The sprite looks cluttered. I can't tell what's happening with it's arms, and that Bastiodon head does resemble a shield, but it looks weird because the arms are croessed over so awkwardly.

The sprite looks cluttered. I can't tell what's happening with it's arms, and that Bastiodon head does resemble a shield, but it looks weird because the arms are croessed over so awkwardly.
o.o I can't see anything wrong with the arms. Care to elaborate?Okay, this are my first proper Spriting, so don't judge we as a regular spriter. Its a recolour of Tyrogue to make him look like Link from Legend of Zelda, with an added Master Sword and Shield (The shield is horrible, I know).
Also, one with Link's hat:
Anyway I could improve on the Shield? I really ruins the Sprite...
Did this Kyogre, recoloured with Groudon's colours:

There's that, and the fact that the sword underlaps the blue arm. Just looks cluttered.
Anyone care to give me a random sprite challenge? Make it something quite extreme. :D
@Raikou: I don't see much wrong with the sprites. The Kyogre looks pretty good. You should do the same with Groudon.
The sword is supposed to underlap the arm, it's holding it - it's not stuck on D:
That's really hard to see, considering Armaldo doesn't have any opposable thumbs, or fingers for that matter. I suggest either getting rid of the blue arm, or getting rid of the sword.@ Fuzz: Does this look any better?
Btw, it is a "she", due to Blaze being the base. Zero is amazingly just a guy with really long hair. Took my brother a while to figure that out, actually, lol.
Yeah, I think it looks much better.
I know who Zero and Blaze are. =P I was confused on the gender because Guy + Girl = ???
Naw, that's the web on Buizel's arm that you're looking at. It's colored the same way the blue gems on Sableye are, which is what the eyes are made of. So I can see where you got confused, ha.

The shield looks okay, just too far infront. If you shift it a few pixles to the left, while not changing the arm, it should make it look better.
The tunic needs more shading. You have the highlights but not the shadows. What you have so far is good, but looks unfinished.

PROPOSAL
I really would like to up the popularity of the WSC, so...
If somebody comes first, 4 times I will display a video of all of their sprites onto youtube, same for most humourus, and most original.
Also; I would like a Gold, Silver, Bronze kabuto trophy for this weeks WSC!@Canti: This any better? Changed the hair color and the Red to make them look better, (hopefully) fixed the arm, and made the whip opaque. I do think it looks a lot better now, IMO.
@Igor: Good luck trying to fit all of my sprites on Youtube. Click the sig links if you want to know what I mean.
@PHunter: That looks better than I thought it'd look, lol. I never thought I'd see aa actual use for Platinum Gallade. My Gallade Dex (all 38 non-scratched entries at least) never uses that pose, since I find it horrific. Weeeeellp, guess I have to make one with a Gallade base nao. Should be fun. :)
@Raikou: I think that the one sans cap looks better, personally, but if you want to keep the hat, I would reccomend moving the highlight, since it uses the wrong light source. The light source for the cap is coming from top right, not top left. Generally though, I would reccomend using mor Black outlining for the hand holding the shield. Since it's in the shadows, it shouldn't have a bright outline. I'd also reccomend giving the right sleeve of his tunic a more distinct outline where it ends at, since currently it just fuses to the arm. Cool idea though. Politoed as a base can be hard to work with because of it's body shape. I'd expect Gallade might be harder though, as Politoed is so... fat, whereas Gallade isn't. Platinum Gallade isn't that bad, IMO.

I'm making my Politoed dex like a regional dex, so I know what I'm going to add. I plan to make:
Pitoed (Pichu)
Swabtoed (Swablu)
Raltoed (Ralts)
Kirlitoed (Kirlia)
Gardetoed (Gardevoir)
Not sure if I'll do the lower evolutions, might be kind of pointless if they are too similar to their evolutions. :o
Btw, I've already done Staraptor (scratched, though), Mamoswine, Starmie, and Electrode (btw, cheated on that one, has an Electrode base, lol.).
It's in my sig if you want to see the first 40 entries.
I've saw them a few minutes ago, and I must say, those are pretty good!

Wow that looks really cool. I think the back arm isn't right though. It's not giving the right impression of depth - I can't feel it moving backwards into the sprite, if you get what I mean.
Might be the shading's too bright but I think it just doesn't get narrower quick enough and isn't short enough.- Status
