No, it's IVs are not set. However, I'm not sure if it's just running away or if KOing it works too. Be careful.

There's another good question! Has anyone KO'd it? If I get no answer, I'll just run to be safe...

Actually, if it doesn't keep the damage and status that you give it, it should still work if you KO it... But I'm still asking...

I browsed around awhile and couldn't find this question, so here is my situation

i wanted to redo the EV's on one of my pokemon to put them somewhere else so i started to give him the berries to remove that EV, i know the EV had 176 points and that the berries remove 10 EV per berry, but after the 11th berry i got the message it won't have any effect, so i tried a different berry on a different stat without saving and after the 11th i got the same message.

so my question is can you only undo 110 points? does the 11th berry remove the remaining EVs? or what? plz help me lol

On Shoddy Battle, I tried connecting to the Smogon Server; however when I get to the log in stage it asks me to enter a CAPTCHA which I cannot see.

So I just ignore it and type nothing there and continue to log in by entering my User name and Password but nothing happens.

How do I login to the Smogon Server on Shoddy Battle?

That's correct. If you have over 100 EVs, the first berry will always bring you to 100 even. So 11 berries is all that's needed to reduce EVs to 0.

Does anyone know of a good resttalk palkia EV spread and moveset? I was kinda thinking I could use a bulk up/sleep talk/rest/dragon claw moveset, but I really have no idea for the EV spread. Could someone give me some advice?

questions regarding the anti hax ladder. shoddy chat isn't the best place to get questions answered, and I don't have PR access.

1. is the system being implemented this one? http://www.smogon.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1831985&postcount=75

2. what happens after the server determines someone won through "hax"? is his/her win reversed? or does the match not count at all? or is the change in ratings decreased?

3. what happens if I flinch you with my iron head jirachi exactly 60% of the time I use it? does the hax "meter" perfectly balance out?

anyone?

I have an R4 with Pokemon Platinum on it. How do I hack to get unlimited Master Balls and if I catch a legendary with those hacked Master Balls, is the Pokemon legit?

I have a question. What's a decent EV spread for a Special Rain Kingdra Lead in Doubles, and why?

I suppose it would need a little bit of speed, nice amount of HP/SDef and max SAtk, but I'm not sure of what a good spread would be. I want to be able to hit hard, and take Solarbeams and at LEAST 1 Draco Meteor (Likely Latios) and from likely pokemon to be using it.

New to 4th gen. seeking opinions

Hi guys, I was once an avid pokemon gamer on both the hand helds and netbattle, but as my free time decreased I stopped playing pokemon at the turn of the 4th gen. However, with the recent purchase of Pearl I hope to get back into the Pokemon community once more. I do have a few questions regarding 4th gen. vs. 3rd though. First is I heard w/ the split in attack types that walling and tanking have become much harder transitioning the metagame in 4th gen. to a very fast offensive minded game. I was kind of disappointed when I orginally heard this becuz I was a fan of stall teams and the strategy involved behind breaking the opponents defenses and setting up your sweeps in longer more drawn out battles. So is this true has are stall teams a thing of the past and is the overal game flow of 4th gen. all out attack pretty much? Secondly in your guys opinions do these fast pased games make for more enjoyable battles or not? Sorry for the long post I am looking forward to getting back into teh flow of Pokemon and was just curios on your guys opinions on these issues of game flow. Thanx every1.

Whole message

Despite the metagame is much more offensive after DPP, mainly due to the introduction of items like life orb, choice specs, choice scarf, stall is as viable as it was in RSE. Of course, there are several mixed attackers (infernape, salamence mainly) which are hard to handle, but stall is still perfectly viable. You may want to take a look at the RMT section to have an idea of how many stall teams there are around. Take a look at obi's stall team first.

simple question: If i breed a chatot egg on pearl and trade it to platinum ,as an egg, is the origanal trainar the person on plat since he hatched it or the person on pearl?

I know that this is probaby not allowed to be asked here but if thats the case just tell me and I apologize in advance.

When I put in the action replay code to check my IV's and they come up in the TM list what order is it in?

I always thought it was
HP/Attack/Def/SpAt/SpDef/Sp

but I also read its

HP/Att/Def/Sp/SpAt/SpDef

Which is accurate?

But the problem is that I don't really have any set teams. I just train boxfuls of Pokemon and use them conveniently. I think that a Special Attack is better overall but I need some expert advice from Smogon people.

Well, I just caught a Modest Giratina with average HP IV, irrevelant ATK IV, horrible DEF IV, average SP.ATK IV, good SP.DEF IV, and good SPE IV. Should I keep it?

Actually "average" means nothing and the same can be said of "good". Refine the IVs with an IV calculator and then try asking for advices in this thread.

does Magic Coat last for one turn or until a switch? I thought it was just one turn, but the message it gives is that "X created a barrier" (or similar) so it seems like it may last for more than one.
