It'll work on local wifi between two platinum versions, but won't work from Platinum to D/P or over distant wifi (even if it is with another Platinum).
If it is bred/caught in D/P/Pt, then yes, Guts will always change to Keen Eye/Limber/Intimidate and Steadfast into Iron Fist/Reckless/Technician.
That means they might allow it after every planned country gets Platinum! AWESOME!!! (Now to get my hands on them... >.>)

On Shoddy Battle, I tried connecting to the Smogon Server; however when I get to the log in stage it asks me to enter a CAPTCHA which I cannot see.
So I just ignore it and type nothing there and continue to log in by entering my User name and Password but nothing happens.

No. It's hard coded into the games themselves, not Nintendo's servers, to revert the Pokemon into their normal forms when connecting to Wi-Fi, so it will continue to be impossible to use them on it without hacking.

I believe you need to go to the battle frontier and battle Flin and Volkner. You may also need to complete the stark mountain part.

Unfortunately without an AR code it's impossible to go on WiFi/Union Room with them. The code that deactivates the formes lie in the game itself (meaning that it'd probably be impossible to fix and Ninty has never sent patches in DPPt online before). When you are asked to save the game, decline it and check your party.
well i did beat flint and volknor in the double battle and got the nat.dex but i still havent done the whole stark mountain thing. so let me do the stark mountain thing and ill get back to you to see if anything chages.
Yes, that's correct; the attack reduction from Burn will be ignored and they'll get the full Guts attack boost.
