Pokemon Riddle

Turn 1:
I sent out X.
Opponent sent out Y.
X used Ominous Wind!
It's super effective!
Y lost 20.8%.
Y used Rain Dance!
OMG it's raining!

Turn 2:
X used Psybeam!
It's not very effective!
Y lost 19.5%.
--- That's all that's needed ---

Neutral nature Level 100 no EVs perfect IVs.
Y is Mr. Mime and X is Masquerain. Even with filter, I'm not sure about the numbers, is there an ominous wind boost or a berry activation missing here?

FINAL EDIT: I'm an idiot, I forgot about Plat tutors ._.

X is Venomoth

OR NOT: Wait, Venomoth does too much to Mr. Mime, so it doesn't work :(
Did you think that Masquerain/Butterfree got tinted lens or did I miss something?

@Adamant Torterra: Nah, you got it right! Venomoth has 216 SpA. Mr. Mime has 276 Sp Def 221 HP. Super Effective Ominous Wind vs Filter Mr. Mime does min 20.8% damage. Not Very Effective Tinted Lens Psybeam vs Mr. Mime does maximum 19.5% damage.

EDIT: Ok, yah, looks like I didn't do the calc right. For some reason I just assumed Filter equates to +1 SDef on Mr. Mime's side which resulted in the min damage of 20.8%, but yah, it should have been 23%... :( Looks like I should just stick to regular calculations next time.

Turn 1:
I sent out X.
Opponent sent out Y.
X used Ominous Wind!
It's super effective!
Y lost 20.8%.
Y used Rain Dance!
OMG it's raining!

Turn 2:
X used Psybeam!
It's not very effective!
Y lost 19.5%.
--- That's all that's needed ---

Neutral nature Level 100 no EVs perfect IVs.

Most likely scenario here is that a Filter/Solid Rock Pokemon is facing off against a Tinted Lens Pokemon. The only pokemon that has those type resistances and filter/solid rock is Mr. Mime. The only Pokemon with Tinted Lens that learns those attacks is Venomoth. And sure enough, with a near-max damage draw, Venomoth hits 19.5% damage on Mr. Mime with Psybeam. Only problem is, Ominous Wind does at least 23.9% back to Mr. Mime.

Still, I'll say X is Venomoth and Y is Mr. Mime.

A = Claydol
W = Energy Ball/Shadow Ball
X = Role Play/Skill Swap
Y = Earth Power/Earthquake
Z = Hidden Power Electric

No. Kadabra's LO HP Electric is incapable of OHKOing 0/0 -sdef Articuno.

Ludicolo used Surf

END TURN 3

And that’s all you need.
Good luck!
Winner gets a fish ><>’

It took me a while to figure this out, but i think i got it.

I hope this works, lol.

This is probably easy. But anyways...

Petrie911, the only other thing I an think of right now for your riddle is basically EUM's answer with HP Fire over Mimic. But you suggested that there's another possible answer...

I thought up another:

TotalPotato sent out A!
Foe sent out Gengar!

A used X!
Gengar lost 40% of its health.
Gengar used Focus Blast!
It's not very effective...
A lost 33% of its health.
Gengar lost 10% of its health.
A's leftovers restored its health a little!
A restored 6% of its health.

A used Y!
???
Gengar used Shadow Ball!
It doesn't affect A...
A's leftovers restored its health a little!
A restored 6% of its health.

A used X!
Gengar lost 50% of its health.
Gengar fainted!

Ok, since Fighting hit for NVE damage, and Shadow ball didnt affect, i have to say im very confused x_o

Is that even possible? D:

I mean, the only type ghost doesnt affect is Normal, and Normal gets hit Super Effectively by Fighting...

Edit: Ooooh, theres a move called Camouflage?

A = Starmie
X = Brine
Y = Camouflage (changes it to normal type in link battles)

That was a nice one :), now let me try and find an attack that does between 40 and 50% to gengar.

EDIT: Because I expect nothing less from you, I'm going to go for Brine as the attack:

0 SpA Brine vs 0/0 Gengar (>50%): 34.5 - 40.6%
0 SpA Brine vs 0/0 Gengar (<=50%): 68.2 - 80.5% (but if you're playing with strict damage clause, since it takes it out, you won't get told how much more damage than the opposing pokemon's hp you did to it)

I liked it because you could figure it out methodically, and while the moves used weren't everyday (boring) competitive moves, you used two competitive pokemon.

