Wi-Fi Blacklist: as of January 30th, 2014

You did the right thing by pointing them to the rules. This isn't really something we'd blacklist for but more likely infract the user if they kept doing it since it is breaking one of our rules.

Someone offered me real currency through paypal for my pokemon a while back. Should I report them?
 
Hi, is there any chance you guys can help resolve an issue with me and dende5416? I tried asking him to hatch a shiney for me.

Instead he did not return the egg and also told me that it didnt become a shiney.

I made sure that the values was correct before trading him.

He stated that it was not a shiney, so i asked for it back, he said " Bah. Accidently shut down the other night without saving when I needed to, now I shut down after saving when I didn't want to. This week is bleh."

still he gave me back another pokemon with different shiney value. the one i gave was a perfect iv rotom that is due to be shiney if he hatched it.

I do not quickly want to want to ban him or anything but try to get this issue resolved. I even offered him a shiney talon flame flawless for it back. He has not responded.

Any chance you guys can help?

Hi mantyke. i just talked to dende5416, it has been brought to my attention that it was my mistake. the guy is legit. i had the eggs all mixed up before sending it to him.

im so sorry, as for the compensating to him for my mistake, i will give him that rotom as a gift from the token of apologizing to him.

I'd like to report Devon Cleveland. The agreed upon trade was my shiny perfect Mawile and shiny perfect carbink for his shiny perfect hydreigon and sylveon. However, during the trade, I IV checked his newly reset sylveon using Psypoke and it turns out it had a 0 in SpA. So I cancelled the trade and be put in his hydreigon which he claimed to be untouched. However, I IV checked that as well and it turns out that several stats were "impossible" which means it must have some EVs. Nexus or any other mod, if you need further proof, id be happy to add you to the conversation. Thank you.
 
Devon Cleveland would you care to share your side of the story? I'm willing to pass off this incident as simple carelessness so long as no one had Pokemon scammed off of them for now (though if I hear about repeat reports like this, action will be taken).
 
I just traded someone through Pokemon Showdown. Their Showdown name was JeffersonSubmarine, and their IGN was Polythemus. I am not sure what their friend code was. He offered to trade me a 31/31/31/x/31/31 Adamant Salamance to me for a Adamant Swinub I had with Icicle Crash and Stealth Rock as egg moves and 31/31/31/x/31/31 Ivs. However, I requested a female, and he said he could give me the mother, which would be the same except just female and a bit leveled up. Problem is, once I recieved the female, I discovered it to only have perfect special def and speed IVs. After checking this, I tried to contact him, only to find out he had gone offline both in game and on showdown.
 
I did not try to scam, my game has been glitchy for me and stuff and my pokemon have Been said as 5iv and everything but apparently they aren't, I'm not sure if people are just trying to scam me by saying they aren't with the instacheck but people keep doing that, I'm sorry if it affected anyone but it's not my fault

1. Don't even think that glitch exists where the IV guy tells you the IVs wrong.
2. Still haven't explained the supposed untrained Hydreigon when it was clearly EVed in 4 different things and a speed IV of 20-21 and you didn't even know how to get a reset bag until I told you.
3. LOL at thinking I'd want to scam you -_-

This sounds like you're either fibbing about your game glitching up or you're not too familiar with how to check IVs and have been mislisting them. I don't mean to sound as if I'm patronizing you, but you do know how to check IVs right? Just use the IV Checker in Kiloude City. Using instacheck has almost nothing to do with this.

Given the fact you didn't know how to use a reset bag and where offering a clean Hydreigon, I'm most inclined to believe you're just not very familiar with game mechanics and have misinterpreted how to check IVs and EVs. Devon Cleveland you will not be added to the blacklist so long as you take the following actions:

1) You return the Pokemon AustinJ traded to you (and he does the same)
2) You read up on your game mechanics and make sure you have a clear comprehension on IVs and EVs before trading here again.

Additionally, if I hear any more about you trading Pokemon with incorrect IVs after this point, you will be blacklisted since it'll be clear at that point you're not just confused and are full of it.

We never ended up trading as I checked its stats online :). However, the sylveon was a perfect sylveon but it had a 0 in SpA instead of attack, which he claimed. It seems as if he does know how to check but was just misleading.

So you're just going to ignore a scammer just because he scammed through showdown? I'm not asking to get anything back, I just want future people forewarned and him to have a harder time doing it again. Is that too much to ask?

A decent portion of the people who use Showdown have no affiliation with smogon at all. Its almost impossible to track someone through showdown due to ip information etc resetting and how easy it is to create alts and appear as someone completely new the next day, unlike here. I'd advise not conducting high value trades on showdown unless you have a 3rd party willing to help which is unlikely.

I'm just saying I have in IGN on the post there. Would it be so hard to keep track of THAT? It's not like it's super easy to just move all your important pokemon to a new game just to change that. Geez, just trying to help other people out here, and all I get is people saying how they can't help ME. I know you can't, I don't want my pokemon back, I'm just trying to look out for future traders. So annoying.

Again, there's nothing we can do about scammers on other sites. It sucks that you got scammed, but unless that person does the same here, we can't do anything.
