ok well since im having a hard time picking my team members im going to take a little break. still breeding everyday for a lotad and seadra and even pokemon i think belong or will do well in a raindance team, trickroom team, and goodstuff team. but so i dont get bored of constint breeding of pokemon im going to try the Uber Metagame. iv always wanted to try it and what better time than now. =D

ok well i know this isnt look at my pokemon thread but this is my Zapdos i got from my LG do you think it'll be good in showdown?

Zapdos - Mild
16-30-7-29-31-31

Edit: also can my Zapdos holding a ZapPlatetake out a Gyrados holding a wacan berry with its thunderolt?

wow, those IVs and nature are REALLY good.

thanks
i know that its good, but my concern is with the loss in power timid has over modest, or if timid is the prefered nature to outspeed certian things, although it already outspeeds everything on the list of counters battlebeast gave us without ev investment i think

also whats a good ev speread to use for it ?

thanks

i prefer timid than my mild

Even if the Gyarados has 252 HP 4 SpDef, your Zapdos will OHKO with Thunderbolt 100% of the time.

A Gyarados with 252 Sp Def 4 HP has a slim (~3%) chance of surviving one Thunderbolt.

Pretty much a neutral SpDef Wacan Gyarados needs near 252HP/252SpDef to guarantee surviving your Zapdos's ZapPlate (or Expert Belt) Thunderbolt 100% of the time.

I wonder what Gyarados would actually use that spread though, seems a bit over centralizing for my taste.

I don't really know what spread Double Battle Gyaras usually run, so I kinda just did whatever calculation.
EDIT: But I did do them for lvl 50, obviously.

thanks, im thinking about using my zapdos but im not sure if its nature or ivs are good enough
its timid 24-25/8-9/28-29/26-27/28-29/24-25
i dont know its hidden power yet because i havnt migrated it from my leaf green yet but those ivs are better than that timgro70 latios in the video imo
opinions ?

This hidden power would be useless anyway because 28-29 in special defense. It's not like Zapdos needs hidden power though.

what happened to those 7-9 VGS's we were supposed to have , as mentioned from pokebeach?

it wont be that many qualifyers, i am guessing 4 qualifyers at most.
1 per US time zone. my guesses would be LA,Denver,Chicago,New York.

If we have 4 qualifyers, and Top 8 from each get invites, we get 32 players from the USA.
with 32 from USA and 32 from Japan, that would give an even 64 players where the brackets would go as such:
Round 1-64 Players
Round 2-32 Players
Round 3-16 Players
Round 4-8 Players
Round 5-4 Players
Round 6-2 Players (Final Round)

so there is my thoughts of how many qualifyers we would get.

hey what do you guys think of a MixedApe

Infernape - ExpertBelt
Naive
Fakeout
Encore
Closecombat
Heatwave

i probably wouldnt go with encore, even though its a great move. id probably throw something like grass knot on it or thunder punch depending on your ev spread so it can do something to rain teams

im also considering breeding an infernape so let me know how your testing with that goes

I agree with the above, since that is most likely. IIRC 32 will be the number of Japanese that qill advance past the second round, which is the one that leads to San Diego(not 100% sure on that though). So it would make sense, four stops, top 8 get invites to San Diego. Although, it is a 'world' competition, but that might just end up being US and Japan anyways. :P

lol pokebeach. Nobody really knows anything about the US ones.

do you guys think this Metagross can do damage to other metagross's or even Abomasnow?

Metagross @ Shucca Berry
HP-Fire[70]
Brave
6/30/31/26/15/2
-MeteorMash
-BulletPunch
-HiddenPower_Fire[70]
-Explosion

see the 2 in speed is so then after the TR its faster than the opponents and it might be able to K.O. it after 2 hidden powers (Hopefully) and maybe a bullet punch since Metagoss isnt that great Sp.D. what do you guys think of this?

lol, Metagross does damage to EVERY Abomasnow. Metagross with HP Fire iirc does less damage than Earthquake do Metagross, so probably not. I would check though.
well this is because most Metagorss run shucca berry so the first earthquake would be pretty weak but not if i use hp-fire, right? either way im going to test it out just to make sure

I don't know about the HP fire Metagross, I can only say that there are few Shuca but many Occa Metagross. Shuca is usually used with Rain Dance team.
If it has other than Occa, it has to be EVed Sp.Def to endure Infernape's Fire Blast or something like that. If you run it with Rain Dance team, watch out for foe's Hydro Pump.
