Well sup I'm Yeti.

Since Seattle is like 20-30 minutes from my house if traffic is agreeable I figured I'd enter the tournament. Haven't been to Seattle Center in a while.

Not really sure how my team's gonna work out since the 50 cap messed up half their movesets lol but I think I have a pretty tough team. Hopefully they'll play out as well as I'm hoping.

I mainly frequent sppf under the same name so if anyone goes there you might recognize me.
I'll be the girl wearing a dark pink Juicy Couture tracksuit at the tourney tomorrow. The pants and the jacket.

EVing my sweeper turned out to be more fun than I thought it'd be. If I do well tomorrow I might have to get more into this whole competitive scene!

Anyone going to the regionals in San Francisico?

I'm building up my team-geez, Garchomp haters will not like thsi tourney-he's legal only because he evolves before level 50. *rolls eyes* see how many people abuses chompy becuase of that...though I am a bit annoyed at the fact that they would, out of all the regionals, have one less spot in the one at San Francisco....that really irks me.

Good luck to everyone participating in the Seattle tournament today, make sure you give us some warstories and pictures!!

Can't wait to see some of this :)

Does anyone have any idea when the Eruopean Tournaments will be officially announced? I know it's been added to the official site, but information on them is hard to come by.. I need to make sure I can book a hotel near by and get train tickets etc.

Oh yeah, you're coming from Manchester arent you... I'm relativly lucky, I live in Newbury which is about 40 minutes by train from London, all I really have to do is get up early on the day. TBH it would probably have been easier on everyone if they had just had more than one event for the Uk (and other european countrys by the sounds of it) or some way of allocating places prior to the event to ensure only the people who are going to be able to play can get it. And it'd make things even easier if they actually gave us the location for where we need to go, but Europe always seem to get gaming related things late... we'll probably get it the week before or something rubbish like that.

Still, it should prove to be a fun day, meeting Smogon and ONMers. :p

That is kind of sad though...wish there'd be more contries involved.

I'm just going to be carpooling with a friend of mine since third grade and one I knew since second (?). Hahaha, I'm surprised we're still all together somehow, but hey, it's Pokemon.

I am 1/4 done, but I might consider having those last two slots to switch around evey couple of rounds. Good luck to eveyone praticipating at the one in Seattle!

Why is TTar banned, and not Dragonite? Also, why ban Rotom?

This question has been answered many times in this thread, and if you don't want to read 60+ pages, use the search function. Tyranitar is banned because it evolves after level 50, which this tournament is played at (It evolves at 55). Dragonite also evolves past 50, but in November there was a giveaway at Toys R Us for level 50 Dragonites. Rotom is banned because its new formes are event-only (TPCi has a thing against event-only things in tournaments). Not everyone has Wi-Fi or can get to a Toys R Us...

It's 2:27 PM in Seattle (GDT -8, EDT -5). The junior registration ended 12:30 PM, so the tournament should be over, or the juniors should be finishing up their tournament (2 hours is too long for a single elimination tournament). I wonder who won in the seniors division, and just like ViperGTS, I hope to see some good results from ultimatedra, The Fish King, NightmaresAria, Diesel, Acorn, Feathers, and Yeti.

I am interested in what kinds of teams were present at Seattle and what the champion used. I hope somebody there had a video camera and recorded it; at worst, maybe they got the battle code if it was on Platinum. We'll have to wit and see I guess. :P

Unfortunately, in our haste and inexperience with Platinum, my opponent and I both forgot to save the video. The good news is someone taped it on the TVs it was playing on, so that should be on YouTube before the end of the weekend maybe? I don't know the guy, but he told me he'd put it up and tag it appropriately.

Getting to work on the warstory now, although I'm extremely tired, so it may take me a while.

Congrats Diesel! I hope I can watch the battle, maybe learn a few tips and tricks haha!

Hopefully we'll get some video of the match this weekend! Woo!

Edit: Also Diesel, another question, what was the drawing like? Did they stick to the random drawing or was it first come first serve?
