Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
This wcup has been quite a journey for me, being part of the South Europe team. We've lived the best, faced the worst, and while the end was a bit disappointing we did our best through the competition and can be proud of our performance.
To you stableprince569 for having been an amazing captain over the course of all the competition. Some ppl might try to reduce you to someone who's been 3-0ed by chomper, but you did so much more for the team, providing a ton of help for building, motivating us during the difficult times... Everyone should acknowledge that, too.
Oh also, sorry if I annoyed you sometimes with my negativeness :L
To you DenisTheMenace for having been a great co-captain to stable, and for your serious and positivity. You're both a great player and a great person, and I'm glad we were in the same team.
To you XSTATIC COLD for the help with monopoke building, and for telling me that I was bad, but not as bad as some others. Was cool to get to know you a bit more.
To all my other teammates, you were all great in your own way and I didn't have a bad experience with any of you. I wouldn't have enjoyed this competition as much without you all, thanks !
To the ones who cheered me on, it felt really awesome to play these games with your support <3
And last but not least, to you Lancer Fr , toadandhishaxx and Felucia . You all contributed to my comeback in the community in your own way, and I'd not be writing this post if you hadn't been there at some point.
Sorry if I didn't mention all of you, I'd have enjoyed to but I'll keep that post reasonably short ;-;
As an ending note, I'll say that I don't know what the future is made of, but I know for sure that team South Europe's is a bright one. See you next year, and go South Europe ! :seu:
I will be honest like i am everytime.
(I ll probably edit that post after because i m tired)
- Some guys of the team deserved, others didnt deserve to go in final.
- It would be another history if Lancer and toad played, but.. it's the life.
- the global level of the team was middle range, so, after all, not a surprise. Despite Dennis and close who show again they are very good with 4 0.
- I tried to help in ss oras and monopoke, with building +advices. It worked in mono and ss.
- too much mistakes in games for some guys. I include myself (fail vs nalei and tilted vs ryy with venusaur), but Bomb should never lose his serie.
- Only 4 builders, gratz for stable dennis and close for the solid teams.
-some teams were too weak, so it was free lose.
- The guys in the team were all nice, i wish you the best to all.
Conclusion: I prefd pl but it was good to be in the team, cool teammates. Nevertheless, the defeat in semi is logic regardless of the players in the sheet in every team.
Here the ranking of the world cup
top 1: close (one of the best player)
top 2: dennis (very good)
top 3: lbdc (very good)
top 4: stable (his tour was unlucky)
top 5: karp ( good job, i put under stable because monopoke is useless)
top 6: acii (middle, but unlucky)
top 7: me and bomb(i played like a shit and he tilted his semi)
top 8: Tom (you played worse than me, i like you but i m a bit furious against you for the poor teams you brought in the tour)
top 9: togli (at least you are nice)
Hello, with Asia being out, I will also be heading out. Most of you know that I left before quarantine and rebecame active during quarantine cause I had nothing to do, and here I go again singing my swan song. My motivation and enjoyment has dipped and I no longer found enjoyment in playing which can be seen with me not starting, and going negative for the first time ever. While playing or building wasn't enjoyable for me, leading / managing team Asia was the best thing I had done this year. I've always been a sucker for manager positions and the whole strategies that come with it and by far this has been my favorite team from all the PLs/WCs that I've ever managed on this website. I'm glad that we went from 8th to playoffs contenders to nearly taking out the favorite, we might have lost but I have no regrets. In general, I'm proud of everyone in the team. I really don't like the shoutout things and showing emotions publicly but I believe that every single member of the team contributed and really deserve recognition and atleast a word from their manager.
Baleblaze I just wanted to say sorry that we couldn't achieve your dreams but there will always be next year. I want to say thank you for being my friend ever since ORAS days where I would go searching for your name through The Happy Place user list. You always helped me personally and during my 1v1 Era. You really did good this wc even if you couldn't build much, you outdid yourself and didn't become sick during a team tournament that's really the biggest achievement you could ever have, this probably sapped our luck away! rof.
Kaif Always been a fan of yours and how you continue to revolutionize your way of building and playing. Came a long way from being Asia's 2v2 doubles players. Neutral is better than negative amirite?
