Disregard that. That is mainly for emerald and other GBA game abusers where the RNG is time based.
So all I do is try and hit the seed. and then do the flips? Then talk to cress?
LF - yes

Can't find what emloop?
Anyways it's on th front page 4th or 5th Post...
Basicly it's timer that you can start at the same time as hard reseting/soft reseting, when the timer stops, it makes a beeping sound so you can practice by following the sound and pressing A at the same time as the timer beeps..anyways that's my way of using it, however there are other way's, explained in the 4th or 5th post in the first page.
You just gotta go with what method your comfy with...and it might be hard at first, but it get's easier over time.
Hi again,
I finally hitted my target time and my delay, I do the page flips, I fish, not even a nible... Does this affects the rng too? Means that I have to start over again?
You have to start over, and find a frame on which the encounter slot for the rod you are using says landed a fish. There is a post on the main page made by mingot that discusses this. It's not in the first one, but a few posts down.Hi again,

Does changing the date affect what combo of SID/ID you're going to have?
I was curious cause when I had no result for a particular date, I changed and I suddenly got alot better results....tough it might just be luck..
Really? That's quite interesting.Your ID and SID is based of the RNG when you are minimized into the game. Any spread on a different day can be gotten on another day just by changing the minutes and seconds. So no date is better, but in your case the day plus the delay yielded good results.
Really? That's quite interesting.
Does that mean SID/ID could be calculated with that in mind, like if you hit a cartain delay on certain date and time it give you a certain SID/ID combo?
Alright thanks.Actually I have tried testing this, and probably some others, but we couldn't find any correlation between the ID and SID with the seed. Perhaps it is ran off the same RNG for wondercard PIDs, who knows. Until mingot takes an interest in it, which he won't, and looks at it under a debugger, it will remain unknown.
If I'm fishing, and say, the spread I want is on frame 9, how many times do I advance the RNG? I haven't tried this before and I can't seem to find it in the OP.
You can also walk 128 steps on no wild pokemon area with 5 pokemon. If I'm fishing, and say, the spread I want is on frame 9, how many times do I advance the RNG? I haven't tried this before and I can't seem to find it in the OP.
Alright, I'm getting ready to SR myself a Shaymin. Even with my year maxed out at 2099, I still have a delay higher than anything I've ever gotten before, so I'm going to try the emloop method, but I have a few questions.
1. Wasn't it said before that the value for delay is not directly correlated to seconds? I recall when I was very first calibrating my delay, I got the same delay at 14 and 15 seconds. If so, how does it work exactly? The seconds are when you enter the game, while the delay is how many seconds, converted into frames per second, ~60. It is around 10 seconds for the game from the white screen after the game loads till when you hit continue.
2. Can someone please further explain the step 3.5 in Syberia's guide? I don't understand how having a different starting time can make it any easier to respond at 0:00:00. Can't help you here.
3. I've heard conflicting reports on whether the Journal's opening page (the page that appears when you select "Journal" under "Key Items" and don't press any buttons) advances the frame by 2 or not... it does, correct?
The first page the journal opens only advances by 2 if it has a caught pokemon on it, or defeated. If it doesn't, it doesn't advance.
Thanks!

Syberia in this step is describing how to make it so your target delay syncs better with emloop's timer. I personally never use emloop other than to calculate my delays, as I have better timing with my own stop watch. Using a stop watch is also much faster than setting your DS clock a minute behind in conjunction with emloop, but use whatever you feel is more comfortable.2. Assuming you mean seconds, there...Okay, thanks. After doing what he said, I only had 7 minutes to load my game. Once I add the 200 to my frame, do I need to press the button right under my delay and get a new seconds value to look up? If not, how do I allow myself more time?
EDIT: Even if I do that, I still only have 10 seconds... what should I do?
