What new Pokemon in Black & White would you want to have in your party?

This is incredibly difficult... I had about 30 other things I wanted to put in. Doredia, Morobareru, Kuitaran, Rankurusu, etc. I might just end up seeing what I can catch first so I don't have to make all these decisions... plus this team has three Dark-types on it so that might have to change.

Possible Team:
-SwordsDance Garchomp
(assuming he is brought down to ou due to the powerful pokes Gen V. has introduced)
-HihiDaruma(140 base attack w/Encourage and FlareBlitz begs for choice scarf)
-Empoleon(Bulky Sweeper)
-Crobat
-Tyranitar(To maximize Garchomps effectiveness w/SandVeil. And a really nice bulky attacker)
-Jaroda(I love the support moves this guy gets)

I've been making this team for the past couple of days, with shoddy not available it's not as if I'm pressed for time. I've always enjoyed offensive teams.

That's the team I really want to run through with, but so many of them are so late into the game. Will probably end up crushing stuff with Gigiasu's prevos until I can get to the desert and get Meguroko and....basically solo with it until I manage to find the next pokemon in the group (Denchura or Nuttre's prevos, I believe?). At one point or another I want to use just about everybody in Isshu in various runthroughs, but those are probably my Top 6.

(sidenote: if I end up doing a speedrun at some point, which is likely, I'm going with Daikenki, Hihidaruma, Shinpora, and various HM whores. That trio will destroy.)

I'm still thinking of what to use with it, but this is the big thing on my mind right now: Shandera, that evil onibi-chandelier that can abuse walls for setup, thanks to Shadow Tag. Also of the best Scizor counters ever.

This is the set I want to run.

Timid / Leftovers / Shadow Tag
- Substitute
- Calm Mind
- Flamethrower
- Shadow Ball
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Sp. Attack / 252 Speed

I think I'll run with:

-Grass snake dude
-Ground crocodile
-Electric Zebra (may sub in for electric derp flounder)
-Turtle guy
-Shanderaa
-aianto or perhaps the electric spider guy if I change the zebra/derp with something else.

Honestly I'll only for sure use the crocodile, grass snake, turtle guy and Shanderaa for sure.

ALL HAIL KING ZOROAK I've always been a fan of dark types (Absol is still the best pokemon ever no matter what gen).

The Sea Turtle

553.png

this croc with his stunna shades on deserves to be on every team

desukan the Mummy

The megaman looking pokemon

Ditto

All come to mind

HM SLAVE
Only the first three will definitely be used, pretty much just chose the coolest designs and Pokemon I think will be fun to beat people with.

ditto has a new ability that lets it transform upon entry making him a bad ass mofo. plus he copies the boost from choice items meaning he can copy the boost but not get stuck with the effects

or at least that's what i have been hearing the second part might not be true but the first part is 100% true

In the end solo-ing the game with water starter + Hihiduarama is more effective than anything else.

Encourage Flare Blitz off 140 base attack >> everything

Daikenki(the water starter)
Zeburaika
Dottekotsu(no one to trade with =/)
Shinpora

too lazy to train more than 4 pokes lol. I was gonna use the fire monkey, but for some reason he was forgotten.....

might stick an HM slave in too. don't wanna use the dragons, cos a lot of them come a bit too late, and I like having my pokes early...

Main team:

530.png
534.png

Daikeni (wotter) will be my main water type, simply because he is THE coolest starter (and smugleaf secretly knows this). Hihidaruma is my main fire type because he kicks ass early, mid, and late game with encourage. Denchura is there because he's a fast special attacker who will dominate with signal beam and electi ball/compoundeyes thunder. Doryuuzu is my teams ground type because croc sucks and doesn't have access to drill liner. Roopushin is their simply because he is 10x better than nageki or dageki as a fighting type. Finally, Ononokusu is there as the badass dragon that will be the powerhouse of my team.

MY TEAM ROX!

What's with all these Dittos? Am I missing something?
People were linking to pictures from a site that took down its Pokemon sprites and replaced them with Dittos after Nintendo contacted them to take down the B/W images.

This is my general way of making teams in-game.

Water type(maybe starter)
Grass type(maybe starter)
Fire type(maybe starter)
Dragon type(usually the 600BST, but it doesn't have to be)
Primary optional pokemon(pokemon that caught your eyes)
Secondary optional pokemon/HM slave(pokemon that drew some of your attention, but not as big of a deal as your Primany optional pokemon, or it can be an HM slave, such as Gen. 4's Bibarel)

In-Game, I wanted the grass starter, but since theres some grass-types that I like and no water types that I like, I chose the water starter.

Then I chose Morobareru, because my favorite type is poison, ironically, my favorite stat is HP, and I am in need of a grass type. The only down side is the terrible speed.

For my fire type, I chose Urugamosu, because the only real competition for a special fire type was shanderra and IMO, bug>ghost and urugamosu just has a lot better moves(butterfly dance! fire dance!). In-game, flame body>flash fire.

For my dragon type, I chose Ononokusu, because the 600 BST Dragon must evolve in the late 40s, 50s, or even 60s. His pre-evos have a horrible ability, hustle which can really affect a couple wins and loses. Also, Urugamosu is a special monster, Ononokusu is a physical monster.

My primary optional pokemon is Zoruark, because of the great ability, stats, and good typing(i guess)

My secondary optional pokemon or HM slave is Desukan, mainly because of its incredible bulk and sprite. Its also handy to have a bulky ghost, as we all have seen the bulkyness of dusknoir and rotom-As.