Euphonos my man, you did learn DPP alone and ended up 3-1 beating really top DPP players. I'm amazed and thankful to have you. Kudos and don't stop here continue learning and you're def guaranteed a spot in future 1v1 team tournaments and Asia will save you a slot as a DPP player or any other gen since you're always open to learning new stuff.
philisteen imagine recruiting me to play for Afrabs but you're the one that ended up playing for me LOL. Ayre fik 7abibi I'm glad that you could showoff what you're capable off and I know you were disappointed when you lost but the stars weren't really aligned for you this one time, you could have won easily. You're also guaranteed a spot in next team tours specially in Asia. Next step for you is letting your creativity flow and start building so you can be a whole package. I really enjoyed VCing with you, v cool and friendly guy.
frostyicelad Is that the never won a game for Asia frostyicelad???? Even if you're going negative every year you have a special place in Asia, you were the one that built most SS teams during pools and I'm amazed that you could cook teams that fast. Your luck was really horrible and I feel bad for you. You asked me why did I draft you last year and why did I draft you again, and I'll just say you do have hidden potential and you'll have your breakout tour soon. Next year? In 4 years? In 10 years? Who knows!
Kentarilmni 1v1 I didn't deal much in SM business cause I trusted you both and you didn't fail. Thank you for coming back from nowhere and starting for Asia. Only if all rusty people could shake off rust that easily and go 3-1 lmao. Proud of what you did and proved that you were still at the top of your game.
King Leo V Thanks for trying, was fun to have you around. wasn't you fault to be honest and was faulty team building and bad matchups haha. Continue bullying frosty and raj imo.
Whaleeeee Hope life gets better my man, see you next year, nyaaa.
Emperor2RaJ.Shoot Nice record of 0-0! FREE EMPEROR, FREE 2-0 FOR ASIA RAJ SHOOT.
Thanks to YASHYAHSYASHKAYXHUP aka Mr mime idk your smogon name, PartMan and Raj 00 for helping in building SS hope you learnt a few stuff when it comes to team tournaments.
Thanks to the 1v1 community for making my stay enjoyable, I did have a bumpy ride but that didn't stop the roller coaster. See you in next PL/WC when I'll be once again known as the rusty oldie. You can find me on discord with a random name tag every now and then! I'll be taking care of stuff I have left (ORAS, article) and pass the torch soon. Woo 1500 posts! I'll wake up tomorrow read back and feel cringy, please help me.
This tournament was very... weird, for me. I was physically feeling the burn-out in building and following everything that was happening, but that did not outshine the fun I had while participating. Personally, I could've done way better, the shift in focus to covering other tiers building-wise and having to patch holes in the team line-up really shifted my focus from my own preparation and games, which was clearly noticeable. 2-2 is a decent record but I could've done better. South Europe had a major activity problem last year with most people not really talking a lot and not contributing prep-wise; I am very glad we were all able to overcome it together and make the discord one of, if not the most active in the entire tournament. I am one to strive for personal improvement, so along with shoutouts I'll be giving some criticism to help you become better.
DenisTheMenace I am so so so thankful to you for taking up the co-manager position head on and putting in as much effort as you did. You honestly did way more work than I would've thought you would and made managing the team much easier for me. It's hard to give you proper criticism given how amazing of a person you are and how good you are at building and playing in general, but I think you could've given more attention to SM and the other SS slots, as they were not prepped correctly. I hope you win a trophy soon cause you wholeheartedly deserve it
Close ah, yes, my third manager and one of my best friends. I already know you don't understand anything I'm saying cause you don't speak english xd. Great player and I'm so so glad that putting you in SS paid off. 4-0 is such an amazing record and I know you would've won in finals as well. I don't really have anything to criticise you for, maybe you could've helped ACII and LBDC build, I guess. Good luck in Classic and all that.
XSTATIC COLD somehow, you were the second most active player in the discord after me, lol. When we went in I expected you to pop off playing-wise but not be as talkative and active prep-wise, the opposite ended up happening, though. I'm very glad to have had you on my team and a 1-2 record doesn't suit you at all. You're a great player and you have made great improvement as a person imo, I still think you're kinda over the edge when it comes to harshness and you kinda tilt too easily. I hope you win championships cause there's no player who deserves it more.
magicarpe_lvl100 special shoutouts to you for being one of the most consistently active presences in the discord. I was really relieved to have you on the team because it made sparking discussion and keeping up activity so much easier. You're also a better play than I anticipated and I'm really happy you were able to beat deg and finish 1-0 (4-1 if you count monopoke lol). I still think you are wayyyy to eager to beat yourself up, and you have to fix this persona asap. I was frustrated when you kept shittalking yourself and changing your server name to mock yourself. Just, stop doing that. Please. I hope you kick ass in PL
Lancer Fr I am honestly glad you were not here, not because I didn't want you here, but because your absence makes me think you got a hold of irl and that you're living a very nice life, proud of you buddy
toadandhishaxx racist nerd please don't get banned next year too
LaBalladeDesCieux amazing SM player, your 3-0 performance in pool proved it. You have a natural talent for the tier and I think you have potential to become even better than you currently are. I think you're somewhat held back by lack of... motivation? I assume. Your prep was somewhat underwhelming in certain places and you kinda didn't let yourself get supported by other members of the team. I hope you mantain this kind of record in the tours to come, have a nice one.
