That map makes me think that they might have changed the location of Indigo Plateau; Mount Silver is very clearly to the North, and there is more open space that seems to have buildings in it to the left of Victory Road; perhaps Indigo Plateau is the open space, and Mt Silver's entrance is now to the North?

I'm very interested in that region to the left of the islands.

but bozo boltbedam would suck together, it might even lose covereage

that's true actually. i guess any enemy that resists one of the ice/elec but is not weak to the other would still take reduced damage. same story with fire/dragon.

oh well, would still be interesting to figure out what would be the siungle best type combo for a single move in order to maximise coverage. (lol might end up being mono-dragon)

It is, because when you add in another type it will diminish type coverage, since every type except dragon is resisted by atleast two types. I really hope this doesn't happen, while it would be cool, pokemon is marketed towards kids, and I have a hard enough time explaining which types hit which to some of my friends who are getting back into it...

Was exremespeed dratini an event or could you get it in game in crystal? I hope they just make it a move tutor move (Garchomp would be amazing)

Also can't wait to see the inside of Mt. Silver, hopefully you won't need flash

Fail, while it would make sense for Garchomp to receive Extremespeed, it doesn't need it. Dragonite, on the other hand, could use it extremely well in the lead position, considering Inner Focus prevents any Fake Out strategy from working.

No, that white/purple/silverish/indigo mountain is the Indigo Plateau. You can see by its foot the route leading to Mt. Silver.

And somebody raised this in another forum and I thought it was pretty interesting: What if the enju trees become a new area, called "Golden Forest", as we already have a Mt. Silver? See, they could even put Leaf from the RBY remakes there, while Red stays in Mt. Silver!

Woo hoo! These were so incredibly awesome when they first came out (story mode anyway, I had no idea what the heck competitive battling was back then).

Uh, so looking at the same character running around all the time must get boring too. Hey, can we turn that off? Also, I'm tired of looking at pokemon all the time. Can I turn the pokemon off? In fact, looking at this game all the time while I play it would get boring after awhile, is there an option to turn all the visuals off all together?

It's still not too late send a letter to GameFreak and ask them to have Cliff Burton's reanimated corpse following you around through the world of Pokemon. Maybe that would be more up your ally? Or you can just not have any Pokemon in your team at all! That way, you won't have a lead, and those darn annoying pokemon won't get in the way of your intense gaming experience! Problem solved!

Looking all I'm saying is that if the Pokemon was following you EVERY SECOND of the game, it would get annoying after awhile.

There's also situations where the pokemon following you would just seem out of place. In the Elite 4 for one. Your pokemon are supposed to work like a team and only one is following you?

I like the idea of Pokemon following you around. I just don't think it's something that I should be stuck with and forced to do.

Yeah, that was my first thought, it's just that the path that leads to 'Mount Silver' looks quite plateau-ish and appears to have buildings there. It also seems a bit weird that you would have a giant silver mountain that WASN'T Mount Silver, but was actually the Indigo Plateau.

Regardless, I think the golden smudge above Ecruteak becoming "Golden Forest" would be very interesting indeed.

Golden forest sounds awesome, just make it special and not the sidequest place everyone forget's about...

Hmm...you know the picture with Teddiursa in Cherrygrove? It has a smilie above it's head...do you think the happiness checker like thing will be back?

I'm looking foreward to golden forest. Maybe throw in some super rare pokes in there or something. What about wild leafeons!? I know that sounds dum but you could get steelix in d/p/pt so why not? And then you could get glaceon in the wirl islands!? ;)

That wouldn't make any sense because I see the Whirl Islands as predominately tropical.
Last I checked, the Whirl Islands were a bunch of caves. Still, not a place for Glaceon.

And also, Redpebbles, the "Golden Forest" was just an idea that Arael had. I doubt it'll exist.

I wonder if people will SR for the red Gyarados. I know RNG abusers won't, but would regular people?

Anybody ever wonder what would happen if the lead Pokemon in your party is fainted? Does it still follow you around, does the second Pokemon now follow you, or does nothing follow you? And what happens if you put an Egg first? Perhaps these could be ways of "turning it off" for people who think they might get annoyed or tired of the feature.

I also wonder what would happen if they have one of those events where you pair up with an NPC...

Im pretty sure that Mountain is Mt Silver and the stuff in front of it is the pokemon center, the path to the Mountain, and maybe the path where you can go to victory road, Kanto, or Mt Silver. I don't think Indigo Platuea is on this map, it just shows the area east to New Bark Town where the dude goes "you're in Kanto" and the E-4 was farther west than that

Ok, so you mean that A, B and C are NOT the route to Mt. Silver, that Kanto route west of Viridian and the route that leads to the three-way passage to Victory Road?
