Thank you! I was inspired by the Japanese proverb:
“Among blossoms, the cherry. Among men, the warrior.” I was thinking about how, like the camellia, the cherry blossom was often identified with samurai because it falls while it’s in bloom—in its youth. I also incorporated elements of Kabuki masks and traditional Japanese knots into the design. It was fun to design. I have a full page of sketches for it haha.