AltCauseImInsecure fra, I was absolutely in love with you when the tour started and you were prepping so much, and caring so much to win for the team, especially after you beat TDA too. Wail haxed you so that's that, and you lost to cp2 which is probably the best SM player, like, ever, so who's gonna blame you for it? I would never. I think you also kinda lost motivation going into later pool matches and into semifinals, but that's okay, I think it's also partially our fault for not putting enough focus on the sm channels. I still remember that it was thanks to you and your ambi aegi lati team that I play 1v1 to this day. Keep at it.
TogliBabineBoeuf very unfortunate tour for you but I know you told me you weren't gonna be able to put 100%. We took a risk and put you in a tier you haven't played in a hot while and it didn't pay off, which is unfortunate. I hope you get back into 1v1 and can strive as a player again.
stableprince569 well I made my fair share of mistakes during this tour but I put a lot of effort in it which paid off in pools, with our team getting first seed. I definitely should've won against Sansho in semis but my teambuilding wasn't at the same level as it could've been. And I don't think I should've been forced to hax power. I can't blame myself too much for the loss to Kaif, but I could've avoided that hax by simply playing better and not getting to game 5. All of my pools matches went to g5 which gives a feel of how shaky I currently am. Once PL is here I might just go back to focusing 100% on BW instead of putting my attention to literally every single gen. I hope I can get an amazing record there too. I also hope I can win Classic, it's my dream.
Tom842 I'm sorry you were thrown under the bus like this and had to play DPP with no real prior experience. You also only had my building for support, and while it might not be bad, I certainly am not experienced enough to support a whole slot on my back. To this day I still don't know what your actual main tier is lol, hopefully one day you really pop off in tournament.
Bomb21XD I am glad I decided to slot you eventually. You're a great player and you've shown it. smely socks was an unfortunate opponent to face seeing how you play each other on ladder all the time and knows you very well. You didn't pick Aegislash when you shouldn't but I can't put too much strain on you for that, since I gave you a team that was literally 3-0d by Magnezone game 5 LMAO my bad. I think you can do great things but you really have to refine your teambuilding, that's your weakest point. You re-use a lot of the same mons and cores which makes you very easy to counterteam. I think that as long as you get help with building or get teams from someone you can do great things. Good luck in the future.
Astrologistic style7shoes I just wish you were more active. I know Astro actually didn't have internet for a whole bunch of time but, still. I hope you become more active and invested in 1v1 more day.
Over-all we actually had an amazing tour, with a finish to US Central, a team that I personally like a lot. Tiebreaker lasting an entire week kinda halted our momentum and pushed us into semifinals less motivated, while USC had full momentum. So while I do wanna s/o Rosa for hosting the tour correctly and with no real mess-ups, I still have to hold you accountable for that decision. While you might personally think it's the best course of action, you should still hear out the opinion of other people, cause if basically every single player is against it there must be a reason.
I'll be in University by next year so I don't think I'll actually still be playing 1v1. If I happen to still be here I hope I get to captain again and bring South Europe to a well deserved trophy
I will try to be as honest as possible. I feel like we didn't lose it because Central was stronger than us. Personally I felt robbed of something I felt particularly(i mean reach final and win wcup). And with great humility I just say that we would have deserved at least the tb. But is useless over the damage done, so gratz Central and good luck. I strongly think that we are the strongest team in wcop, I think with Lancer and Toad we will have had a different final.
Btw unlike last year, there was much more desire to win and to "be together", there was much more activity ,we felt really good, supported and helped each other and this is due to the excellent work of the captains
XSTATIC COLD yo man! It was a pleasure for me to really meet you at this wcop . Last wcop I was practically absent due to holidays and I haven't had the opportunity to appreciate what kind of player you are. Super available to help prep and build teams and also super prepared in most of the metagames, is no coincidence you are one of the best 1v1 players on the whole circuit. Some "pool" games you could have played a little better but when counts you never missplay. Bro I would really like to be together on another team tour, who knows....
LaBalladeDesCieux AMAZING SM PLAYER, probably the best! I will be honest with you i'm not surprised of your final score, I followed the PL (SM in particular) and I was amazed by the solidity you had during the games and that I reviewed in wcup, I had no doubts. I would have been surprised if you finish tour in negative lol Only bad thing: I haven't seen too much collaboration with ACI but I can understand that it is all a matter of time which in August is less and less. I hope to see you in classic man!
magicarpe_lvl100 bro you are greatest person i've met on sd! The best temmate you can have, always active and always available to help everyone. I don't understand why you underestimate yourself, take it into your head that you are a great player, I think I won 3 out of 99999 games against you while testing. I make a bet: you will get very far at this ssnl. GM karpoat!!
