Faze I think you are jealous of the fact that most of are scratches receive more praise than your mew-morphs. Its not like your mewdex was the star of the show, and you feel that the limelight has been "stolen" by scratch sprites....
When my duskulls didnt get any praise or mention I didnt just go" Iam leaving coz you dont praise my work"...

All this was said in a friendly advising tone :)

hi CS
Well here is my outile for Kingtail, evo of Syntail, along with my original drawing. I spent more time on this than any of my previous scratches. I think a Dragon sub-type would be best for a pokemon so majestic.

Minor details like belly lines and fin ridges wil be added while colouring

Kira is obviously correct in his prediction. I find it funny, though. DD had his fair share of playing the spriting god throughout the other 255+ pages of this thread, but when it goes into a scratching phase, he leaves. It appears that he never anticipated having to use the amount of skill it takes to make a good scratch. I don't know what got into Faze. No one prevented him from posting splices. It wasn't even discouraged. Nevertheless, let's take a bit of a break from scratches so spriters who aren't fortunate enough to possess scratching as their forte won't feel too intimidated to post their work. We certainly don't want that.

Having talked to Faze before I am positive that he is not jealous. It is perfectly reasonable to stop posting in this thread where his work will get little notice for not being scratched.

To answer your question, Faze was infracted for insulting another member upon instigation. Care to tell me why you wanted to know so badly?

HeadPunch: Don't insult DiamondDust. To me it seems like you feel you have a sense of superiority over everyone simply because you can scratch decently. There is a reason this thread is dying down ever since you "took over." People dislike the scratches, they actually liked the splices.

Edit: Anyway I realized that I don't even like posting in this thread anymore. Hopefully those who dislike the current state of the thread will stop posting in here as well.

There's absolutely no need for any of this hate or accusations especially in a thread that's supposed to be about fun art. So, people are doing more original work, that's a good thing it shows that there's some people willing to try and up their art a bit and eventually may outgrow this thread altogether. People are still able to post whatever small sprite related art they want here but just because something's getting more attention because it's a more impressive piece of work technically doesn't mean that anybody who doing splices for fun or similar can honestly complain about it. It would be like posting your own thread of art and complaining that the other artists' threads of higher skill are getting more posts.

In short, if you're doing this for general quick fun and giggles then you shouldn't be bothered. If you doing this to be represented as building yourself to be an accomplished artist you should build your abilities to match that of your peers.

Hmm, I feel like doing coconut's request, in my own way of course.

I apologize to DD and any others that I may have offended by making that statement. I have no excuse other than that I let some emotions of frustration get in the way of clear thinking there. I couldn't help but notice that DD rarely complimented others while posting quality work at the same time. It kind of reminds me of myself. I never intended to "take over" this thread either, so to anyone who has that pretense, I ask that you forget it. That is not why I'm here.

The spirit of this thread worded perfectly. Thank you for that post Wyverii. It certainly woke me up to some extent.
Now I feel a little hesitant to post this, but:

Please don't feel hesitant. You're work is very refreshing. I really enjoy your palette choices and interesting designs. The only thing that bothers me at all is the lineart of its right leg, but that isn't really necessary to change, imho.

sorry >.<

Mewak is weird for the simple reason that its head is bigger than its body.
Hitmons are awesome!

I cant see Weezing.....

darthvader, you have taken over the role of DiamondDust( no offense DD)

lol, I always found cubone as depressing :/
and yeah, imageshack keeps screwing up my weezing <_< it makes it visible for 3 hours, and then not available for three hours, try again in a little bit :/
EDIT: meezing felt like coming out to play, if you want to see it, try now, and wait a while for it to load
