Huge special defence, sap sipper and instant recovery makes Gogoat a good counter. HP ice is only dealing around 30% and it can heal off the damage and it can choose to set up some Bulk Up's to kill later if it wants :o

Vileplume takes nothing from Leaf Storm, Focus Blast, and Earthquake. The only thing to fear from LO mixed Sceptile is HP Ice, which does 45.6 - 53.8%, so you have to be careful with getting hit by that on the switch. A more special defensive spread could be used if you'd like to be safer against it, but then you miss out on the physical bulk to handle fighting types reliably. Moonlight lets Vileplume stay healthy, and Sludge Bomb lets it retaliate back. It's not the best of answers, but can work alright as a check.

This damage can be healed off fairly easily with Moonlight. Vileplume retaliates back with Sludge Bomb, and all of this combined makes it a nice check to Sceptile.
Please check to make sure you're calcing correctly - 252 SpA Life Orb Sceptile Hidden Power Ice vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Vileplume: 161-190 (45.6 - 53.8%)
Vileplume is a pretty subpar check to Sceptile imo because if its taken just the slightest bit of prior damage it gets 2HKOed by HP Ice.

Quagsire is a pretty good response as it ignores any of Mawile's Swords Dance boosts and tanks all of its hits, boosting up with Curse, potentially burning a switch-in with Scald, or just hitting back with Earthquake. Just hope that Play Rough doesn't crit if you want to switch in to an attack.

To be fair these checks show why Grass Knot is a superior option on Mawile in the first place since no-one really runs Ferroseed anymore and Vileplume is much easier to switch into in this tier than Rhydon and Quag (ban scald).

My buddy Pyroar is a hard check to SD mawile since it can take any two of its moves without rocks up and can proceed to roast it with Fire Blast or burn it with wisp on a predicted sucker punch. Should Mawile be at plus 2 attack already, you still manage to live the play rough from full and stop its sweep cold with a burn.

I've got Jynx here as a check. Here is some scenarios played out below for you.

Jynx wins if:
A) Jynx gets a free switch into +0 Gorebyss. Jynx then proceeds to net the 2HKO with Psychic, tanking Gorebyss' +0 or +2 HP Electrics depending on what it chooses to do.

B) Jynx comes in on any attacking move by +0 Gorebyss. Jynx gets the Lovely Kiss and nets the 2HKO with Psychic, tanking an additional +0 HP Electric if necessary.

Jynx loses if:
A) Jynx switches in on a +2 HP Electric from Gorebyss. It straight loses from there.

B) Jynx comes in as Gorebyss Shell Smashes. Jynx tanks the first hit, gets the Lovely Kiss off. Gorebyss gets the first or second turn wake and the 2nd +2 HP Electric.