Bomb21XD you're a great player and you've shown it! Was your first experience on a team tour and you made a good impact. You made some mistakes in the game (ex Aegi in the game with smely) but they are understandable and surely the positives are more. Won against TSC in bo7 it's not a bad business card. Personal advice I give you: try to build and prep more, otherwise you easily become to cteam
TogliBabineBoeuf unfortunate tour in a not your tier but i still appreciated you joined anyway
Overall amazing and stimulating tour! s/o Rosa for hosting, thks a lot.
Would be very nice to organize another team tour with a same WC and PL level but of course not the same ""size ""

In conclusion, I think I played really bad this WC especially in the Freddy/Solar series. Hopefully, I can start playing better when PL comes around so that I can get picked up this time.
This was a really fun tour and I learned a lot. I was really humbled by some excellent players and they've made me reassess how I play this tier which I'm grateful for. I'm truly glad I got an opportunity to manage such an excellent team. The team culture was super epic, I hope that US Central is a formidable name well into the future and I'll do all I can to ensure that. Without further ado, proper shoutouts.
Nalei- It was quite pog to cap w/ you. Really provided a lot of morale to the team and you did a lot better than some anticipated this tour. You helped w/ some hard judgment calls and overall made my first time managing (in 1v1 kek) p smooth. Hope to keep up contact, always a pleasure.
smely socks- My good friend I was happy you were able to prove yourself as a player. You put a lot of time into the tier and it shows. If I need to vent or just want to talk you've become a reliable place to do so and I appreciate that. Hopefully, we can play some more team tours in the future and such.
Squirtell 1v1- :goat: While you had a rough start you had quite a respectable attitude about it and really popped off at the end. I respect you as a player and how you carry yourself and it was cool to see you active. Hope you had fun bro.
UBERLandon21- Glad that you showed up despite not being initially started. Really proved that you still have the sauce it was quite exciting to see. I hope to see you return at some point in the future, one of the more exciting players to watch.
ryyjyywyy- Funny fucking dude. It was really fun to team and see your epic ideas in testing, I learned a fair amount about ORAS as well. Always really fun to team and chill in call until 6 am talking about whatever random shit. May we team again :]
Sanshokuinsumireko- I love your sense of humor and generally I think it was really fun to team. You really popped off for your first team tour, quite insane that your record was 4-1 in World Cup where it was hyper competitive. You've really proven yourself as a player and I hope for the best in your pursuit of self-improvement.
LittleRunnerXC- Really gave the team a lot of momentum at the beginning. You were super active in every channel, and I mean every channel. It's quite crazy to see and while you did have to dip near the end of the tour I think it wouldn't be fair to not mention how much you contributed to the team. Wish you the best man.
alive- Stepped up to the plate when LRXC had to dip. Was fairly active in cord which was nice. It was a pleasant experience to team I hope you enjoyed your time on the team.
Jirachirelia- I really regret not picking you up as a sub. You were really active in the cord and quite a nice presence. Hope to see you play in PL.
avariceFerno- Just cool people hope you enjoy the trophy :]
Alright time to shoutout some people who weren't on the team but I still want to mention
stableprince569- MY MAN. You really helped during finals and it's always fun to talk. Hope that we can get PL manager together I think that would be quite pog ngl.
PotatochandogkneesBopher- CONE LEGION. Really helped out in poffs w/ SS and w/e else you could. It's really fun to discuss the tier and talk with you guys, I really appreciated the help.
dom- I took your words to heart that winning wcup is harder than PL and it really motivated me to put my 100% into the tour. Overall chill as well always a lot of fun to talk, FREE MY MANS.
@ursaraing and zoomer brethren- You make my time on this site a lot more fun while there are way too many of you to mention individually I do you hope you all know that hanging out and chatting is really the reason I spend so much time w/ mons nowadays.
@seu- Our series could've been way cleaner. While I'm not going to say that it came down to hax, several series were tainted by a lot of nonsense and it was a really lame way for it to end and I'm sorry for that. The team really was a powerhouse squad with a lot of really good players and I have a lot of respect for how the team carried itself throughout the tour. Overall, wish it was cleaner since I have a lot of respect for the players on this team.
I plan on managing this next PL if I'm allowed, I'm really happy I found this community it's full of really cool people and I plan on sticking around for a while here. Well that's all I have to say, Mubs out.
