Some RNG abuse questions:

Can I calibrate on Dialga?

When I want to catch a perfect Pokemon, should I use a Synchroniser?

EDIT: Are there any known bugs with running RNGReporter under mono on Linux? (Not using wine, just installing mono and doing 'mono RNGReporter.exe'. It certainly starts.)

Since the .exe does not rely on any files except itself and its .exe.config, then there should not be any bugs. But having said that, I do not run Linux, so I may well be wrong. But it would make sense. I can't answer the other questions, though =/

Try to evolve your Scyther :P Anyway, Garchomp is banned from normal play. Your team is rather ice weak, and check the analyses for Pokemon in the strategy Pokedex.

I know some moves are extremely hard to get in-game (i.e. Dragon Dance on Tyrannitar), but try to do your best, and cross-reference with Serebii.net's Pokedex.

After you've smoothed out the kinks, you can post your team in the "rate my team" subforum.

The team sounds good on paper. I say use Scyther if you want to and use what moveset you want to. However, it is ice-weak. Smoothe out the kinks and make sure you counter as many things as you can.

Yes, you can. Enter it just like you would a normal pokemon. Make sure you do not have a Synchroniser, though.

When I want to catch a perfect Pokemon, should I use a Synchroniser?
Always, always, always use a Synchronizer, and make sure you tell whatever searches for spreads for you that you are, too :).

How can Tyrogue get egg moves if it's a male only species? It has egg moves available to it and you can use them on Shoddy, but how can it actually get them?

Could someone post the link to that warmachine or whatever it was that made warstories?

Thanks

Is this what you're looking for?

@Lord Jesseus - I was intrigued by this so I did a little of searching, and according to Serebii's Pokedex All of Tyrogue's eggmoves can be learnt by either Hitmonchan, Hitmontop or Hitmonlee by level up (except for Helping Hand, which can be taught via move tutor anyways) so once they've been taught the move they can breed with Ditto to pass down the egg move.

I'm thinking of making a Hax team to annoy the hell out of people, but the only Pokemon I can think of are Togekiss, Jirachi, and Dusparce. Could anyone give me a list of viable Pokemon on a Hax team?

EDIT: Is using a Pokemon AND its evolved form on the same team breaking species clause (i.e. Scyther and Scizor)?

Thanks.

Oh and @thebattleax- People use Scyther over Scizor because Scyther has much higher base speed.

Wait, the Scyther use was ingame right? That would have been nice to know.

To answer your question WSF, no; using different pokemon on the same evolution line isn't banned. At least, I remember seeing Porygon2 and Porygon-Z on the same team at one time.

For the hax team, hmm...the only other evolution line that gets Serene Grace you haven't mentioned is Blissey. It has no flinching moves other than Headbutt, which will do next to no damage anyway. But there are other roads to obtain hax. You could try Super Luck Honchkrow with Night Slash. Or compoundeyes+low accuracy move.

It doesn't matter if it was ingame or not, people use Scyther because it has 105 base speed, where as Scizor only has 65.

OK, thanks. I'll look into Super Luck/Compoundeyes Pokemon and I'll see if there are any other Hax abilities/other ways.

Does any1 know, how to transfrom rotom into the wash-machine?
You need Platinum, if you received the Secret Key from the event, go to the Eterna Galactic base, and there is a secret room that requires the Secret Key to open, get a normal Rotom, enter the room, and you see five appliances. Press "A" on whichever Forme you want Rotom to be, and it will transform.

whats the difference between RNG advancing and frames when RNGing to get the seed you want? Whenever I see a spread/seed it only shows the frames you need but in the guide it said something about RNG advancing and I didn't understand it at all.

How do you work out which pokemon have the 'best' defences in way of HP/Defence? For example, Steelix has 75/200/65 and Skarmory has 65/140/70 - Which has the better overall special defence? Maybe a bad example but I hope you know what I'm getting at.

Thanks ;)
Step 1: Find a damage calculator.
Step 2: Input their stats (0 HP/0 Def)
Step 3: Choose a pokemon that knows a move that hits both of them for netural damage (Dialga's Ice Beam.)
Step 4: See which one loses less of their health. That's the one.

I know that multi-hit attacks like Fury Cutter are only boosted once per selection by the item Metronome. Are moves that "lock" you in, like Outrage and Rollout boosted each turn as well? Smogon says no, but personal experience (and other people) say yes.

If you're looking for a good balance between Def and SpDef, read this.

Nope. From the Smogon Item Database (Metronome):
'The boost is only applied on multiple selections of a move, not multiple executions. This means that moves that lock the user into the move for multiple turns will not boost for each time the user attacks, only when they select the move again.'
