I wonder does this allow Erufuun to go ahead od priority attacks like Extreme Speed? Also U-turn wreak the subseeder because any move would wear off immediately and the opponent can now send in Shanderaa for the OHKO (though he could be encored allowing a heatran set up

It would not beat Extreem because Extreem got an upgrade to +2 priority. Other Priority moves (like Bullet Punch) would be a yes though, assuming your speed is higher.

And U-Turn is great on Erufuun for exactly the situation you mentioned. They try and trap you, you U-Turn out to Heatran without sacrificing your Eru.

Here I am thinking that the last evo of smugleaf was going to be the new best subseeder with 113 unique base speed and access to taunt. I think Erufuun can subseed better but big smugleaf can actually attact and not fully get screwed by taunt.

Erufuun purely for support, guys. In my opinion, people should steer away from Erufuun if they want to go offensive or have access to Thunder Wave. I beg: no crazy Grass-type damage move or anything like that.

Leparudasu is dominant in offensive options because of access to Nasty Plot and some pretty darn good special moves and options. It also has access to encore so it has time to Nasty Plot, and with a decent 88 Special Attack and solid Speed, it wins in the offensive department, so it can afford to invest in Speed.

In the support department, Erufuun and Lepar have their own ways. Thunder Wave and Leech Seed and Stun Spore...

I really want to see Erufuun and Nattorei/Nuttre be on the same team but their giant Fire weakness is problematic... I guess Shanderaa/Heatran will be a must.

hm. didnt think about that. i guess it will still get walled by grass types though, bar toxic and 2nd poison type.

You don't really "wall" a poke like this, after all it's not really attacking. You Taunt/Encore/Stun Spore/ect... (to which there are few poke who can really counter these effects) and you cripple them, typeing doesn't matter much.

You still have to KNOW when to Taunt. If you hit the wrong button and use say Leech Seed, you're locked into Struggle for 2-5 turns.

Of course you need to predict but even if you make a mistake and get taunted it doesn't really cost you much/anything. If you throw a leech seed then yours would go first (thanks again to priority), then you get taunted, and you're free to swap out the next turn, no actions lost (or even better U-Turn out).

So... what is the priority +/- If this thing uses trickroom with mischievous heart? is it still negative or does his ability take over and move the priority to +1

kk might as well stop lurking and start contributing :toast:

Erufuun@Light Clay/Focus Sash
252 HP / 156 Def / 100 Speed Bold Mischievous Heart
~Light Screen
~U-Turn
~Encore
~Taunt/Memento/Stun Spore

This is perfect for setting up sweeps. You come in on an Stat Boosting move, threaten with Encore, use Light Screen and gtfo basically. If you survive, then use U-Turn to get out. ( that should be on every Erefuun set in case you do get taunted.) Another way of getting out would be Memento, in which case you could also stop an opponent's sweep. Stun Spore could be used to cripple sweepers as well or to spread paralysis for your slower sweepers. Talking about sweepers, the pokemon to take advantage of Light Screen should have a really high defense + access to some good stat-boosting moves. These Pokemon could take that role pretty well:
Aggron
Cloyster
Rhyperior

Cloyster + Aggron both have 180 defensive stats, the light screen would give them enough special bulk to set up a few Shell Breaks/SD's.

tl;dr
1) Send in Erufuun, use Light Screen
2)gtfo
3)Stat boost sweeper
4)???
5) PROFIT
:pimp:

I'ma test this soon with Cloyster :D e// With Focus sash... Light Screen and then memento would basically guarantee 2 Set up turns.. (switch + take 1 hit, then raep)

Yeah, SubSeed sets can't land any damage on Grass- Types, though the opposing Grass- Type could be Set-Up bait for Shanderra.

I'm trying to get the research guys to find out what Slip Through does. If it does what I think it does(ignore opponet's Defense/Special Defense stat when attacking), than Erufuun could also be an extremely good wallbreaker.
But THIS IS NOT PROVEN. Just theorymon.

Erufuun @ ____
Naive
Slip Through
U-Turn
Energy Ball
2 Filler Coverage Moves like Hidden Power [Fire], Shadow Ball, etc.

If it does that, then the Growth set might actually work. It'd be interesting to see what it actually does.

Slip Through apparently ignores Screens and Protect.

Oh boy... definitely making room for this on main and Semi-stall Wi-Fi team. Here, you potentially have the best anti-lead in any tier, outspeeding even Aero and Ninjask and fucking them before they fuck you. Stall is fucked in the ass, stall fucks other teams in the ass. This thing definitely has it's own niche already.

Being able to invest in Defences over speed due to Mischevious Heart makes this thing pretty decently bulky, which is cool. SR leads will certainly decline in usage purely due to this guy and the other MH abusers, meaning that with any luck I'll be able to abuse Urugamosu and Charizard better.

Really hard to decide on a moveset though, with this many viable options...

Espeon can die to U-turn >:(

I'll be going for a;
Erufunn @ Leftovers
Ability: Mischievous Heart
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 HP l 4 Atk l 252 Spe
Moves:
-U-Turn
-Taunt
-Tickle
-Fake Tears

Rid those sweepers utterly useless.

Problems is, you're relying on a bit of bluffing here to attempt a sweep, and while you are acid-raining their soldiers, they're gonna catch on and find "Protection", or another teammate. Not much utility in taking too much hits anyways, sorry.

By the way, Substitute + Stun Spore should be suggested to play a similar playstyle to Thunder Wave + Substitute Jirachi; spread paralysis around for your team and bring in a slow, powerful sweeper such as Rhypherior, Curse Pokemon, or Life Orb Heatran.

It should be used a phazer because it has the potential to cause constant switches. Slap that on a Semi-stall team with Entry Hazards in play and you'll have a very useful utility.

It does cause a lot of switches, yes, but so does every Erufuun Set. I would personally use the Leech Seeder.

I'm probably gonna use this set:

Erufuun@ Choice scarf/specs
Mischeivous Heart
EVs: 252 hp/40Att/40SpA/172 spe.
Nature: Hasty
-Switcheroo
-Energy ball/Grass knot
-U-turn
-Toxic
Just to ruin a stat-upper or supporter. I put Grass knot/Energy ball there so that it has some form of offence.
