Honestly, it doesn't make sense to me why we would drop SM assuming bo3o5 starts in SS. However, if bo3o5 shifts to SM-BW I am 100% on board w/ dropping SM 2 in favor of SS 3. I am fine either but on the idea of developing SS I think it would be developed most in bo3o5. While this may initially seem really stupid, hear me out (smajet moment). Bo3o5 is bound to be the most competitive slot in WCup because when you have different gens in one series you basically have to put your best/most experienced player there, hence the unofficial naming of "goat slot." I think SS has a fair chance to see the most development in the most competitive slot, since the slot is inherently more competitive than the others you will have people trying to bring the best. Especially w/ the very new meta DLC will be techs that become metagame staples are bound to pop up. The one thing you could say against that is that the priority will not be on SS and instead shifted to another gen, that's fair and there is truly no way of knowing which way it will go.

TL;DR-Current slotting and stable's suggested slotting both make sense but if SS development is what we value then current slotting makes more sense (probably.)
PS-If 3 SS is chosen, please nuke bo7. Building for both bo7 and bo3o5 sounds ashine, building for bo7 is already enough of a pain if you have to split it between both there are going to be issues and overall is sounds very unenjoyable.
 
Like the majority of my team ,i dont like the bo5o3 idea at all it seems like it was supported by kids who have nothing better to do than play a shit ton of games and it sounded epic to them. Just the possibility of playing 45 games in pools alone aka 3x as much as any other slot is fucking wild , it doesnt encourage a better and more competitive tournament as no one can build that much. It just encourages team recycling and lowers the support for other slots which was an issue for a good amount of teams last year. Its very likely too late for this but a) i was busy b) didnt think this idea will actually pass but anything can happen with a good number of supporters ig.
 
i agree with ggopw, i feel like 15 games in one set is a bit much, bo3o3 or bo1o5 would be much better though, especially the latter because that would 1. feature a lot of old gens while still being as long as the other sets, and 2. it would be fun to watch

if you want to address a person, do it directly, but don't try to treat me with absurd diminutives that fully characterize you with your nonsense here. this idea was a proposal, an idea that could make competitive formats evolve, not deteriorate them as you pretend to admit. my idea has not been innovated by myself, yes i agree with that, but competitive slots should look a lot like this later

I agree with nolenot. Bo3o5 is way too many games to build for. Instead of evolving formats it actually does the opposite, because players are encouraged to reuse old teams as they won’t be able to build 15. This keeps the meta stale as everyone uses the same shit while we could be using this slot for maybe an extra SS to develop that meta after DLC drops. I don’t know why this was even considered in the first place :I

i didnt think once of you when making my post so stop thinking ur in the center of the world. im just criticizing a brand new slot that we or any other tier had before added without much discussion. i honestly dont see how that slot makes 1v1 evolve or anything that u state thats pretty dumb-thinking on anyones part

regardless after that post im eagerly waiting for another 1v1 tournament where a lancer copypasta gives birth , best of luck bro n_n
 
Bo3o5 should be for championship because it fits the smog tour format as it suits more of an individual tour, and wcup isn't suppose to be anything like smog tour. Only way this slot should get in is if it's reduced to Bo3o3 and even that's a stretch as ggopw already stated people will just recycle teams. Sorry to be boring but it should be replaced with another SS5 or SS7 as it logically just makes the most sense and if a third SS5 is added, people can stop complaining about having a bad SS core since any competent player can win bo5 in rps

If you support Bo3o5 I would love to hear why.

I joined the tour under the account Purpleleinad bc that was the account I used at the time, but I now use the account Itchyfoot almost exclusively on PS!. Should I play the tour under the older account I don't use much, or this newer one that I use more often now?
