I didn't know smogonites cared about that. I have two ds's so that wasn't a problem from me. Why don't you just make an AR code to get the trainer card. Its not like getting the star makes a difference in the fight between pokemon.
 
Yes I care about the trainer card too..it's not too important but it's cool nonetheless. Besides it doesn't hurt to play underground games against you guys :P.
 
While we're talking about obtaining the game, anyone have a copy of Diamond they want to get rid of? Five or ten bucks? My copy was recently stolen and I'd like to replace it since that's the version I use to actually play the game, whereas my copy Pearl is used for storage/battling. PM me.

On topic, several people have already seen what the silhouettes are and I got a verbal description of them(from a friend at G4). Some of them may not be exactly what everyone is expecting, but the speculation is pretty much right.
 
I'm guessing the revealed Rotom forms are fake because they look awful, but in all likelihood, the silhouettes may very well be new forms of Rotom still.
 
They're fake because in the original scans, the different forms have different colors. Obviously indicating that the actual images will have colors close to or just like the ones they have in the current scan.

No. That was a pamphlet from Toys R US. The scans from CoroCoro have them all as being plain black:

So, it's quite possible that the colors were just added in the Toys R Us pamphlet for aesthetic reasons and that the forms may not follow that color scheme.
 
Could be new Castform forms, you never know. However high expectations are put towards Rotom. Just thought I would throw this out there. Also it's possible that you find them in different places. Such as the original was found in a TV, however one of them looks like a camera. So maybe you would find it there? Thoughts? Opinions?

You know the two that don't look like Rotoms might be flat out new Pokemon, that is if there's no battling compatibility with DP as some have speculated.
 
Haha I figured you'd want to keep it quiet until they officially announce it. I guess it's for the better anyway. I can wait a week. Between that and Platinum coverage we have plenty to look forward to.
 
Imagine where we'll be this time next month. All of Platinum's secrets will have been completely devoured. All that will be left to wonder about are the international release dates and what Game Freak's plans for Fall 2010 are.

Regarding the possibility of Castform forms, don't you think it'd be a little strange to advertise a "tool" for one of those? The only tool he should need is TM37! Castform's dynamic nature and the lack of "cloud butts" on the silhouettes strongly suggest that the little guy has been overlooked again. It's unfortunate, really.

On the seond part, no. The CoroCoro scan says they're not found through normal gameplay and are gotten by using items that will be distributed over Wi-Fi.

As for the first part, I'll just quote myself from a different forum on that (I was replying to someone who only thought one of them could be a Sandstorm form though, but the idea would pretty much be similar for other additional Castform forms):
The Rotom thing is probably right (things seem to be pointing that way), but it will be getting all five forms if it is it; the thing that's supposedly a Sandstorm form of Castform doesn't really look like it (it doesn't have the cloud under it). Also, the Pokemon will transform into these new forms through items released over Wifi and that really doesn't make sense if it was supposed to be a Sandstorm Castform, since Castform changes with the weather and not items. Finally, that would mean that Castform would have to learn a Rock special attack with 40 power, 100 accuracy, and 25 PP at level 10, to keep with the pattern (it currently learns Water Gun, Ember, and Power Snow at that level as STAB moves for its three transformations that fit those criteria exactly). However, there is no such move; that's most likely why Castform didn't have a Sandstorm form in the first place (it would break the pattern in the moves it learns).

you know how there are 5 silhouettes and there are 5 different stats (besides hp). their stats could sort of be like deoxys

sort of like this

hp:50
attk:230
def:50
sp attk:50
sp def:50
spd:50

course the spread could be more even
 
Sorta, you buy some tutor moves with battle points that you gain in the battle frontier. Those tutor moves are reusable but there are also other tutor moves that can only be used one but are free.
It's similar to the battle tower in D/P but there are different kinds of facilities including the battle tower.
