Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

mattj, your step 12 should be repeat steps # 8 - #12. Make sure to subtract regigigas' monster frame and # of roaming legends from the target frame.

I have tried to get shiny gible with my shiny spread. I can get this shiny spread with three different frames if i hit my right delay. I have tried three times to get the right frames and right seed, and it has lucked my. But the first time i've encountered instead of gible a bronzor, then a geodude and then on the last of the three different frames again bronzor. Does that mean that i can't get Gible with that spread ?

If you have used a synchronizer to hit all possible frames and none yielded a Gible, I'm afraid you're out of luck. Sorry!

Too bad, that spread was almost flawless that I was using :( But there are still other pokemons that I can get with it =)

And bearsfan092 the most common reason that i learned IV abusing was thanks to your video, so i'll thank you !

Is it possible to abuse for Nature but not shininess? I'm doing all of the steps in "how to hatch a shiny" except I'm not checking the shiny box. That SHOULD give me a non-shiny egg of the proper nature, right?? But I keep getting shit like Naive when I'm doing the coin flips for Relaxed...

Yeah that works. Sounds like you are doing something wrong. Perhaps using an everstone or international (or not) international parents.

@Mendokuse: Yes it is possible. Same as when you are breeding shiny, choose the nature and gender that you want, right click and choose Calculate poketch Taps, do the double taps and coin flip according to what the RNG reporter shows.

Ha! Nobody will ever believe this! I've played pokemon off and on for literally 10 years now AND I'VE NEVER ONCE ENCOUNTERED A SHINY IN THE WILD EVAR!!!! So here I am Calibrating my Seconds and Delay, when what do you know I stumble upon? A Shiny Modest Illumise with IVs of around 16 / 10 / 22 / 22 / 20 / 4 and the ability Tinted Lense (powers up "not very effective" moves)

10 FRIGGIN YEARS AND NOW AFTER I LEARN TO RNG SHINYS LIKE NOBODYS BUSINESS I RUN INTO MY FIRST SHINY IN THE WILD!!!!! XDXDXDXD

Can you beleive it?

Still hoping for some help with my frame problem from the previous page. The only other frame # I saw during calibration was 11...so even if it was 11 instead of 10 that would mean I'd be hitting a frame later.

Any "you're doing this wrong, retard, it should be like this" posts would be appreciated. Even the most obvious stuff you can think of -- it is my first RNG. :)

Do you guys know how the Great Marsh is divided into zones? Is it one huge zone, or is it divided into multiple zones? Also, is there a way to freeze those NPCs there (I can't use the Vs Seeker trick...)? Is the only thing I could do is quickly putting up the menu screen?

EDIT: gah, just realized that I can't save when I'm in Great Marsh. That's a huge letdown =[

Gahagen, your best bet it to find a spread on an odd frame, or to re-save to try to get a more consistant frame. You seem to be doing everything right.

Does the -1 to RNG advancement apply when hatching an egg? I had thought that was for wild encounters only, and when hatching an egg your frame was your frame.

im working on my first rng omg the taps take forever :(
Don't worry, it isn't that much; I have done 250 journal flips every reset for 8 hours straight before(it was worth it in the end), fuck it's annoying. Try and torsojuke for low spreads, I always go for >100 double taps as I am good at losing count when doing taps.

im halfway to what im going for got a 1250 one and i have 620 taps atm

Wow, that's heaps in my opinion, you shouldn't be doing large amounts of flips on your first abuse as you have a high chance of doing it wrong since you haven't done it before.

EDIT:Let's hope you get it, I remember going for Shiny jolly female cute charm for a Lopunny for Diploman and getting it on frame 1.

Happiness tapping is for the birds, I strongly suggest learning to hit your delay.
It is so much faster to get a correct shiny/gender/nature/ability egg when you can do that.

So apparently I'm doing something wrong. I haven't been able to hit my seed in like 15 tries. Thankfully, it only takes like 3-4 minutes a try so I haven't wasted too much time.

I'm saved in front of Regi and know my target time and delay and seem to hit my target time. I SR and mash A and usually hit A on the continue screen right on the second I'm supposed to. But when I flip the coins I never get the pattern I'm supposed to.

I'm not really frustrated yet, but 15/0 seems to say I'm doing something wrong. Should I go back and calibrate a litte more to make sure I'm timing everything right?

Oh, and I can't seem to find that application where you can enter the coinflips you got and find out what you actually hit so I can adjust. Where is that again?

Any advice?

[edit] does it hurt to have a synchronizer on your team but not in the 1st slot?

Yea, you really can't tell whether you got the right delay without the coin-flips. The coin-flip sequence is a good way of knowing how close you are to the target delay, because I believe you hit most of the coin-flips correct the closer you are to the delay. If my first or second coin-flip turns bad, I assume I was off from my delay by quite a lot.

The coin-toss app is obtained at Hotel Grand Lake located south of Valor Lakefront. It requires Rock Climb to reach this house sheltering a man that provides this application.

If your RNG recorder generated your frame and such with the assumption of a synchronizer being present, the synchronizer must be on the 1st slot when fighting Regigigas. You can give it smoke ball to run away from other wild Pokemon.
