Something that has been bugging me lately:

When you have a Choice Scarf on a Pokemon, lets say with 201 speed. You speed is: 201 x 1.5 = 301.5

This speed "301.5" is rounded DOWN on Shoddy to 301.

So I'm wondering if everything rounds down.

Leftovers recovers 6.25% of health. So lets say Blissey's HP is 714. 6.25% of 714 is 44.625

Does 44.625 round down to 44 HP recovery or up to 45?

Leftovers recovery is 1/16th of the holder's maximum health rounded down, so yes, it will recover 44HP per turn instead of 45.

Is Psychic generally good typing? Decent offensively, not very good defensively, but fantastic in any mean of supportive movepools. Your opinions?
Also, is Psychic of any usability on Gengar?

It's alright as a type I guess. But psychic is a wasted move on Gengar. Doesn't help with anything important at all- you're better off with sludge bomb, which I personally always use on Gengar. Not much in the way of supereffective coverage, but it does great damage neutral and has a bonus of additional poison damage.

My question: If it's hailing but Rayquaza is out on the field, does Blizzard still have its 100% accuracy? I don't think it does but aren't sure.

Since Air Lock stops weather effects I'm going to say that Blizzard would go down to it's original accuracy, I could be wrong but I don't think I am.

Hi guys, is there a way to earn money faster than constantly challenging Socialite Reina and the Gentleman guy near Pokemon Mansion? Thanks.

While a Pokémon with Air Lock is in play, the effects of weather are temporarily disabled. Fire- and Water-type moves are at normal power in sun and rain, Rock-types have normal Special Defense in sandstorm, SolarBeam has 120 base power and takes 2 turns, Blizzard and Thunder have normal accuracy, and Pokémon take damage from neither sandstorm nor hail. The game will report that the weather is still going, and the weather's effects will return when the Pokémon with Air Lock switches out.

This isn't a really simple question... But I really couldn't find any other place to put this. =/
If there's a better place, please direct me to it.

I wanted to get some help on making a good Porygon-Z set for the Battle Hall on Platinum... (I assume this goes here? I guess? I dunno.)

At first, I checked the Porygon-Z page on the main site, but I thought for a bit...

Smogon's sets apply to it dealing with threats and such in OU- not typically everything and anything that can appear, and for overall type coverage... Or so is the impression I got.

Also, I had a few problems in that past with a couple of my Pokemon being 1-hit KOd before they could even attack. I wanted to know if I should probably prioritize speed, and go with Timid with a Choice Scarf, or maybe Sp. Atk with Modest and Choice Specs, or something in between. And if I should potentially just attempt to melt everything's skull with Hyper Beam.

There's also the Adaptability vs. Download thing. While usually Download is better on Choice sets, as it's Sp. Atk boost provides more than the Adaptability boost by 12%, unless you use Nasty Plot (in which Adaptability is than better). However, when you have a Porygon-Z on a team, you can be picky and make sure when you send him out, your opponent is one with more Defense. However, when in the battle hall, on occasion it might just give him a useless boost.

Help plz. =3

I'm giving it my first shot at breeding for Egg Moves and I'm a bit stuck. I have a Female Larvitar with Assurance and Pursuit, both of which are egg moves; I also have a Male Charmander with Dragon Dance and Dragon Rush, again, both of which are egg moves.

I'm trying to get a Larvitar (either gender) with all four moves. I'm pretty sure I'm supposed to breed the Charmander for a Male Larvitar, but I still don't know where the points ultimately cross.

I don't believe Larvitar can learn Dragon Rush.
Usually when faced with a situation like this, you can't combine the egg moves of the mother and the father, and I don't think that Dragon Dance and Pursuit/Assurance are legal on the same set, so you might be out of luck.
DDancetar wouldn't really work well with pursuit anyway.

Is anyone able to check if they can connect to my shoddy server? It's not listed as I have only just set it up. I can connect to it fine, just want to know if other people can. Please PM me and I'll give you the host and port number.

I believe only Charmander's moves will pass to the baby. If the mother has special moves and the father doesn't, they won't pass.

Therefore, the combination of the 4 moves you want is illegal.

Wgo would win in a battle between Garchomp and Salmence, assuming they were both switched in at the same time, there was a Sandstorm, and Salmence wasnt holding an item?
And how would the outcome be affected if Garchomp was holding either a Life Orb or Brightpowder?
Also, Salmence has Dragon Claw and Draco Meteor, and Garchomp has Dragon Rush and Dragon Claw.

Where can one buy Dive Balls?
Mossdeep City in the Third Generation. They don't have any use in DPP, since there are no underwater areas.

In Fr/Lg/D/P/Pt, they work better on "Water-Dwelling Pokemon".

Pokemon found via fishing rod or through surfing, IIRC.

Anyway, while you can't buy Dive Balls... You CAN get them as a reward from bringing a Pokemon to the news reporter... guy... located in Solaceon town. You can save in front of him once you have the Pokemon, and reset until he gives you Dive Balls. You can also save to change the Pokemon that he requests. I recommend saving in front of him before he asks, as he may ask for something you may not have and may not want to go find, or would be hard to get, like a Starter you don't have. Preferably, make him want to get something you have sitting in your PC and can just go pick it up in a couple seconds.

Is the description of the damage formula on Smogon accurate/up-to-date? When I used that formula to calculate damage ranges by hand, I got different results from both psypokes and metalkid's damage calculators, but they gave the same results as each other.
