Well, we kind of want to give these to those who are truly exceptional spriters, right? It wouldn't be as special or rewarding if a lot of people had them. =/
Common logistics for decisions making, you have an odd number of people so no ties occur.

Well, there hasn't been a sprite lately, so I thought I'd post this recolor.That's true. Nice Torterra recolour by the way - really digging the Autumn colours. Anyway, for the subtheme, I meant first gen types only, meaning you can use any Pokemon you want, but you cannot use the Dark and Steel types because they were introduced in the second gen.
I'm finally done Koffing, but I hate myself for the terrible job I did on the smoke. I honestly did not know what I could do with it. I'm very proud of the shading and outlining though :). It was also very large (I did not resize it because I wanted a challenge) and time consuming. A total of roughly 4 hours work.

I spent an hour or so making more entries to my Buizel-Dex. There are flaws in all of them, but I like all three.

@1337- Naw, I'm just a mild head case. The asylum didn't want me. =DThe Koffing's main body shading is win. Seriously.
Though, a one or two problems:
The shading in the mouth is all over the place, and on top of that, it looks like it needs more shades. Try an additional two-three shades, two for the tongue, one for the mouth.
The shading on the skull and crossbones is inconsistent with the rest of the body, adapt the shading to the shades of purple.Hall of Fame rough
Here's my rough draft. I thought there could be runner-ups as well, who receive a silver medal while the winner receives gold. Instead of multiple trophies/medals being given out to the same user, they'll just be upgraded according to their amount of contest wins.
EDIT: Thanks for the C+C Ninjabait. I'm especially proud of the body outlining. As for the shading in the mouth, there's only two colours on the sprites, so that's what I went with. I see what you mean about the skull and crossbones being inconsistent, thanks again.

Well the contest thread hopefully will be stickied, and it's not too much trouble to post their winning sprite. Each week won't have a separate thread, the same thread will just be editted each week :).
Anyway, I fixed the Skull+Crossbones shading and fiddled around a bit with the mouth shading. C + C?
Well, that could probably get confusing after a while, I still think that new threads would be better. =/
On to the Koffing, the tongue still looks oddly angled, either make it come out of the mouth, or as a half circle on the bottom. Also, I think that there needs to be a shine on the tongue, but that's just me.
It's a good idea. I guess I'll choose first :D Chaos' first gen types only for the re-types is go.

Getting 4 wins will be no easy task unless you're a very good spriter :P

Thanks again for the C+C, I know the tongue is weird, but I'm still satisfied with the overall look of the sprite. After all, for a first pixel-over I think I did a very decent job.
I'm going to cook up the scene for the Hall of Fame now.
Awaiting confirmation from 1337 and/or Mordock to send rough drafts to get approved (are we using Ninja's or 1337's?).

Well, adding formating is pretty easy for me, and we can just add in the themes as we go. But, we should have a vote, if you ask me.

Done with the Ritsu lineart, the hair and buttons were a bitch to do, now doing Yui and Gitah (The Second Girl from the left, to the right of Ritsu, Gitah is the name of the guitar). The hair is also being a pain, and Gita is no better. DX
Yeah the posts are right 1337. We should make the thread when everyone is online so we can reserve easily. As for judging, I was thinking American Idol style (except with more than 3 probably, perhaps 5). The contestants have 5 days to complete their sprite, meaning they must submit it by the end of day 5. Sometime during Day 6, the judges will post their results separately (but may converse with other judges). If there is a tie there will just be two winners or one will be chosen. Then on Day 7 we start this all over again!

I personally don't like that method. It doesn't leave enough time for most people to find the thread, look for the current theme, and then make it. I say 7 Days, we judge, then post the results with the new theme when the judges send in their thoughts.
No rush, we're still planning things out.
I'm going to finish it up tomorrow.What the hell, there's been about 5 more pages since I left...

I'm just sitting back and watching all of this discussion of the contests. I know for sure I'm going to want to enter them...or at least until I win enough to get whatever prize you guys decide on.
Then maybe if there are open positions, I'll join in on judging.
Or just lurk for the hell of it and use my Fuzzbeary cruelty to laugh at newbies.
