CM + Psyshock Psychic-types have always been solid answers to Mega Audino, and while this variant can do some decent damage off the bat, the bulkiest CM user in the tier still doesn't give much of a damn. This is made even easier due to the fact that MAudino has traded its longevity for its coverage, which doesn't help against the CM Psychics.

Duosion has some bulk in it with his Eviolite. M-Audino doesn't beat in 1 on 1 since Duosion can Calm Mind up with it. (Of course you can lose to a crit but yeah) Since Psyshock hits the physical side you can hit through the Calm Minds from M-Audino. It's a roll if M-Audino Calm Mind on the switch in but that is in your favor.

Due to King Viggy's good bulk and speed, it can switch in on and shut down mdino, while setting up itself. Taunt prevents dino from setting up anymore calm minds so the best it's going to get is +1. The rest of the moves are self explanatory, the speed allows you to hit 220 to outpace pawniard which can be pretty annoying. Alternatively you can run 96 speed to hit 240 for mons like samu and ludi but vigoroth really appreciates the extra bulk. The only threat is sp def drops from psychic which, if the mdino is at +1, gives it a chance to 2hko you with gleam.

With a EV spread designed to outspeed this band variant of sawk, claydol makes a really decent check for sawk. Since sturdy let it hit everything on the tier twice if no hazards are up I went for a mon that can 1v1 if provided a decent switch at worst. Colbery Berry so you dont get boned by knock off and it has good utility against the skuntanks around.

Can switch into stone edge and zen headbutt, cant switch into close combat (wtf that hits so hard) or knock off. Slashed psychic over psyshock due to having a higher chance to KO sawk.

Even with no rocks, it is still a check, though again Kadabra is crippled in the process.

It's a switch in if necessary since you have focus sash but you'll ideally want to keep it in tact for when you safely switch in. Vivillon outspeeds and has the ability to render Sawk useless with sleep powder. It doesn't need to boost since Hurricane always kills. It's helpful if sturdy has already been broken but it's not too much of a problem in a 1 on 1 situation.

Reserving Weezing as a Check. Weezing can switch in on anything other than Zen Headbutt, or EQ if Mold Breaker, that Sawk can throw at it. It then promptly burns it if it stays in, rendering it much less effective, and can sort of heal back up with Pain Split, do damage with Sludge Bomb/Flamethrower, or set up Toxic Spikes. The reason it is a check though, is because it's screwed if it switches into Zen Headbutt or Mold Breaker EQ.

It's only worry is switching into a thunderbolt but Pyroar has enough bulk to survive even after stealth rocks + Life Orb recoil worst case scenario.

Mega Audino is a really good counter to Hex Rotom, as it's immune to Hex and Shadow Ball, can heal off WoW using Heal Bell or RestTalk, and is only 4HKO'ed by T-Bolt, which is plenty of time to set up a CM, and after that Rotom has no chance.

Sp Def Malamar makes a splendid check to Rotom as it can always threaten it out with a Knock Off without minding too much about having to take a Will-O-Wisp or any of its stab moves, although Wisp + Hex kinda forces you to rest if you want to stay healthy enough to check Rotom. Even while Asleep, Rotom needs to get good rolls to 3hko Malamar while all it needs to do is pull up Knock Off once while sleeping.
