You still break the sleep clause. And I'm quite sure that on Shoddy yawn fails when you already put an opponent pokemon to sleep.

If the attack is 100% accurate but the opposing pokemon has raised their evasion then it says Pokemon X avoided the attack but otherwise it says the attack missed.

On Tentacruel? I'm not actually sure if it is anymore, they used to be mutually exclusive egg moves, but iirc there's a Knock Off tutor now.

Those two moves on the same moveset aren't inherently illegal.

What would be illegal is if both of those moves were egg moves that cannot possibly be inherited together. For example, let's say you want Pidgey to learn the moves; it gets rapid spin from Dragonite and knock off from Bidoof (this is a very hypothetical example). Since Bidoof and Dragonite can't both be the father, and Bidoof and Dragonite cannot breed with each other, there is no legal way for Pidgey to get both moves.

As far as rapid spin + knock off goes, I believe that it used to be an illegal egg move combination on Tentacruel but that Platinum somehow changed that. Wait for someone else to confirm

Tentacruel learns knock off through move tutor in Platinum, so knock off + rapid spin (egg move) are no longer illegal on the same set.

Focus Punch is good if you can predict, otherwise use CC for better overall use.

No use in running Stone Edge, as "Stone Edge is not needed, as Ice Punch only has 10 less BP and superior accuracy." (from analysis). Run Fire Punch or EQ, depending on what your team needs more.

Run Mach Punch, as it's useful for getting a quick kill on something that Focus Punch couldn't.

It is very effective, I can assure you that. It will OHKO non Shuca berry Metagross, and only Mach punch infernape, can stop you from killing one poke via endeavor+ice shard combo, bar ghosts(Mach punch infernape is very UNcommon though, so you should be able to kill atleast 1 poke). I do recommend jolly on it, just to out speed lead heatran, and OHKO with Earthquake(i believe it OHKOes Shuca berry ones, not sure though). Use it, you won't be disapointed.

Yeah, I just need to make sure that I can switch in to the most common Ghost types that go in (looking at you, Rotom-H >.>)

When you say Mach Punch Infernape you don't mean a LeadApe with Mach Punch do you? Because LeadApe will still KO LeadSwine with Fake Out+Close Combat/Fire Blast/Overheat. But yeah LeadSwine should be fine as long as you don't play LeadApe.

The Move Restriction Guide answers your question. The short version is that the affected Pokemon will alternate between the move encored and Struggle until the Encore ends.

What counters MixNite and SubPetaya Empoleon?

Well, really any Bulky Water that invests highly in defense can counter MixNite, and any Water-type can counter SubPetaya Empoleon if it doesn't carry HP-Electric. I think it is safe to say that Mixpert can counter them both effectively. IIRC, Mixpert OHKOs SubPetaya Empoleon with Earthquake and OHKOs MixNite with Ice Beam. Neither of the two can hit him particularly hard, so yeah, go with Mixpert.
