Worst Pokemon Sprites?

I think it's just an exaggeration of hows sloths arms look. The claws make the arms look more curvy than they actually are i think, sorta like slakoth's arm. Plus, its pokemon, no rules about looking realistic haha
Can someone please explain me how Slakoth's arm works? Is it just boneless or .... ???
I just cannot see how it is able to do that.
I can do that... just not quite as bendy. We'll just file it with Primeape in the "How do arms/wrists/everything work" category.
I'm too lazy to check if this was posted before but Golem looks like a worn-out football that grew limbs, even the "poor-guy-that-got-buried-in-pebbles" backsprites can't match this one in terrms of stupididty, at least it had some decent front sprites past gens (like... three of them?).
To be fair, Golem has one of the worst designs in Generation I. It isn't hard for the sprites or models to look bad.

Golem's design isn't that bad, imo, but "rock ball turtle" is a pretty big departure from the "rock with a face and also limbs" design of Geodude and Graveler.
And it loses two of its arms that it had as a Graveler, which I've always found odd.
Honestly, I only ever liked Geodude of the three. It's the quintessential Rock-type.
I beg to differ. I've brought it up before in this thread, but I'll say it again: Golem was clearly designed to look good in 2D, where it can be portrayed from any angle the artist prefers. Another trick of its design is that the artist can move the position of its limbs and head slightly, so that Golem will look badass in the relevant pose (see this page for examples). It was never intended to be rotated or seen from any other angles than the artist's perspective, thus you couldn't really see how dumb it looked when not "tailored" to the picture in question.
However, as a 3D model, the limbs are fixed in place and Golem can be seen from any angle, and it's revealed how poor the design really is. No matter how you look at it, from most angles Golem is a featureless ball, with all its limbs lumped in one quadrant and the rest sticking out awkwardly. It's really off-balance, looking like it should topple over at any moment. It's clear that its arms have a too short reach to be of any use. For instance, it can't reach the ground to pick up stuff while standing, nor can it put food in its mouth. In earlier generations, the artist could always shift its limbs around (or scale them up/down) to overcome these limitations, but in 3D that won't cut it at all.
That being said, though, the Gen VI model of Golem does look a lot worse than many of its sprites. Here are the BW2 sprites, for instance:
Note the irregular ruggedness of the body, and how the arms and legs protrude from crevices in the shell. It looks more like a pile of loosely packed rocks, which arguably justifies its seemingly moving limbs (note how the right arm is much closer to the leg in the back sprite than the front sprite). Now, the Gen VI model:
Clearly just a smooth ball with limbs and a head awkwardly attached. The seams are glaring. And this is the "intended viewing angle". As shown above, it looks even worse from behind.

Incidentally, the last time I wrote one such post, it was also in response to OneManFreakShow making a Golem post, back on Page 20.
If we're going to talk about bad 3D models, can we discuss Typhlosion? It's a complete badass in 2D, but the gen 6 "idle" sprite without the flaming back is just really lame.