My team in-game will probably look like..

Yeah, I follow a similar format to in-game teams as the guy above lol. I always use 1 grass, 1 fire, 1 water, 1 flying, 1 steel, and 1 dragon. I try to balance the HMs among the team, as I refuse to use HM slaves..

My White Team (I'm getting White First)

My second favorite starter (I generally keep the starter I like best for the third version as I always have the most fun on that playthrough). I like that he gets non-water level up moves such as Megahorn and Revenge.

This guy's going to be a monster. Flare Blitz off of Encourage is going to deal a lot of damage. From what I understand, he's available decently early in the game too (or at least his pre-evo is anyway)

My Favorite Gen 5. Pokemon. He looks so badass and is strong to boot. He's going to kill a lot of stuff for me

My second favorite Gen 5. Pokemon. I think he looks really cool and he has a good typing. I normally don't use defensive pokemon in-game but he's got a good attack stat so he won't be a pain to train.

Wargle looks really cool. The best normal/flying pokemon ever and one of the reasons I'm getting White over Black at first.

This guy's basically Machamp without No-Guard. He's very strong and durable and will be a force on my team.

My Black Team

My least favorite starter (shame because I like his first two forms a lot). He's not a very strong attacker so training could be a pain, although there are usually plenty of rock/ground/water pokemon to make him easy to train.

This guys my ground type for my team. Overconfidence is going to be really interesting in-game as I can keep killing things while gaining power at the same time.

The superpowered Chandelier makes an appearance as my fire-type. 145 Base Special Attack speaks for itself. This guy's going ot do some major damage.

Denchura is really cool as its a bug/electric type. Compoundeyes thunder is cool too because of its improved accuracy. Denchuras here because of his unique typing and I think he looks cool

There aren't very many good water pokemon this gen so this guy is here because he can actually supply some decent attacking power.

Can you get both fossil pokemon in one version? If so then I'm definitely choosing this guy as my flier. Solid attacking stats on both sides of the spectrum and good speed make him a solid addition to my team

My Gray/Whatever the third version is called Team

My favorite starter. I originally thought he looked horrible but I've been liking him more and more lately. I think he looks pretty cool and he has some great level up moves to boot such as Nitro Charge and Head Smash. He's a little slow but bulky and powerful so that makes up for it

Doryuuzu again. My favorite Gen 5 poke so I'm using him again. He's gonna be a monster

This guy makes a reappearance because I think he looks really cool and is both strong and bulky

I've been interested about this guy. As a Water/Ghost he should get some pretty decent moves. I need a water poke for surf, waterfall and dive so this guy fits the bill

The first of the amazing dragon duo. This guy hits like a Nuke and has decent speed as well. Getting both Dragon Dance and Swords Dance is amazing as well

Part two of the Dragon duo. The more specially oriented of the two. I'm a bit disappointed by his appearance (I was hoping he'd look something like the Cyber End Dragon from Yugioh) but he still looks cool and is plenty powerful.

Edit: Does anyone know how to post images on a mac? I keep getting the link to the image when I drag and drop them but not the picture itself

In light of some recent information, my in-game team has been revised a bit. My favorite new pokemon, Erufuun, turns out to be a black-only exclusive, which means no Zekrom. The silver lining is that Reshiram is so much better than Zekrom in terms of usefulness, but it looks incredibly stupid, while Zekrom looks badass and is a perfect fit into my uber team.

Kojondo is better than I thought he would be. I was ready to forget him because he didn't learn Close Combat, but i've come to realize the strength of U-Turn + Regeneration. He's a great scout.

And finally, some pokemon are obtained through events and therefore not suitable for an in-game team.

So here is the team that i'll be playing through the game with:

I can't seem to come up with a moveset I like for this guy so he's currently a sub, and evolving him seems annoying:
617.png

These two event pokemon would have made my team had they been obtainable:
648Meloia-s.gif
647.png

And those are the only pokemon I like from black/white, with the exception of Chillachino (i'll pray for a fake out tutor) and Zekrom (why the heck did Erufuun and Zekrom have to be in different versions? I'll just trade for one).

When I start raising things competitively, i'll be raising these dudes:
Spr_4h_038.png
Spr_4h_049.png

Ninetales for permanent sun, and Venomoth for sleep powder/bug buzz/butterfly dance/baton pass. The Venomoth set is what i'm most excited about in black and white. I've always loved venomoth, but it always kinda sucked. Not anymore! The problem here is that I already own an amazing shiny ninetales, and now I have to raise a new one that will almost certainly not be shiny. I hate when GF does that.

And those will be the additions that black/white gives me.

Kind of random, but they're all fairly cool, they synergize well and they hit hard. Also all show up fairly early game (besides Kojondo), so I can compare having a full team most of the way to running very few pokemon most of the way. That way I can decide which route to take for Pokemon Red-All-Over (which is what I'll be calling the threequel until it's confirmed to be Gray). Speaking of, my RAO team would probably be:

561.png
593.png
625.png
586.png

Trading over a firebug egg from either Black or White so I can be all "screw the rules, I want a pokemon that evolves at an obscenely high level", taking Wotter as a starter so Flash Fire Urgamoth can laugh at Jaroda and Boarburn's attempts to hurt it. After that, I'm just picking all the good stuff I didn't use in the initial runthroughs of the other two. Except Wargle. And the lamprey. And Oobemu and Rankurusu. And Desukan and Zoroark. And Pendoraa. And Gigiasu. But hopefully I'll have used them in other runthroughs of White.