Well you know how this goes, bit late but had some stuff to do oh well. Massive text walls incoming.
Its been an unfort 3 months for me but honestly this wc had been a wonderful distraction from everything else. Those who know me know that this is the favorite time of the year for me, and this year didn't disappoint. I feel Asia 1v1 has always been a close knit community where everyone puts the team before themselves and supports each other(when not leaking builders mid tour) and that's what has made it so fun to play this over the years.
While people were handing out #8 Asia in predictions like charity to the needy, I honestly believed from the time we made lineups this was the strongest we've been since our first roster- we had never been the since after losing emperor, zard and silvers. We had amazing potential in our new blood with frostyicelad , philisteen , Euphonos and King Leo V , returning vets in KentariWhaleeeee , and those who carried our team spirit in the transition in lmni 1v1 ,Kaif, RaJ.Shoot, PartMan and our captain himself, DEG .
I honestly do have to take the blame for this one-there were only 2 days where I was able to build(one with teams vs lcb and one where I came up with stone edge avalugg so I guess that's still a win) and didn't really get time to help out with other areas, and I apologize to Asia for this- you guys deserved better.
DEG amazing captain amazing friend. You really gave it your all. Considering everything you've had to go through as well, you subbed in to fill in our oras hole when bubbie couldn't make it, and always were willing to build across tiers. I hope you're safe and alright and don't take the statistics to heart- you sat 100 points clear on top of ladder in your time and I know there's still that 1v1 schoolgirl inside this catgirl obsessed tormenter you've become, and I hope we get to play in other tours before the next 1v1wc
frostyicelad I really don't think 0-3 does you justice, considering this is the first wc I think you've taken seriously. You did your best to factory teams- something I should have helped you out with and for the experience you've had I think you did a decent job. 0-3 instead of 2-1 does really suck, but rng can be annoying like that and i really hope you don't get overlooked because of that record.
philisteen My Boi. I knew you'd go positive but absolutely going 3-0 really helped clutched up our qualifications, and you really picked up learning the predictions game fast. I have no doubt that if you continue with the trajectory you're in and learn the meta more, you'll be an absolute threat for the next wc if you're still interested in 1v1. Your cheerful attitude and positive mentality really made it easy to work with you, and I hope that's something you always keep with you!
Euphonos My Boi. Again,I had a no doubt you'd go positive, but taking ink to 5 games in your first series and then redeeming it in playoffs after winning all the other matches, with comparatively little team support-you are an actual goat. Positive mentality, open and honest. Loved to have you on the team and I hope to have you again next year!
Kaif the voice of Asia's trash talk, I'm glad you finally broke the negative streak! one step at a time fren, we'll both go positive next year! You've been around since the Asian rebuild process, and its been really fun working with you! We should bully deg more together, and I hope to play with my fellow snubbull enthusiast once again :)
lmni 1v1 HOW HARD IS IT TO NOT PRESS CTRL+C AND THEN CTRL+V ON POKEPASTE AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-
No but really, you clutched up pools and went positive in like the first week which was really scary but helped up our spirits in retrospect. You and Kentari really anchored down on sm and this tier was the one I was least worried about honestly- my builder ended up not being used at all at the end haha. People have their ups and downs, but I'm glad we got you in our squad this year. Hope to see you again for the next!
Kentari My first memory of you is when you shittalked me and annoyed me to the point that I started pushing on ladder-one that would end up with me getting my ladder peak of 1903 days before OMWC started- when there weren't many players around 1800s, so I have to thank you for that. That being said, pls don't go around shittalking everyone xd. The moment you signed up for wc I immediately spammed deg on discord to get you on board- and I knew I didn't have to worry about SM when we got you with lmni. Traditionally getting washed goats isn't the smartest of moves- but I've seen you play and I had absolutely no doubt you'd go positive which you did, albeit with some rng. I'm glad to have you locked down for next year- If you're still into 1v1.
RaJ.Shoot Apologies you didn't get to play up front, but I appreciated your help behind the scenes and you always helped carry our team spirit and maintained a positive mentality. Having a player who can play as a versatile sub is important to any team, and after Deg I knew in a worst case scenario I could always put you in.
Emperor2 It was so good seeing you again and while you have been busy for the most part, It's always comforting to have you on the team. I hope you're doing well and that things are fine with you! :)
Whaleeeee As the only other Asia Player to have been in every wc, it really sucked that you didn't get to play. I hope things are alright and that you're safe, Here's to hopefully playing with you next year our one true co-Capt'n 07
PartMan not only did you anchor down the monopoke slot, you also helped the squad in building teams at a time when supply was scarce, glad to have had you on board!
