Your Favorite Underrated Pokes.

Basically, this is a thread for your favorite underrated pokes and the set's you use. Yadda, yadda, yadda.

RULES

1) DON'T BASH ANYONES SETS.

...that is all.

My Nominee:
dpffa478.png

Froslass.

Seriously underrated, this thing makes a brilliant lead with :

[SET]
name: Destiny Bonder
move 1: Destiny Bond
move 2: Ice Beam
move 3: Shadow Ball
move 4: Taunt
item: Focus Sash

nature: Timid
evs: 6 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SpAtk

The whole game plan here is to stab away with Ice Beam and Shadow Ball until you're low enough on health to quickly destiny bond for the OHKO. Taunt can stop anything you think may stop you.

Right guys, your turn.

Magmortar@ Wiseglasses or power herb
Modest 252 speed 252 Sp.attack

Taunt or Solarbeam
Flamethrower
Thunderbolt
Focus Blast

Taunt or solarbeam is for either ninjask or swampert whatever you wanna cover.Beats gyarados metagross weavile bronzong and abamosnow leads ans some others too.Not the best lead but I like him since he's one of my favorite pokes. You have to gtfo if you see a salamence lead though.

Typhlosion

Name: Subber
Move 1: Subsitute
Move 2: Overheat
Move 3: Focus Blast
Move 4: Hidden Power Ice

Nature: Timid
Evs: 6 HP/ 252 SpAtk./252 Spd.

Sub down until Blaze/berry activates or sub is up at end of turn. Proceed to sweep.

Clefable! I don't have a certain set; just check the analysis. It has nine movesets and still an 'Other Options' part. Magic Guard stops all non-direct damage. He can pass Wishes, being bulky and uneffected by entry hazards. He can Thunder Wave and Encore on set-ups or a move inefftive on one of your Pogeys. He can also CM sweep, abuse Flame Orb+Facade without losing HP from Burn, and mix sweeping with a recoil-less Life Orb. Clefable FTW!

I've actually had some success with a support-trode

Electrode@magnet/focus sash
Timid, static
52 hp/0 att/252 def/0 spd/104 sp. att/100 sp. def
-Explosion
-Taunt
-Thunder Wave
-Thunder Bolt/Light screen

He's a high speed taunter/thunderwave+static
with explosion for last ditch effort and thunderbolt for stab.

Note: If you replace thunderbolt with light screen, you can put the 104 evs into attack and defense and change the nature to jolly.

Qwilfish =]

Call me insane, but it rocks. I use this set, for the most part (I'm also suicidal enough to use it in OU):

Qwilfish @ Focus Sash
Adamant (+Attack, -Sp. Atk.)
Swift Swim
6 HP/252 Attack/252 Speed
-Rain Dance
-Waterfall
-Counter
-Destiny Bond/Explosion

Works wonders. So long as his Sash isn't ruined by SR/Spikes (SS doesn't matter due to Rain Dance), he can usually take out one or two Poke's. It takes some good prediction, but devastates stuff. All of the following scenarios are assuming you are out, at 100% health, with no rain up yet.

If you sense a physical attack coming, Counter for a pretty much guaranteed KO.
If you sense a switch or set up or other harmless move of some kind, Rain Dance. From there, either Waterfall, Counter, or Explode accordingly. This guy's awesome.

Slaking with the standard set
-Return
-shadowclaw
-earthquake
and the unexpected -thunderpunch(just for GyaradosXD)

I use a shuckle as a starter with
-toxic
-stealth rock
-knock off
-rest
it its my rest absorber and takes any type of hits, the other time it took a milotic hit and i left him enough hp t take hits from other pokes, and he wreaks havoc with with this set

Lickilicky @ Leftovers
Oblivious, Adamant
-Counter
-Explosion
-Return
-Wish

EVs: 252 hp/124 atk/100 def/32 spd

Ever wanted to eliminate your opponent's best physical attacker and best wall with 2 moves? Now you can, with Lickilicky! Easily survive a Weavile Brick Break and Counter for an OHKO! When your opponent switches in a wall, be it Cresselia, Blissey, what have you, blow them to kingdom effin come with Explosion! New! From GameFreak!

Purugly does surprising well as a lead. Not many people expect it to out speed gangar and OHKO with Shadow Claw before it can use Hypnosis.

Umbreon:
Careful
252 sp.def/240 def/18 hp
wish
protect
payback
toxic

umbreon pwns if you know how to use him ;D it has gotten me out of tough situations

Butterfree
Jolly
@Focus Stash
U-Turn
Sleep Powder
Stun Spore
Rain Dance

Such a great lead, take a hit then sleep the lead, then paralyze the switch in. If you expect them to stay in, u-turn out to a stat upper and have fun. Rain Dance is to change the weather if a SS team shows up.

Articuno @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP/80 Def/176 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Heal Bell
- Roost
- Roar
- Protect/Ice Beam

Works really well on a Toxic Spikes team, when used with good Spin support. Supports the team with Heal Bell, and can Pressure Stall moves like Close Combat with Protect or attack with Ice Beam. I love this thing.

Dragon Dance Lapras is freaking awesome, 101+ Subs, and Blissey will have no idea what hit it when it becomes set-up fodder.

lol at Suicune being underated. ^_^

I'm going with Rotom...a brilliant Pokemon with nice stat distribution, disruptive movepool and excellent resistances.

Cradily... That thing is a BEAST under the sand, Deserves a lot of love <3
Cradily @ Leftovers
Relaxed Suction cups
252 hp 164 def 92 SpD
- Toxic
- Stone Edge
- Energy Ball
- Recover

Takes on basically any special sweeper ( Though specs porygon-z ice beams can be a problem, It resists tri attack toxic aways and continues to recover though ) Azelf can't do shit to this, Even with explosion it will only do about 50 - 60%, Specsmence draco meteor does about 30 - 40 % And it can attack back with stone edge or toxic. Waters who think they can wall it with ice beam ( usually does about 20% from most of them ) Get a taste of stab'd energy balls.
Wears them the hell down with toxic while recovering.. is immune to leech seed and cannot be roared/whirlwinded away so it continues to toxic everything in sight :D

I have to wholeheartedly agree with Lee on Rotom. 5 resistance + 3 immunities is amazing. Plus the fact that it statuses everything like a champ and tricks off items to pluck and neuter the opposing team.

I like Bibarel for being the toughest super fanger out there and the amazing abilities which would be completely broken on something else.

Shaymin is a cuddly little plushie. One of those plushies that goes incredibly insane when its battery is messed up. Seriously, Seed Flare is the most unfair move in pokemon. Luckily, I'm the one using it on my opponents most of the time, so yeah, they get to experience it. :]

Heh, also one not many people know that I like is Relicanth. I feel that thing had the highest overall improvement in DP. Honestly, it takes hits like bulletproof glass and hits back like a cannon. It's a glass cannon all right...a bulletproof glass cannon...

Actually, I <3 Relicanth aswell. If you lead with something like a Purugly, put your opponent to sleep, then U-Turn, you can get a free rock polish on Relicanth, making it faster than pretty much everything not called Ninjask. From there, feel free to Head Smash away without the fear of recoil damage.

:toast:

I'm gonna go with...

Crobat with wide lens. I don't see him ever but hypnosis/Air Slash/Dark Pulse/Roost is devastating. I find alot of teams have a weakness to this, it tears things apart. Nice switch in on fighting types, outspeeds gengar and gives it a nice dark pulse in the mouth. Awesome.
