What's Their Last? - ON BREAK

looks more like ape than rak to me. Team is a bit lacking in ways to handle Aeg and Rachi to suddenly be adding another poke that doesn't handily beat either. Still tho a fast fighting type seems p obvious to me because the team needs a much more solid way to beat Kanga.

Infernape @ Life Orb
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 36 Atk / 220 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Overheat
- Close Combat
- Fake Out
- Protect

Volcarona @ Lum Berry
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Flamethrower
- Giga Drain
- Quiver Dance
- Protect

Aegislash looks like a problem so going flamethrower over heatwave to get around wg.
Thundy also looking problematic so I use Lum Berry. Having flame body means kind of a Kang check.
Volc + Aerodactyl is very fast strong and complementary core

Thanks to Bughouse for providing this week's team, here's what he had to say about those first five members:

The team started around a set that I've always kinda liked: Sub Thundurus. Why Taunt the Amoonguss when you can sub on it? Why try to predict what the Scarf Lando-T is gonna do when you can just sub on it. I am using Magnet here to give it a little extra oomph for hitting important threats to the rest of this team, especially Mega Zard Y. Thundurus, even fast Thundurus, doesn't like Mega Diancie, and it also doesn't particularly like Amoonguss, even with Sub. Sure you don't get Spored and your subs will last, but Amoong is still redirecting. And I'm not new meta enough for Goggles tbh, and I'm the goggles king. Anyway, these two mons and also Kang and Gardevoir, who can break and hit/just straight up hit Thund through its subs, led me to pick Metagross as my mega, with Bullet Punch because really fuck Diancie and Gardevoir and also Sylveon. Now I wanted something super reliable for Heatran and Kanga, so I went Keld. Metagross also now helps with the Latios and Amoonguss problem Keld has. Next up was Ferrothorn, who helps with the TR matchup, the Rain matchup, Aegislash, Lando-T, while also providing further backup on Kanga, Latios, Gardevoir, etc. Finally Talonflame provides necessary speed control for countering opposing Tailwind teams, power, and coverage, and can act as an emergency button against most all playstyles, importantly covering all of Rain, Sun, and TR.

So what's their last?

Submissions deadline is Thursday at 11:59pm EST!

Darkrai @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Bad Dreams
EVs: 160 HP / 252 SpA / 96 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 1 Atk / 30 SpA / 30 SpD
- Ice Beam
- Dark Pulse
- Psychic
- Hidden Power [Ground]

This team will benefit from a strong dark to hit TR setters and a mon to take out lando and heatran.
With choice I get a nice bit of bulk. Ice beam will catch landos off guard. Psychic will hit threatening fighting types. and HP ground as a heatran counter

IT'S PANDAMONIUM

Pangoro beats Latios, Heatran, Kang, and Charizard Y. It does so with Strong STABs, Stone Edge, and Choice Scarf. The Panda knows what's for dinner.

Pangoro @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Scrappy
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Low Kick
- Knock Off
- Stone Edge
- Parting Shot

CatDog (Landorus-Therian) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 44 HP / 252 Atk / 212 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Rock Slide
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Superpower

a very basic suggestion, but it does help with diancie, helps with heatran , threatens charizard y, intimidates kangaskhan , and is fast overall. a dragon as the last spot is actually fantastic, but hydreigon is booked, and latios gives a second psychic type which means landorus u turn, bisharp, hoopa in tailwind and such can be anoying, while landorus does decent.

Kyurem-Black @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Teravolt
EVs: 132 Atk / 124 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Ice Beam
- Earth Power
- Fusion Bolt
- Dragon Claw

Alright as much as i hate scarf kyurem-b, it does threaten a lot of dragons, including those of the faster variety, which this team needs. It also soft checks about a million other things. EV spread lets is KO hydreigon with d-claw, and by extension latios and latias.

Landorus-Therian @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Earth Power
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Stone Edge
- Protect

It's Landorus-T but not as you know it! It provides intimidate to cushion the team yet adds more ways to beat Mega Charizard-Y, Heatran, opposing Landorus, Mega Diancie and Aegislash as they all seem to have good match ups with the team. It still adds speed to the more offensive nature of the team but gives the team a little more breathing room if so required.

From the OP: "No stealing of ideas. For example, if someone else has already posted a bulky Thundurus set and you think that a different spread on that same Thundurus would fit better, tough. However, if the sets are different enough that they clearly serve different roles, multiple nominations may be made for the same Pokemon. Use your judgment on this one, I will not hesitate to make you change your nom if it is too similar to a preceding one."

Life Orb Special Lando-T is quite different from Physical Scarf Lando-T, so I'll allow it.

It's "Thursday", so you know what that means! Time to vote! These are more "rounds" than "weeks" at this point, but w/e