Raj 00 and Mr. Mime fan (I think this is you)- Similar to partman, even though you guys weren't in our squad on paper, it really didnt seem like it in chat.I really appreciate you taking time out to try and help us build and test teams!
dom - I know 3 seperate times where your teams helped in our series to win, and at a time where deg wasn't able to support old gens as much i really do appreciate the help you put in
Joker 1v1 I'll try to use wigglytuff next time, hope things get better on your end too. Take care of yourself fam! pazza you seem to be literally everywhere wtf lol. but it was really fun having you in our team chat from the get go, always helpful.
dogknees Aside from teaching you humility and your place in the world in lichess, I really enjoyed your company in our team chat as well! Always a pleasant person to talk to and be around, I hope only the best to you for the things to come!
Bopher While there were a few bad matchups, having some teams is better than none, and having you help us out in playoffs was quite comforting and your help was appreciated!
Waylaid Speaking from my personal experience, you've always been helpful and positive in chat, and this time wasn't much different. Appreciated the support :)
I'm sure there might still be people missing, apologies if so :(
This is not over. Asia will be back next year.
As for now, Best of luck to both teams in the finals!
i stalled till 1000th post unlike lazy blaze who was sleeping in the mountains
DEG - i rmbr when I finessed myself into asia while being batshit at 2v2 and the only thing thats changed is the tier I played and that u got worse LOL. thanks for fun 3 years in a row we wouldn't have gotten anywhere near the amount of success this year w/o your leadership Baleblaze - also 3rd year in a row with u. idk how u always perform in clutch situations and always are sick at the start of every tour xd that just might be the tradeoff for being the goat Whaleeeee goat. hope life treats you better man Kentarilmni 1v1 both of you came in last second after a long ass hiatus and played like you never left, true goats. philisteen supposedly new to 1v1 but plays like a fucking god ?_? hope I see you next year man stay well Euphonos ur a fuckin machine dude, picked up the entire dpp 1v1 tier in a month and had the best record in the tour. hope all goes well irl man dont be too harsh on yourself frostyicelad gradually improving ever since you played your first games last wc just gotta focus more when playing and build slightly better teams. dont let the sheet record discourage you King Leo V we shouldn't have made your first 1v1 team tour series a semi finals decider. ur a good player and with more metagame knowledge you'll have a good record next year RaJ.Shoot still undefeated in 1v1wc missed chance to unleash you xd Emperor2 legend. Dj Breloominati♬ shame on you for not signing up (sign up next year :3) PartMan lunatic Mr. Mime fan thanks for helping our ss for the majority of the tour

next year we'll be back stronger than the last edition and bring it home. demigod out
This World Cup was my first full team tour and was quite the experience. I got to meet some new people, get to know acquaintances better, and hang out with people I already knew. I learned a lot about you all and myself and am glad to have been a part of this team. Now for my 100th post on this site I would like to shout out a few people who helped me this WC.
C?O Nalei -Thank you so much for believing in me. You were my captain for the brief period I was on tox with you and were my captain again for this and you have taught me so much along the way. You are both an incredible 1v1er with your great performance this WC, and also a great human which is much more important. You have been nothing but kind and I wanted to thank you for that.
zioziotrip -I know had a rough run this WC but that was more because of your god awful pool luck so don't worry to much about it. For it being your first time captaining in a 1v1 tour you did a fantastic job. From helping keep the discord active, to keeping our players up to date, to being the slotting god (thanks for helping me dodge blurb even if I lost anyways :c). You are one of my best friends in this community and I wish you the best of luck in the future. Free Stable+zio for PLV!
LittleRunnerXC -I know you've mentioned this win doesn't feel right to you, but if it wasn't for you I doubt central would have even made it out of pools, let alone have won the whole tour. In the short time you were with us you proved to be everything we hoped you would be able helped prep almost the entire team. Like I said I know you aren't entirely happy with it but irl comes first so I can't blame you. Good luck with your future plans and I hope you can have a happy ending to your movie <3
Squirtell 1v1 -The goat! You had a rough start but managed to turn it around really nicely and helped clutch some huge wins for us in the end. Although you aren't the most talkative person, you were a great teammate and I always enjoy stealing your sets or cores for teams. It was great to be on your team this WC and I hope we can be on a team again in the future.
UBERLandon21 -I'm so glad I got to meet you this WC. Unfortunately, a zoomer like me didn't get to see you back in the day, but it was great to see you come back and do well this WC. Thanks for playing with us and I hope I get to know you better in the future.
Lkjc -I know this WC didn't go how you wanted. Keep your head up man because I'm sure you will bounce back soon.
ryyjyywyy -I'm glad I got to work with you this WC. You played amazing and should have been 5-1 if you hadn't gotten haxed >:c. I loved watching you play and seeing all the crazy shit you ran really made me enjoy oras more than I already did.
