Time to look into RNG manipulation.

Step 1: Get a shiny Pokémon.

FFFFFFFFFF

I'm currently finishing up Stark Mountain in Platinum, and I've got Buck healing my dudes. I don't plan to hang out here forever, but is there any reason why shinies can't appear in 2v2 in the wild? (I know I'll have to murder Claydol and then the other guy before catching it, but I'm leveling a Froslass so shiny Weezings should be less likely to want to explode.)

I know there's nothing that can be done to increase the appearance rate (other than spawning two at once, if that works) so suggestions as to other things I can do/get while looking would be appreciated.

[All of my shinies are from Emerald or Leaf Green, and while that would be good enough for most things, eventually I'd want a dude/breed move from 4th gen and would have to go do this anyway.]

I think that you only need the shiny to get your SID.

If that's all you need from it, I can help you get your SID. You trade me a poke that you caught/bred from that game, and I use my AR to find it's SID. You then use it to RNG abuse. PM me if you want this done.

Thanks, but if I wanted to get an AR involved, I'd just buy an AR (not like they're expensive or anything). Haven't even duped since GS, and have never used an external device. My one glitch dude (JP Darkrai) has since been replaced by a totally legitimate one.

Okay, if you want to find you SID the hard way then, I'd suggest chaining a few shinies, then calculating it that way. I can't find the link at the moment, but it's here somewhere. Anyone?

None, though Enigma Berries restore damage if hit by a super effective attack. Which is probably why they're banned...

Question: Why are Enigma Berries banned?

To answer your question, Sitrus gets 25% of your HP, and if you play Little Cup, Oran Berry restores a lot of HP (at Level 5, you usually don't have much more than 10 HP anyways).

Only if you want to RNG manipulate for more shinies. You don't need any shiny Pokemon if you just want to breed or catch perfect stats.

O rly? The way it was at the top, I assumed it was a universal requirement. Well, that saves me some time. Thanks.

They're not banned, they just suck. Remember, as a Berry it's consumed on use and it's gone. Plus you still take the damage, you just heal afterwards. You'd probably heal less than you take.

How much damn SpAtk ev's does a timid Celebi need to OHKO a 248 hp EV scizor 100% of the time with HP Fire? im sick of them always surviving by like 2% after stealth rock damage..

Timid Celebi needs to run 232 SAtk EVs (294 SAtk) in order to OHKO Scizor 100% of the time after SR with HP Fire:

294 Atk vs 196 Def & 343 HP (70 Base Power): 304 - 360 (88.63% - 104.96%)

The only way a Timid Celebi can KO a 248 HP ev scizor 100% of the time is to max. celebi's special attack and give it choice specs otherwise without specs celebi's hp fire 70 only deals--> 90.6%-106.4% which is still not a 100% chance at a ohko even after stealth rock damage.

Edit: Beaten.

Stealth Rock deals 12.5% (42 HP on the specified build) to Scizor, not 6.25%, due to its Bug-typing.

So is 12.5% damage from stealth rock the "default" damage that it deals out or is it 6.25%? I know that Stealth rock has greater damage outputs for different typed pokemon such as knocking 50% health off of salamence and the like.

12.5% is neutral(neutral to rock or one type that resists and one that is weak) 25% is 2x weak eg Salamence 50% is 4x weak eg Yanmega 6.25% is 2x resist eg Garchomp 3.125 would be 4x resist eg Lucario

I think so, at least on WiFi. I have [Shaymin-S with HP Ice] in my thread, and it is my most asked for pokemon.

I thought Shaymin couldn't even use Sky Forme on WiFi battles? Along with Giratina-O and Rotom appliances. I think you can use them for local wireless, but not WiFi.
