Ridiculous speculation isn't really needed. Try to keep the information announcements factually based rather than outlandish rumors which almost always turn out to be false.
 
ok... so based on how high Mt. silver is in the art, how big will the inside dugeon be?. The old one was three floors that were not particularly big. I'm hoping for a bigger one this time around.
 
Notched-Ear Pichu can learn Pain Split, as shown in the video on Filb.

This might be a decent competitive option for those that choose to use Pikachu/Raichu in battle, since they have low HP and lack a recovery move.

Anyway, from those new screenshots, we can infer a few new things. Firstly, breeding differences are in, and not just an unobtainable part of the game (like Bonsly in Pokémon XD). However, since the pose of the notched-ear Pichu is different from that of the regular Pichu, they won't be able to put thousands of possibilities in. So I think that only a few Pokémon (baby Pokémon?) will have any differences.

Secondly, the Arceus event seems to involve the player. In the screenshot, he is shown standing on the top symbol; this is probably the way of choosing out of Dialga, Palkia and Giratina (stand on the respective symbol). Also, there are hundreds of Unown in the foreground. This suggests Arceus has a link to the Unown; perhaps Arceus gave each Unown a small part of its power, and when hundreds of Unown gather, this is amplified (purely speculation)? Also, the presence of Unown implies that it takes place in a hidden part of the Ruins of Alph.

EDIT: Actually, I was wrong (I should read the article properly next time); the Arceus event doesn't take place in the Ruins of Alph, but a new area.

First, it says the Notched Ear Pichu is at Level 30 knowing the attacks Volt Tackle, Helping Hand, Swagger & Pain Split. It also states where you need to go for the Arceus event. If you take Arceus to the Ruins of Alph, you will be given access to a new area which houses ruins called Shinto Ruins. Once there, you will meet Cynthia and then decide the Dragon you wish to create. When that happens, Arceus gets swarmed by Unown. Click the picture to go to out pre-release picture page.

Pikachu/Raichu(unless the NEP can't evolve for some reason...) with Pain Split? WTH were they thinking, but then again they gave Pikachu Fly before...

About the Arceus thing, the fact that Arceus 'gets swarmed' by Unown when Dialga, Palkia or Giratina is 'created', suggests that Unown has to do something with the process.
 
I want to buy this. Is the story going to be equal to the original or with some extras, like Leaf Green and Fire Red?

I want a huge Pokemon version that you can walk over all four continents and beat all the gym leaders and their respectives elite fours. So, you could still training while next level 100.
 
From Arceus' behaviour it seems that the Pokémon following you will be doing an animation most of the time. But Arceus did seem smart enough to stay still when Gold was talking to someone.

But after they used the move, the opponet would kill them. I mean come on, pikachu is ohko'ed by just about everything except shuckle, and raichu isn't renowned for it's defenses either. I'd much rather ko the opponet with pikachu's volt tackle!
 
It says the Jirachi event is only for Japanese games, will there be another one for non-japanese games? Also does that link say you can download it from anywhere? And does Arceus have to be an event Arceus to get the level 1 dragons or could one just hack it? And anyone know whether Arceus event is directly to HGSS or if its from D/P/Pt to HGSS?

Considering the movie will be released on July, you must transfer it from DPPt.
 
New battle style is kind of corny but notched ear pichu looks awesome in battle! Also, sorry for asking kind of a noob question but, what is the Jirachi event for?
 
Too bad they changed the status screen to white again, I liked Platinum's black one. :(

Also couldn't the large gold cloud be covering the secret area that is unlocked when Jirachi is transferred over? Any ideas what the smaller white cloud is covering?

Oh and what is speculated to be that giant island mass beside the small beach town? Could possibly be Battle Frontier?

This remake is turning out to be really amazing. o_o
