Thank you so very much for explaining this. It makes perfect sense now. I looked at what time my target frame happened to be in and it's in a time that you said would advance the frame by 0 which is what I experienced. I had no idea that the frame advancement was connected to time.
I would seriously appreciate it if that post of yours was pasted over in the Research Thread because while not many people post there, I do believe lots of people who are currently abusing HG/SS do read it and check up on it whenever there are any new posts. I for one do, and it would have helped a lot if that info had been there, because it would have been easy to find (no offence, please).

This is good enough as it tells me that the game does advance like Emerald but gets different seeds to start out. This means I can SR a Mewtwo, and I won't get the same spreads every time :).
Okay, I've been trying to catch Shaymin using Method 1, target frame is 114. I SR, check the delay with the coin flip app, advance the RNG (114-1 = 113, so 128 steps followed by 54 journal flips) but when I catch it, the IVs match a target frame of 133. How is that possible? This has happened 3 times by now, I don't know how is the RNG advancing more than it should. Can someone help please?
For starters, are you RNGing the TRU Shaymin Wondercard or the Flower Paradise Shaymin? Neither should be "Method 1". WC Shaymin is a Wondercard which is Method 1, -2 frames (IIRC), and the FP Shaymin is a Method J Poke.
Flower Paradise Shaymin, didn't know it was Method J thanks. Do I need to use a sync or is it just optional?
It's almost always "optional" but 99.9% of the time it gives you like 10 more easy frames to hit it on, plus sometimes they are nearly adjacent, so if you accidentally flip 1 page too many you still get the spread you want.

Anyone think there's much chance of us cracking the ARNG to allow nature abuse on Wonder Cards? RNGing for Arceus is going to take a long time, but if we might crack it, then I'll put it off until later.

are you allowed to change the date twice after figuring out what frame you hit
this stupid delay is getting annoying 626 i had no choice since the date i was on i couldnt change 1 date back then the journal wouldnt of popped up

Nope, changing your date does not change the frame, just the target delay. Moving NPCs (including ones found offscreen, I think) advance the frame. Changing it back one year raises the target delay by one, and forward one year reduces it by one. You can change your date as many times as you want, though. It may be helpful to set it back two or three years in the past and save there before even trying to hit any particular delay. That way, the journal will always open when you start the game.

its characteristic is alert to sounds again wtf is going on
ive calibrated and hit frame 5 3 times in a row and both occasions the flips matched or doesnt the characteristic matter?? since the speed iv is supposed to be 0

i tried getting a shiny egg with the shiny egg PID tab from time finder. i get a seed. i hit my seed. And it says that the coin flips and tapps are based on the fact that you verify your seed by doing ten coin flips. it didnt work...
heres what i did, maybe you will know what i did wrong.
step 1: saved my game on app 5, with 5 pokemon in my party, none of which had flame body.
step 2: synched DS to hit my seed.
step 3: started the game and flipped back from app 5 to 15 (not passing 6)
step 4: did the 10 flips en verified the seed. i hit it.
step 5: flipped from app 15 to 5 and than to app 6
step 6: did my taps
step 7: went from app 6 to app 15
step 8: did my flips
step 9: entered parents into daycare
step 10: cycled and got egg
step 11: Got a flame body ability poke from pokemon center cycled and hatched. no shiny.
where did i go wrong? im sure i did not miscount the tapps and flips. it was way too few a number to get it wrong. (14 and 5) so it has to be something id did in between.

Changing the date shouldn't change your frame, unless you're always saving. You need to move the date at least 2 days before or ahead of the current date on your DS. This will force the journal to pop up before you have to get the egg.
You could just look for a spread with the actual frame. Its easier for me just to hit the actual frame than advancing it.
@weavil: you need a full party of 6 pokemon when you're RNGing for a shiny egg pokemon. Another thing it seemed like you screwed up with is that you saved on one of the apps you need to use. If I remember correctly, you cannot do this cause it instantly screws up with the seed/frame/something XD.

Is there a way to search through multiple years to find a flawless method J spread, because I do not want to have to manually search through each year in an attempt to find what may not even exist. If not, can you at least think of implementing a feature to search through multiple years in the next release of RNG reporter.

Wasn't it said that the 2 bad IV'd parents can be bread and create an egg that has perfect of IV's and Nature?
I mean, that's what the Shiny egg method is for, right? You can take 2 parents with bad IV's and turn something good out of it.

Ok, say I find a seed such as 3010273 in the spreadsheet for special spreads and I want to find it in my game to RNG Dialga/Palkia, how do I do that?
