listen I've been reading through this and its honestly so frustrating when people try to argue tera isn't broken. Even if you guys wanna keep it in the metagame, its UNQUESTIONABLY broken. Lets say theres a kingambit threatening to sweep. I switch in fully healthy Zamazenta, a pretty hard answer, while it SDs on the switch. Its honestly insane how at the very least we don't have a no tera ladder at this point, when we are almost 2 years into this gen.

If you literally do not have any contingency plan or any counterplay whatsoever to this situation, here's what you do:
A. I-Def up and hope for Crunch defense drops;
B. Forfeit.

A. You're a terrible builder.
B. You're terrible at positioning
C. You've played really badly the rest of the game
D. Your luck and matchup is absolute dogwater

Tera Ghost Kingambit is a viable set that has seen considerable usage. If you cannot foresee Tera in any situation, then you need a lot more metagame knowledge. If you're having trouble remembering your opponents Tera, use the chrome extension 'Did it Tera?' or just hover over their mons with your mouse.

One thing I want to make clear: Kyurem was about as close to a borderline ban as possible. It was 58% the first time and 62% the second time. Let’s not pretend like we banned Flutter Mane or lost Bellibolt — this is nothing extreme and could even be evaluated down the line if the generation permits it timeline wise, but certainly not in the immediate future.

We need to stop being so divisive and hateful along the way in this process. This entire suspect was a bloodbath. You don’t need to disrespect to disagree; I promise.

We will be back next suspect — whenever that may be — with some updates in our standard operating procedure surrounding reqs and threads. Excited for that.

Would a revevaluation even matter? unbans require a 60% majority and keep kyurem was only 40% both times, + people will have unadapted to kyurem by the time any retest would happen which will make it seem more broken, unless the suspect is changed to 40% unban = kyurem is freed or council quick drops it i dont see it ever coming back even with a tera blast ban + volc unban, seems like a waste of time even as someone who wants kyurem back a ton.

I don’t know. I am just saying what is possible. We do not tier based on any agenda.

I just take it one step at a time and try to do what’s best + am transparent about everything I can be. There’s a good chance it’s futile.

With that said, one seemingly overlooked aspect of the Kyurem ban not mentioned here so far is that rain gets better now by the ban of a strong, water-resisting freeze dry spammer that would make the whole archetype walk on eggshells every time it hit the field. The playstyle should have a lot more breathing room in general by now, and while Ogerpon-wellspring remains a concerning issue for it, it's also a valuable asset FOR the playstyle at large. And....yeah, who knows if one day, people will reinvent the playstyle the same way Srn/lucky333 did for sun teams....

Especially if the talks of archaludon getting unbanned with electro shot remaining banned eventually amount to anything....

Yeah ngl I say we unban archaludon and electro shot lol it really was a case of the tier overreacting about a new threat imo