Sanshokuinsumireko -For your first major team tour you did incredible. I wish I knew enough about bw to help you prep but you had it on lockdown the entire tour. Great job this wc and keep up the good work.
alive -You were a big help to the team. You provided support when building as well as coming in clutch when lrxc got busy so thank you for that.
avarice -TOX! It was nice to be on your team again even and I wish you got to play even tho sansho did great :c. Thanks for being on the team and being a great presence.
Ferno -Thanks for being with us on the team and good luck with your future.
Others stableprince569 -omg I love you so much. You have been one of my favorite people in this community from the moment I met you and never disappoint me. From giving advice on building, to playing, to other random mons shit I would like to thank you for all the support you've given along the way <3
Jirachirelia -Jirachirelioat! You were one of our biggest supporters throughout this tour and it was great having you. I wish you were a sub this time around, but hopefully you get your chance in the future c:
Itchyfoot -omg huge fan !dt rotom fan! Thanks for helping us out this WC and building some things with me even if I didn't get to use them. Like Jirachirelia you were one of our biggest supporters this WC and I hope you can improve and get a shot in the future!
pqs -hiya pqutie ess <3. Thanks for believing in me from the start and always cheering me on.
The Cone Goons (Potatochan , Bopher, dogknees) -Thanks for helping out in ploffs. It was great to have you guys and y'all helped a lot even if you don't feel like you did. Free Centranada ;w;
That's it for now. I just wanted to thank everyone for supporting me along the way. Wish I could have written a bit more, but it's late and I'm already half asleep so sorry if your shout out wasn't as extravagant as you wanted. I can't believe I managed to win a trophy on a pokemon sim but hey, it was a blast and hopefully I can win another some day who knows lmao. Thanks again and go c?o!
Hello, guys! I'm extremely sorry as this has gone way too far past its conclusion, but allow me to share to you the journey I've gotten into from getting immersed to SS 1v1 by virtue of LittleRunnerXC's YouTube videos to being given a "suicide mission" by DEG by letting me learn DPP 1v1 which started in one of the grandest team tournaments in this community. It's been a wild ride being part of this 1v1 Community, and I thank you all for the support. So here it is, my video that took me over four days to conceptualize, to edit, to review, and to upload it:
In the video, I've already given shoutouts to DEG, dom (E♯), LittleRunnerXC, and Dj Breloominati, for these people helped and molded me into the DPP 1v1 player that I am today. I apologize to the community for making the hardest decision not to join the DPP 1v1 Cup which you guys really wanted me to do, but this is for the better of my emotional and mental well-being after participating in eight tours (four individual, four team including WC1v1) in a span of six months. Despite that, those shoutouts I've done in the video is actually a portion of the whole shoutout post here, because the people I've met in the 1v1 Community has welcomed me with open arms.
TEAM NYAAAAAAAAAAASIA
DEG and Baleblaze - Huge thanks to you guys for welcoming me to Team Asia, especially with DEG baptizing me with fire by letting me learn DPP 1v1. To be honest, dealing with DPP 1v1 all alone makes me want to give up, but thanks to you and to all of the supporters in the team and outside, it seems like I'm developing this love-hate relationship with that metagame.
Haha!
lmni 1v1 - I will speak Tagalog to you here, because you deserve it. In most of the team tournaments I have joined lately, I am the only Filipino [representative in such tournaments]; probably Filipinos don't care about other metagames such as 1v1 -- let alone this game [in itself]. I thought I'd be the only Filipino again to represent this [tournament]; good thing I'm not alone because you're there. [With that, it's a] great honor interacting with you. Hope you go back next [season]; probably we will get them this time. Haha!
philisteen, frostyicelad, RaJ.Shoot, Kaif, Kentari, King Leo V - I've seen all your efforts in making sure we secure those crucial wins to playoffs, and I love the determination and desire to at least reach to the Finals despite not happening this season. I hope to see you all next season, and by the grace of whoever higher power is, we can get a victory next time!
Whaleeeee, Raj 00, Emperor2 - How I wish you could witness those surreal wins I have in DPP 1v1 as a rookie and celebrate them with you. I hope whatever you're going through in life serves you better. Hoping to meet you (well, not in person) in Discord one time!
