Out
-Psychic
-Ice Beam

Jynx, My favorite pokemon! I've been trying so hard to find an HP fire one of these. If you have one, please consider a trade with me as I really need it for the tornument =]. I had to find a way to use Jynx on my team!!! Jynx is useable in this tornument. Fake Out would be for if my strategy worked to fake out a pokemon that potentially was able to kill Smeargle if Dark Void missed. HP Fire would be for Bronzong who gets hit hard by this. Ice Beam for dragons that I outspeed I.E Dragonite/Flygon. Jynx will survive a dragon pulse from salamence and a Close Combat from Staraptor even without Def/SpD IVs. Psychic is for STAB and to kill Fighting types I outspeed. Shadow Ball is for if Gengar dies or Shedninja or another ghost.

Infernape @ Focus Sash
Naive
252spe,252spA,6attack

-Close Combat
-Heat Wave
-Grass Knot
-HP Ice

Substitutes:

Modest

-Thunderbolt

-Hidden Power Grass/Ice
-Protect

-Follow me and trick room just rapes my team. This strategy isnt as common as it used to be but still exists. I can fake out Bronzong but Smeargle may have follow me. My best hope is probably to just dark void both while I fake out Smeargle.

dpiconani235.gif
+
dpiconani477.gif
-Since the Average Smeargle set is Edeavour,Fake Out,Protect,Dark Void, I may be safe but if it has follow me, it's basically the same with bronzong but easier because of Shadow Ball with Gengar

dpiconani477.gif
+
dpiconani376.gif
-Not a common common lead but isn't as scary as anything paired up with Smeargle. Easily countered by my leads.

dpiconani143.gif
Infernape covers it, Gengar explodes on it.

dpiconani373.gif
Adamant-Jynx/Weavile/Infernape, Jolly-Weavile/Infernape

dpiconani130.gif
Gengar,Possibly Infernape/Jynx/Weavile

dpiconani381.gif
dpiconani380.gif
-Possibly Gengar, Weavile/Jynx

dpiconani392.gif
-Possibly Gengar/Jynx and my Infernape
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I actually only have 3/6 Pokemon needed for this haha. If you are willing to trade or even give Zapdos,HP Ice Infernape, or Jynx to me, that'd be HIGHLY appreciated. PM me to work something out!

I will be honest, Jynx really isnt the best thing to use. I mean what happens if you go up against BP meta/scizor? they both kill smergal and Jynx. Salamence is also a problem, unless you get a hp ice ape (highly recomended).

i also see problems with starmie.
I would Change Jynx to weavile

Sorry I know close to nothing about doubles, however I have one rather major point:

Why not have spore on Smeargle?

Maybe it's something about the VGC as the above poster hasn't mentioned it. But a 100% accurate sleep move can't be passed over.

I will definately consider this even though i love jynx. Weavile IS a good replacement now that I think about it :]. Fighting types will also be a problem though but I will consider weavile.

Scizor DOES NOT appear in VGC tornuments haha but you have a point with BP metagross even though it won't OHKO Jynx. Thanks for rating, Ill add Weavile as an option and start thinking about it =]

With regards to HP Ice ape, I'll try my hardest to get one as it is vital late game. Jynx probably wont survive an outrage from a Jolly Mence but it does outspeed Adamant mence and OHKO with Ice Beam

Alchemator Dark Void hits both opponents whereas Spore only hits one. You definately need HP Ice for Infernape, there are better pokemon than Jynx but I dont know much about doubles so not sure what to put there. A problem I see is that most doubles teams are trick room, rain dance or something like that and they seem like they could rip this team apart.

Again, I am considering Weavile.
HP Ice is a must on infernape which I am still working hard to get
Trick Room owns this team but 9/10 times I prevent it from working. There is nothing in this tornument that is faster than gengar that uses trick room so I'll always pull of taunt. Rain Dance, I can't taunt or fake out Crobat so that is a problamatic rain dancer however there is always the exploding option =]. Ludicolo,Kingdra, these will get taunted as well

Plush, Trick Room always goes last anyway, so it doesn't matter if your Taunter is faster.. The reason for a fast Taunter is mainly to stop Rain Dance being set up quickly, but you're not out-speeding Jolteon or Electrode anyway.

Your Gengar will be able to Taunt any Dusknoir, Bronzong etc that isn't paired with a Follow Me user or Scrappy Kangaskhan with Fake Out. However, if they predict this and just use Shadow Punch / Sneak or Gyro Ball, your Gengar is out of there.

Jynx is certainly a weak link. I'd even go as far as recommending Lapras, actually. It rocks.

@life orb
Quiet
252hp 4att 252spatt
Hydro Pump
Ice Beam
Thunderbolt
Ice Shard

is pretty awesome. I have a friend running this set on a trickhail team, which is admittedly very different to your team. Kind of different to Jynx as well. Actually on second thoughts that set is pretty irrelevant but it's a great Lapras nonetheless.

Thanks Havok. I doubt kangaskan will be appearing though. I am afraid of Follow me Smeargle+Bronzong though, this could mean trouble. What can I do to counter it. Also, If I go for Naive, Gengar will NOT die from a Shadow Sneak and 0attack EVs Dusknoir, well, I just dont think it will OHKO Gengar but Ill do damage calcz. What has been more common is Dusknoir+Smear and follow me could be a big problem as TR wrecks this team. What goes first, Fake Out or Follow me?

@Zog,Lapras is an option I guess, Although, its not as fast a Jynx and im not running a trickhail team like your friend :/.

First of all your team lacks protect. You have gengar which can explode but it will not be able to if its paired with Jynx or Infernape. I do not know what moves to replace it but lack of protect does mess you up. Also if u do not stop the trick room you wont stall it and most of your pokemon have low defense causing u do die eay and fast. I'd have to say start fresh and think about your team more often.

Oh and PM me cause i can help you out more deeply then what i said.

Gengar doesnt have to explode, and if I can't use it I wont but sometimes Ill just use it if it is dying or something and smeargle's still alive

I have thought of other teams, but this is just one team I wanted to be rated. Instead of saying make a new team, I think you should help with the team that needs to be rated.

Ambipom doesnt hit things like metagross, bronzong, snorlax, dusknoir.
I've already got a sub but thanks

EDIT; Rate the Substitutes also, keep/switch?

with all those fake outs, lucario (especially a specs) he can be a big problem. Either you boost its speed or you dont flinch it. Gallade is also a bitch. you dont want boost his speed. The basic set has a supper effective move against all your pokemon. I dont know if dark void sleeps both your opponents pokemon in doubles but if not spore is the better choice.
