I haven't started EV training yet (just hatched) but I just want to make sure that there are no repercussions to evolving it now, adding the last move, then EV training versus leveling a bit then evolving. IIRC it doesn't matter when you do it.

Correct. Evolution doesn't effect EV's at all.

It depends if you're running max speed or not. If you're using the standard choice specs set you'll probably run max speed and want a perfect speed IV. If you're using a mixed sweeper set that doesn't use max speed the EVs can be adjusted to hit the same speed stat.
 
Yeah, the mixed sweeper set was what I was trying to go for. I was wondering since both parents had a 30 in the Speed IV. Thanks a ton!

A month ago it listed different EV spreads for both the Choice Specs and Sub-Punch sets. They're constantly changing those around.

An event like Jirachi. Japanese Colosseum bonus discs gave out Celebi. There were also other events and giveaways of celebi like 10 ANIV etc. But, none of them involved an island/ticket where you can catch Celebi in the wild like Deoxys/Mew/Ho-oh/Lugia.

Celebi can't be caught in any game. It has been given away in events like 10ANIV for US, Europe and Japan.
It is also available through the japanese Colosseum Bonus Disk, the american colosseum bonus disk has jirachi instead.
 
I'm not sure about Mantyke (why would you want one when it's catchable?) but for Azurill and Wynaut I remember the Marill and Wobbuffet had to hold the incense
 
how do most people clone their pokemon? using the GTS system or the AR cloning code? also, is cloning via GTS system even a viable option for a breeder?

without an AR, most people send their pokes to someone with an AR to clone, or with an AR use it to clone for themselves...GTS is too slow.
 
Can somebody tell me why Gengar sees far more usage then Alakazam? Alakazam has higher SpAtt and Speed with an almost similar movepool. The only notable differences is that Hypnosis is missing and has a less powerful FocusPunch, other than that i think Kazam should be better shouldn't it?
 
also: could you use ditto and shedinja in double battle to effectively make a copy of shedinja with 300 hp (WITH wonder guard)?

I think it's because kazam can get hit by common physical moves like EQ and focus punch, while Gengar is immune to them. (Alakazam has base 55 hp and 45 def, while gengar has 60 for both of them)
