What's your lead?

I run the following Jirachi:

Jirachi @ Leftovers
- Reflect
- Wish
- U-turn
- Drain Punch

Drain Punch is for Weavile and T-tar (and to a lesser extent Blissey) but I haven't really been able to use it all that effectively, so I'm thinking I should use Ice Beam instead.

In ADV I used Vaporeon with maxed SA EV's Surf, Ice Beam, HP Grass, Protect... It actually worked really well because of Vaporeon's resilliance. Even when I'd run into an electric lead, they would usually sub once or twice first expecting a switch, allowing me to easily KO after taking a hit (assuming I don't get crit on). Then protect to scout/leftovers recovery, switch to counter...

I've been all over the place in D/P though, hard finding something that works well for me.

wow, where's all the gyarados love (no one's metioned him yet)

Gyarados-Adamant
(212 hp, 16 att, 180 def, 100 spd)
-Dragon Dance
-Waterfall
-Stone Edge
-Taunt

Jolteon leads are the only thing that really give me a disadvantage. And even then, I usually try to bait thunderbolt so Blissey/Electivire/Swampert can come in. This gyara doesn't really do anything except try to give a turn advantage at the start of the battle, which is ever so important.

If it's a lead my gyara can handle (ie, almost all the really popular leads), I'm free to Taunt right away or use Waterfall to keep my opponent guessing at what kind of moveset I have. Taunt is so godly in D/P, my other pokes get a free turn to switch in without fear of Wow/Hypnosis/T-wave.

azelf@choice scarf
232Atk/152Spd/124SpcA Naive nature
U turn
explosion
flamethrower
grass knot

152 speed allows it to outrun any garchomp or salamence after a dragon dance and promptly explode it back to hell

this is is seriously deadly OHKOs most swamperts and does over 54% to bronzongs. explosion is obviously there for late game to kamikaze and it kills anything short of gengar

the thing that makes it own so much is the choice scarf, no one expects it, and it always goes first kills yanmegas and ninjasks, but its greatest strength is in weavile taking down.

Uturn, when it hangs on with focis sash i switch to a CBgross, and bullet punch takes care of that.

problems with gyarados however (explosion can deal with that ;))

Haha This was my very first lead on Wifi, because my Azelf had such ass speed :(. I used Psychic and T-Bolt over FT and GK, though.

Jolteon on my only OU team.

On UU/BL, I have a few.

Qwillfish@focus sash
Jolly
252 speed EV's, don't know the rest :)
Taunt
Spikes
Destiny Bond
Thunder Wave

pretty dependable.

My "official" team has this lead:

Crobat @ Focus Sash
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature
- Aerial Ace
- Hypnosis
- U-turn
- Haze

Hypnosis and U-Turn are the basics, allowing me at least one Hypnosis opportunity (and most of the time two) thanks to Focus Sash, and then fleeing to a counter with U-Turn (which also scouts any switch they may make after the initial hypnosis). Aerial Ace is for STAB, since stupid HootHoot/Noctowl doesn't learn Brave Bird, and to destroy Breloom and Heracross. Haze for Ninjask leads, to ruin their work after the inevitable Batton Pass. Also serves as an anti DD'ed pokemon I can't kill or outspeed if I still have 100% HP with Crobat.

I've a lopunny lead (Lol.)

Lopunny@Flame orb
Jolly Nature
EVs: 252 Atk, 232 Spd 24 HP
-Thunderpunch
-Ice Punch
-Switcheroo
-Healing wish

Used to have Agility and baton pass over TPunch and Hwish, but my team has enough speed. Screws Weavile(If it survives), Gyarados(Tpunch and burn), dragon leads. Outspeeds Jolly Garchomp & positive nature 100 base stat pokemon.

I haven't really figured out a good lead yet, so I tend to just lead with my Shiny Charizard (which will eventually be booted out of my team, I've got no support for it, and can't really be bothered putting the pieces in place to do so.).

Charizard@Choice Specs
Modest Nature
EVs: 252 Sp Atk, 252 Spd, 6 Hp
-Flamethrower
-Air Slash
-Dragon Pulse
-Focus Blast

It's kinda surprised me how well it works as a lead, to be honest, which is why I'm yet to abandon it completely. And since I have no support for it it's best to have it out before Stealth Rock goes up.

My lead now is:
Lickilicky@Life Orb
252atk/252sp.atk
Thunderbolt
Ice Beam
Explosion
Earthquake

Mixed sweeper not expected by nearly ANYONE.Ohkos Gyarados(it will DD or Taunt not expecting it to TB it) .Counters Dragons too.Done?Explode. Earthquake for hitting something thar resists most of the moves(Magnezone and Heatran)
Its unexpected, thats why i use him.