Dj Breloominati♬ - Of course I should save you for last, because you're the greatest contributor that molded me into the DPP 1v1 player (or say, enthusiast?) that I am today. You are truly an unsung hero for me and for this team; without your support, I would've gone 0-3 in that metagame as how would CashKP and Elo Bandit would've predicted; thank you for understanding my struggles as to how I learned DPP 1v1 alone. Since you have more waves of exams coming up next year that might hamper your capabilities preparing for this tournament next year, I promise to hold this DPP 1v1 slot in dedication to you. (I might still need your madman team building powers, though! HAHAHA)
Mr. Mime fan - While LittleRunnerXC will not remain the superfan that he was once before (as his priorities changed over time), the way you cheered me on to my DPP 1v1 journey reminded me of him when I first met him half a decade ago. I felt like you celebrated my wins as if you had the best win in your life, and it's something that I truly appreciate; to be honest, just because of your unusual name, I felt a little uncomfortable with it to a point of flattery, but the genuineness in such moral support is something that I am longing for from someone in the virtual world. With that, I truly appreciate your gesture.
PartMan - another cheerleader worth giving a shoutout for (that I actually forgot; my bad)! Thank you for bringing me a bit of a confidence boost by winning your Monopoke match against pazza that happened before my match against Inkreativ. It's a pleasure being with Team Asia, and I hope you'll be given the chance to play next year!
OTHERS FROM THE 1v1 COMMUNITY
Akumajou - You deserve a spot on this list because you truly are one of the most chill guys in the community. Thank you for sharing a portion of our lives and sharing our virtual laughs together, even in this pandemic-filled world. Thank you for keeping me company whenever I felt extremely sentimental in those past few weeks, and I felt that it's more than enough for me to feel so much better than I was before.
ThatCabbageGuy - You, good sir, had me in one of the fieriest battles I've ever had in the pools round of World Cup of 1v1. It's as if I felt like people view me as someone as dangerous as anyone else in the pool thanks to those five matches we had -- not to mention that I'm a newcomer to this metagame! But man, thank you for adding another layer of support for my preparations in the Semifinals against Inkreativ; it's kind of sad that I didn't manage to use that one team featuring that one Pokemon you suggested since I triumphed against him in three games that time...
Inkreativ - It was a humbling experience battling with you twice. You being that proficient in DPP 1v1 at a young age of 15 is no easy feat, man; I couldn't even fathom what I've actually done when I was your age. I still view you as one of the most dangerous players in the DPP 1v1 pool; just keep on honing your craft. Viel Dank!
zioziotrip - Congratulations on your World Cup win! I'm kind of jealous when you guys won; because I at least wanted an Asia-US Central Final. But still, a well-deserved win on your part!
smely socks - I remember you being one of the first people I met at an attempt to immerse myself in 1v1 (thanks LRXC!). You were actually one of the major contributors into immersing into the SS 1v1 metagame; I could've helped my teammates with my team building prowess mostly coming from your influence if it weren't for me focusing way too much on DPP 1v1; it's a struggle, and it's wild, I know. Huge thanks to you for bringing me to the realm of SS 1v1, and congratulations on your recent promotion as Room Driver!
dogknees, Bopher, stableprince569, et al - You guys look so definitely chill; I wanted to talk to you guys again some more. I may have forgotten other people around here, but if I know you guys well, you really deserve to be part of this shoutout because you celebrated my wins with me, surreal as it is.
LittleRunnerXC - You know what, if Asia were to advance to Finals instead of Eastern Europe, I'd actually have to petition to get into DPP 1v1 with me, not because I see how proficient you are, not because of how your creativity is way out there for me not to keep up, it's more of because the ultimate culmination of our virtual friendship could have been commenced in one of the grandest stages of the 1v1 Community. It may sound way too cheesy if I say this, but because of the creativity you have exuded in the community, I feel like you're the Euphonos of 1v1, given you are so supportive of me in the crazy things I've made since ORAS UU years. I know you're having new set of real-life priorities at this point, but I can still view you as one of those people whom I cherish the most. That's how amazing you are as a person.
LRXC: "Get Digg- I don't care, I don't care anymore; you're getting Diggersby."
LRXC: "This is uhhhhh"
*Me, as david klang, chose Hawlucha*
LRXC: "Oh my gosh; I hate everything."
*Me letting Hawlucha to use Endure while LRXC letting Diggersby to use Giga Impact*
LRXC: "Ok, ok. You know what, you know what, you know what, you know what, you know what?"
Alright; just so you all know, I may not be playing DPP 1v1 Cup for the better of my emotional and mental well-being, but I'll be giving some form of support to some key people, whether it's through test battles, building galore, or whatever it may be. That doesn't mean I'll be taking a break from Pokemon entirely; it's just that I have to take a break from participating in tournaments because of how emotionally and mentally taxing it would be. Thank you all for your overwhelming support; I will be back in the next iteration of 1v1PL!
