Why are esthetic forms listed as different Pokemon in the teambuilder, and not in a dropdown menu such as Pokemon like Florges and Gastrodon?

Main ones would be Sinistea, Polteageist, Poltchageist, Sinistcha, Zarude, Maushold, Dudunsparce

Maushold and Dundunsparce have different weights between forms.

Hey guys! I'm just running my own server and I'm trying to get it registered but the form it's asking me a permission. Is the server registration closed? Is there any way I could get it registered? I'm having problems with the SSL in some browsers since it's not registered. Thanks for the advance!

Server registration is not open at this time.

when you use Life Orb with Sheer Force, is it meant to give you the recoil from Life Orb? i read on the Bulbapedia page that Sheer Force negates the recoil from it, however I still got the recoil when using the ability with it.
happened in Metronome Battle if that helps, not sure if its a showdown-wide thing or just in that format (or if its a bug, I wasn't sure so I asked here)

Sheer Force only negates the recoil from Life Orb if the move being used is itself affected by Sheer Force. Sheer Force is just weird like that.

If you want to ban something from a custom game you created, type a Minus sign(-) in front of your challenge command and then type the name of whatever you want to ban.
Thanks for your help, I already found a solution using this code: /challenge [user],gen3customgame@@@obtainable

I'm wondering if anyone can help me out with adding custom mons to a custom Showdown server. All the documentation I could find (here) is from 8 years ago and appears to be out of date.

I've added its information to all of the relevant places mentioned in the docs that are still transferable, but the information on the client portion of the customization is impossible to follow.

I have the most recent available versions of both the server and the client as of posting. Any suggestions?

How does the Notable and Usually Useless move separation system work? For example, Mystical Fire is seen as a notable move for every mon that has it exept Delphox and Armarogue, which are both the only Fire-types that can learn it, so do Notable and Usually Useless moves change with types or is it more in-depth? And is there any way to find a list of every move that could be mostly categorized as Notable, and mostly categorized as Usually Useless?

mystical fire counts as notable for those pokemon because they don't have any alternatives like flamethrower or armor cannon like how delphox and armarouge do
press on this link and you should see some of the code behind it (headbutt's good if the mon has serene grace, hex is bad if they have infernal parade, etc)

this might be a stupid question, but what are those badge things under people's name called for being top 100/10/3? I tried searching things like "Season" "Ladder Season" and "Badge" but I can't find the original thread that announced this feature

Hi, I'm not here to cause trouble I am just genuinely concerned. I'm new to this, but my questions are to the officials and leaders. I want to know if we can ban OR is there a ruleset that already exist where it limits the amount of switch outs a person can do? The toxic spamming of switch ins detours me from wanting to play. People either spam annoying stall where they stall you out of moves by constant switching in and out or they pp stall. In the anime there were limited amount of switch ins a person could do especially the challenger, is there a way that that could be a ruleset? I think it'd add to the strategic aspect of the games. I really like showdown but I'm having a hard time with these toxic ppl stallers, stallers, and these insurmountable people who constantly switch in. I really enjoy showdown because it helps me think outside the box sometimes, but I'm thinking of quitting all together. Alot of my IRL friends have quit playing because of this. I don't want to quit, but I feel like if stall is going to be a strat there needs to be counter play besides having a taunt Mon bc it only gets you so far. If you respond pls be kind bc I am new to this. I don't want to give up on showdown like my friends but I just feel like there needs to be more rules

typically, there haven't been restrictions like this in singles play, and from my perspective that's partially due to the fact that every strat tends to have a check or counter-strat. double-switching becomes a matter of prediction and skill after a while, which is what draws many to the singles competitive scene in general -- the chess-style strategy and execution.

there's no precedent to set a turn counter cap, and it would absolutely be abused to let fat/stall teams still win by swapping over and over til the turn cap when they have a lead.

if you're having issues with stall in a particular tier/format/generation, you should reach out to folks in the Smogon Metagame forums or the chatrooms on PS. also, taunt is a great move to have in general, don't know why you'd want to skip on it.

Hiiii I'm not trying to be cringe but I genuinely don't know how to work this and where's the best place to post and what not to post. But there was someone who was SUPPPPPPPPPER kind to me in a match on showdown and said hello to me. I couldn't respond bc I admit I raged and said some rude things to someone who stalled me. But their name was OUGP 0007. Whoever you are thank you for her kindness!!!!! That made my whole freaking day