My lead sucks. =P

Roserade@Big Root
6 HP, 252 SpAtk, 252 Spd
Hasty Nature
- Toxic
- Giga Drain
- Synthesis
- Aromatherepy / Gyro Ball

The only reason it's not CS with Leaf Storm is because it need a good move like Giga Drain as backup do deal some good damage and stay alive. Pretty damn good against Gyarados (Unless it's got Ice Beam... Which many seem to have...), get pulled apart by Weavile and anything carrying Ice Beam.

Aw, screw, it's a horrible lead. But it's mine.

Zangoose @ Choice Scarf
Adamant
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
- Close Combat
- Ice Punch
- Thunderpunch
- Shadow Claw

It gets to 418 speed, which outspeeds lots of stuff in the metagame.

I usually use a hariyama lead,

Hariyama @ flame orb
Adamant
248 hp, 252 atk, 8 speed (it needs to survive a few hits with its base 55 speed, 8 evs is for other base 55s)
Fake Out
Close Combat
Facade
Bullet Punch

Fake out lets orb activate, close combat for general attacking, facade for anything that resists cc and bullet punch for sash or weakened pokes. I've had several people repeatedly try to hypnosis this, a few gyara taunts (for whirlwind, apparently), plus its surprisingly sturdy, 144 base hp is good, even with only ~60 base defences. I've survived alot, and with 120 base attack, this thing can be a monster and take out a huge bunch of stuff. Works well with a wish-passer, as burn + attacks do take their toll. My only problem is with ghosts, but bullet punch still does ~40% to a gengar and it only needs to take one/two hits normal effective hits :P.

Choice Banded Metagross w/ Bullet Punch was my former lead, but i've been running Bug Buzz/Air Slash/Hypnosis/Protect Yanmega for about a month now and haven't looked back. The thing is beastly, but it royally sucks when Hypnosis misses. I think BAM_UR_DEAD's idea of replacing Hypnosis with a third attack could be a good idea, but damn, breeding for hidden power is a bitch.

Tyranitar @ Choice Scarf
96 Attack, 252 Speed, 160 Special Attack
Nature is a tough choice, as 266 SpA is a good number, but 328 Atk is a bit low for something that usually packs a physical punch from hell. I have used Hasty so that I hit 364 Speed to beat a lot of non scarfed things expecting to go first,
~Crunch
~Stone Edge
~Ice Beam
~Thunderbolt

Dispatches the usual "send into T-Tar" switches with the good old BoltBeam combo. Crunch nukes Gengar/Starmie who expect to outspeed you, and does enough to other threats (Celebitch, ect). Stone Edge is mostly a filler, but with STAB, despite the "low" Atk stat does plenty of damage.

That is my Sandstorm Team Leader. My other leads change each day.

Porygon-Z @ Choice Scarf
Modest Nature [+SpAtk, -Atk]
4 Hp / 252 SpAtk / 252 Spd
- Hidden Power [Ground]
- Ice Beam
- Tri Atack
- Dark Pulse

Either..

Flygon@Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252atk/136spatk/60def/60spd
Nature: Naive
~Draco Meteor
~Earthquake
~U-Turn
~Crunch

Or

Hippowdon@ Leftovers
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HPs 252 Def 6 SpDef
Nature: Brave
~Ice Fang
~Earthquake
~Stealth Rock
~Slack Off

I've used quite a few leads, and here are the ones that I've liked:
Gyarados: Gyarados is just such an excellent lead. It has an advantage over several common leads such as Weavile and Bronzong, and Taunt is just plain good early on to stop Stealth Rocks and such. If Gyarados is against something that it can't beat, like a potential Specsmence, it still Intimidated it, so Blissey can come in without much risk.
Weavile: Boom, your Gengar is dead. That basically is what describes Weavile; it also wins against Salamence, which is a really nice thing. Its usage has declined of late though, because of the plethora of Gyarados, Swampert, and Bronzong leads.
Swampert: Swampert can usually get off a Stealth Rock, if nothing else. It wins against Weavile and can live for a while against Gengar. If I elect to run Stone Edge or HP Electric on it, it can also beat opposing Gyarados, especially the ones without Waterfall.

This is what I do, except I have another lead

Breloom-The antistarter murders most starters...lol

skarmory,

mostly because it walls all physicals, spikes when you can, if a special sweeper is facing you, just switch to special wall, like blissey.

Bronzong @Damp Rock
Levitate, Sassy
--Gyro Ball
--Hypnosis
--Stealth Rock
--Rain Dance
252 HP, 252 Sp Def, 6 Atk

He deals with a lot of other leads just fine, and he gets the rain going.
