This is a bit of a Shoddy question, but I thought it would be okay to ask here.
I haven't been on Shoddy in a while, and just now, I logged on, and accessed the team building so I could fix up an older team of mine.

When I opened up the team, I am greeted with this:

----------------
Horus (Zapdos)
This Pokemon has an invalid combination of IVs and nature. Please choose one of the following changes to make to it's IVs.

-Change the Hp IV from 31 to 27
-Change the Attack IV from 30 to 20
-Change the Defense IV from 30 to 18
-Change the Special Attack IV from 31 to 27
-Change the Special Defense IV from 31 to 30
--------------

First, could someone tell me why this is happening? My Zapdos runs Hp Ice (31/30/30/31/31/31, 70 power), if that has anything to do with it.

1. Illegal IV combinations, based on all probable Pokemon IDs.
2. Just lower Attack by 10. You don't need it, right?

So, you're saying that certain IV combinations can be illegal? Does this have something to do with the Advance games? Is there somewhere where I can find out more?

Ironically, I do "need" the attack, my Zapdos runs U-turn. But lowering the At to 20 would also mess with the Hidden Power (it wouldn't be Hp Ice). Whatever. I'll just go mess around on Metalkid's HP calculator for a while. 27 Hp works with it.

Yep not all IV combinations are possible to get for legendaries, there is not such restriction for all other pokemon. There was a thread like a month ago where this whole matter was discussed, Shoddy is trying to be as accurate to the games as it can so the programmers decided this was worthy to be included in the simulator. It is uncompletely/badly implemented tough because in your case zapdos can be captured in Pokemon XD but they haven't been able to determine which IV combinations are possible in the gamecube games.
These were the 2 threads about valid hidden power combinations:

No prob, kamikaen.

Primeape (Lv.34)
Cross Chop, Helping Hand, Focus Energy, Reversal

Hypno (Lv.34)
Psychic, Baton Pass, Meditate, Shadow Ball

Which of these should I SR for in XD? They are all Shadow Pokemon of Gorigan, and thus trying to SR for the best one leaves the other to chance. Thus, which is most desirable to the aspiring trader? (I presume Hypno, but wanted to ask.)

Hypno is more desirable. Baton Pass really has its uses on Hypno, and I haven't seen one yet (on smogon).

Then a follow-up:
M Calm #97 Hypno: 25 - 27 / 4 - 6 / 0 - 1 / 28 - 30 / 29 - 31 / 0 - 1
Now, I know Hypno's a physical attacker, so that's bad, but this is a heckuva Special Wall for passing... Could it work as a Sp.Atk.er? Keep?

What? Baton Pass is for the Nasty Plot+ Baton passing set (calm nature wanted) and his Attacking moves are special....What do you mean by Physical Attacker?

I have no idea. x_x I thought it had a higher physical stat... Because yeah, that was my first try at him (no resets yet) and I still have it up and unsaved.

ok, im breeding a Skarmory, and all of a sudden, (while carrying aroud Magcargo) the eggs start hatching at 3220 steps rather than the normal 3570. roughly 10% less. thing is, this happened to me once before, when i was breeding Happiny a couple months back. ive tried putting in the same 'time conditions' aka calender date, but i couldnt get the hatching time to go back down. these short gaps (about a day) where hatching takes approx. 10% fewer steps is baffling me. what gives?

reposting this, ofcourse i know that Flame Body is working, its why im getting about an extra 10% less steps i dont understand
