Here's my WSC entry for this week, thought I'm come here to see if anyone has any tips.

Well, its mewtwo obviously, using HGSS and DPPt sprites for the head, hands, right foot, and tail. The rest was scratched, Im really happy about how it turned out.
 
Tbh, I find this weeks WSC to be a bit out of my range :P, so requests, 3 pokemon, the harder the better- but no stupid requests like weedle/zapdos/dratini
 
Well, Mordock: How about Weedle, Dratini, and Seviper to tickle your fancy? I believe all three of those should be fuseable, just not easily.

EDIT: @Solstice: That is a really awesome Mewtwo.
 
Nice Mewtwo. This could be just me, but I think the torso is a bit small. But anyway, it's still cool.

I might not be on here for the next few days, 'cause of School+Homework+Trumpet+Piano+Soccer+Writing and Article. Thought I'd let you guys know.

Our left leg looks like it's infront of the body, while it should look like it's behind it. This can be fixed by making front of the tail overlap that leg.

Other that that pretty good. It's more interesting than the HGSS sprite.
 
Hey I'm trying to use Windows Movie Maker, I put in the images, and it works, but how do I get and endless loop?

Once I do that, how do I get it up here to show you people?
 
I have a very complex request for anyone who wishes to venture deep into the realm of making my new avatar.

PM me for details, I want to keep it a surprise from the rest of the peons and their primitive pixellating. ;)

I've been messing around with my Scizor Dex a bit. I have been looking at Scizoterra, and I'm wondering which sprite looks better.

Yeah, all you guys are awesome, and you inspired me to make my first (albeit simple) sprites.

I deleted my original post, but here are a few sprites I've made,:

What image site do you guys use to host? And what programmes do you use?

^I made that for a contest by some guy from another forum. Netted me 2nd place it did. That's a fusion between Red/Blue Machop and Red/Blue Beedrill.

Anyway, I'm quite new here. so sup?

Just a few quick pointers. It's always better if you do a Recolor before actually spriting. (At least, for me anyway.) That way, once you start fusing pieces, there is little color changing going on. It also makes the sprite look more decent overall. :]

Also, it's easier to start with easily fuseable things like Voltorb and Hoothoot, which you did. You could try Voltorb and Drifloon (I did that as my first one. ^^) Otherwise, your only good sprite is Golotto and it could use some work. Don't give up though!
 
So, I wanted to try my hand at Revamping so I revamped a Crystal still sprite of Aerodactyl to 4th gen.

I had to get parts from HeartGold/SoulSilver Aerodactyl and edited the feet a little to make this sprite happen.

Here's the original Crystal Aerodactyl still sprite for comparison:

Hmmm... Seems I forgot to answer this. Well, for me personally, I use Tinypic to host my images, though photobucket works fine as well. For programs I use paint.NET, and you should always save as a PNG file.

That's pretty good Awel. Now, you just have to work on the shading.

In Driftorb, do you notice how the shading on its Cloud is from the upper left, while the shading on its body is the upper right? Those are the kind of small errors you'll make at first and have to work on. (I think I still make some of them. x.x)

And like on the legs for Driftode. They don't really seem to match up as the two legs on our left are shaded lighter than they should be.
 
I was wondering if anyone would like to fulfill a quick request for me: Heatran devamped to an RBY color pallete.

EDIT: nvm, I got it for now, but I would still like to see what you guys can do and how you do it as a matter of learning.

And Wombat Sky Forme, I just battled you on Shoddy. I led with an ambipom, and had a Swampert that caused problems for your team..?
 
Wow, this thread goes so slowly without me around :D

Once again, sorry. Verizon (My internet provider) had a "sevice error" and my internet went down for however long. I practically tore out my hair, not knowing what you guys were doing in here.

@Awel: Lots of things to say, but I'm much too lazy too critique all your pieces. Major problem I noticed though, you need to work on your shading.

I use Deviantart for uploading my major stuff, imageshack for other. Photobucket is probably the best site out there for sprite hosting.
And I just use Paint for my sprites. You don't need anything else if you're just going to make sprites.
