Hello, Due to my team being banned last year due to its incompetitiveness, I am looking for a team worthy of my skills.

Last year I was one of the best records in my pool, defeating players like Luisin who is popular in the randbats community and soulwind who is a player known for his extensive skill, The tier I would like to play is DPP randbats but I can play any fairy gen easily, the same as last year when I played SS randbats. :swole:

All eyes are on the players for this year's World Cup - but what about the Pokemon? They deserve some recognition too, and that's why I'm tracking each species's wins and losses across all World Cup matches to determine the year's MVP (Most Valuable Pokemon). Click here to see the spreadsheet (updated whenever I can), ranking each Pokemon by their total wins, with percentage as the tiebreaker.

Some early takeaways: Pokemon sharing a name with Midwest team members are off to a fantastic start, with 6-win Wigglytuff leading the way. 5-1 Snorlax is tied for third, and second-place Starmie (5-0) even kinda works if you think about it. The tournament's worst record (0-6) belongs to Rayquaza - just like we all expected? Stay tuned for the rest of the event, or until I get tired of it, who knows!

But seriously, I love doing dumb projects like this. Go Midwest!

As long as cloddy my child stays undefeated I won't excommunicate you (lol)

Update on the Most Valuable Pokemon standings! After the qualifying round, we have replays for 200 matches and 5800 Pokemon appearances. Here are some notable results:

Most wins:
Tauros (20 wins, 17 losses)

Tauros has by far the most appearances overall, since it’s playable in every format and has four forms in Gen 9. To give the rest of the roster a chance without requiring a huge number of games, I’m introducing a new method that calculates how unlikely you’d be to get a similarly good record through pure luck. For example, a score of 95 means you’d see more impressive records only 5% of the time when flipping coins.

Highest scores:
Exeggutor (19-5, score 99.80)
Vigoroth and Krookodile (7-0 each, score 99.61)
Regigigas (13-3, score 99.36)
Gengar (19-7, score 99.04)

Lowest scores:
Pyroar (1-9, score 0.59)
Oricorio (3-13, score 0.64)
Chandelure (0-6, score 0.78)

Pokemon who still have not appeared:
Nidorina (Gen 1 exclusive)
Nosepass (Gen 3 exclusive)
Furfrou (Gen 6/7 only)
Shiinotic, Golisopod, Buzzwole, and Naganadel (Gen 7/8 only)
Thievul, Dubwool, Grapploct, Cursola, and Mr. Rime (Gen 8 exclusive)

That’s it for now! We’ve got 540 matches coming up in the main event (yikes), so it’ll be interesting to see how it turns out.

After too many hours, I finally completed the very unserious, very subjective and incredibly biased tierlist of the nicknames of those who have competed in the regular season of wcor 2024! Be merciless and trash my opinions, I'll be ready for the pitchforks :p

Note: I realized yesterday that I forgot Piapia which is probably going to be either low C or high D tier. Maybe the latter, idk (yes, I am often very indecisive)
