Ask on the thread "Ask a simple question, get a simple Answer". He is supposedly BL because of slow start. He is basically a glorified Slaking. He was never uber.

He is not an uber thanks to slow start... and right now too powerful for UU....

Since he is not used a lot he goes to BL.

If you want him in OU then convince tons of people to use him.

The thing is, it has a whole lot of base attack, but can't put it to use until it's been in for 5 turns. If it's Roared/Whirlwinded out, it has to start the count over again. At turn 1, with Adamant nature, max attack, and Choice Band, its attack maxes out at 345. That's even lower than its special attack (with Choice Specs, max special attack, and Modest nature, it maxes out at 426). Before the 5th turn, Regigigas has roughly 55 base attack, and 25 base speed.

You see unlike Slaking, Regigigas sucks. It has to stay in for 5 turns with no Protect or Rest to have a shot at hurting something, and that lack of ANY recovery makes his defensive abilities go to shit.

He was never Uber. You should probably disown whomever told you this.

it also can't do much defensively to try to stall for those five turns due to a bleh defensive movepool.

I used a Sub/T-Wave/Swagger/Return 'Gigas once.
He did survive for 5 turns more than once, but always got screwed up by Ghost types. ):

Shame he doesn't get Protect...though if the rumors of Regigigas having Levitate as his ability in the 3rd DP game are true, expect him to be bumped back up to OU, or even possibly Uber. Honestly, Slow Start is the only thing holding this giant back from being used more.

If you can set up 5 free turns for Regigigas, chances are you could do it for something that is guaranteed to sweep, like Lucario, so he's pretty worthless now. With Levitate, he'll be uber.

Medicham doesn't just have worse defenses, he has non-existent defenses. Regigigas can tank pretty hard.

Sure Medicham has less HP/Def/Sp. Def, but he still receives STAB on 2 nice types, and has the same Base Speed as Regigas.

Regigigas's base speed is 100 and Medicham's is 80.

Mostly because of Slow Start, probably the worst ability ever.


Also you spell the Pokemon's name wrong, its Regigigas not Regigas.