It was quite straightforward I guess, but still enjoyable to solve. Firstly you knew that Pokemon A is faster than Gengar (and isn't scarfed, as it changes moves the next turn). You also know that it naturally resists Fighting, so that leaves you with Starmie, Azelf, Alakazam, Skymin, Mewtwo, Crobat, Deoxys, and Ninjask. Now move Y must be a move that changes the user's type, since none of these both resist Fighting and are immune to Ghost (in fact nothing is unless gamefreak makes a Ghost/Normal type). Conversion and Conversion 2 were my first thoughts, but they are unique to the Porygon family and Smeargle, who can't outspeed Gengar without a boosting item. Then I remembered Camouflage, and it was quite easy from there.

Like I've already said, it was well thought out and fun :).

EDIT: At below poster - I think it's a bit too long and has too many variables, and perhaps not enough information (I wasn't really taking anything in while reading it, but that's probably just me). Try shortening it a bit and having only three or four mystery things, it'll make more people want to have a try at it.

Petrie911, the only other thing I an think of right now for your riddle is basically EUM's answer with HP Fire over Mimic. But you suggested that there's another possible answer...

Well, I'll admit, I was being a bit misleading. EUM's answer was a good guess because he was very close to being right. You are even closer, but HP Fire and HP Rock can't go on the same Pokemon.

Umm..., it could have been using Night Slash on an Alakazam.
Or it could have been X-Scissor on a Mightyena.
There are tons of possibilities.

Oh, and FISH!

You win this fish if you get my puzzle right.

Armaldo used X
It's super effective!
A lost 100% of its health.
A fainted.

Armaldo used Rock Throw
Shedinja lost 100% of its health

You cannot tell me that it is incorrect because it fits perfectly. You created a riddle with multiple answers.

Oh and user with dumb name above me: Post count means nothing to any intelligent person. Most people here do not care that you have 3 posts.

My riddle
Mil sent out X
Opponent sent out Lopunny
X used Sucker Punch, but it failed
Lopunny used A
X was confused
Lum Berry cured its confusion

Lopunny used A
???
Lopunny became confused

Lopunny used B
???
X lost 25% of its health

What is X (2 possibilities)
What is A (2 possibilities)
What is B
What happened during the 1st ???
What happened during the 2nd ???
I think the messaging is off. However I am pretty sure that the riddle is still solvable.

X is Kecleon.
A is Confuse Ray
In the 1st ???, Kecleon used Magic Coat.

Hmmm... for B... I'll edit it in later lol.

X = Honchkrow
A = Sweet Kiss
B = Bounce
1st ??? = Honchkrow used Psycho Shift
2nd ??? = Lopunny bounces, Honchkorw atatcks but misses

OK after more thinking, this is what i came up with =/
X = Kecleon
A = Sweet Kiss
B = Dig
1st ??? = Kecleon used Magic Coat
2nd ??? = Lopunny digs, Kecleon attacks and misses

How about...

X = Kecleon or Absol
A = Sweet Kiss or Swagger
B = Bounce
First ?? = Kecleon/Absol used Magic Coat
2nd ?? = Kecleon/Absol used Substitute

?

EDIT: How would Dig/Bounce not work? Kecleon wouldn't be affected by Color Change until it is hit with that move, which would happen the following turn?

OK last try for tonight

X = Girafarig
A = Sweet Kiss
B = Dig
1st ??? = Girafarig used Magic Coat
2nd ??? = Lopunny digs, Girafarig attacks and misses

Hmm... riddle aborted. I believe I screwed it up.

Anyway here was the answer I had in mind

X = Kecleon/Absol
A = Sweet Kiss (It can't be Swagger as there was no boosted attack message).
B = Substitute
1st ??? = Kecleon/Absol used Magic Coat
2nd ??? = Kecleon/Absol used Snatch and stole the Substitute, thus losing 25% of their health.

edit: Yeah thanks for catching those typos CD.

Lopunny doesn't learn Confuse Ray though (but yah I dunno why I was so careless as to say Swagger)... and I'm pretty sure you mean Magic Coat, not Mirror Coat.

Yeah, I guess (B = Sub, 2nd?? = Snatch) or (B = Dig/Bounce while 2nd?? = Sub) both work.

I made plenty of mistakes making my riddles too, so no worries. I think as long as we just try our best not to make mistakes, it's ok. It's not like we're trolling.
