Can anyone explain to me what pandora's box is and how it makes shiny spreads?? I'm having the worse problem getting shiny flawless spreads. All I knew to do was use the IVs to PID section and get my SID. From there, I've been using wichu, using good ranges, but It returns very crappy spreads. Is there something else I should be doing?

Something like this did happen to me once however with the right date. I still don't know what i did wrong.

I'm in the process of SRing for my first IV spread, and I can't for the life of me get the correct delay. I can get the correct seconds / frames easily, but I always seem to stop 5 delay ahead of where I need to be. I've tried using Emloop, but I still can't seem to get it right. Are there any tricks to hitting the correct delay, or should I shoot for a different one?
can someone help me out please? for some reason i can't hit my delay (81) i always land on 80, and i wait a LOT before talking to the person. If I go fast, I hit 80, slow and I still hit 80. It's hard enough to hit my delay with this BP, but I have twice, but always landed on freakin 80
Insert (or remove) a 3rd gen game (fire red, leaf green, ruby, sapphire, emerald) and you should get odd delays.
I have a question. Does the first page of the journal (when you first open it) sometimes advance the frame differently?
@Columbus Rayburn: I'd recommend using the delay that you can hit. That's the point of calibration.
@Alsabino: If you don't have a 3rd gen game, or are using a DSi, you could also set the year back by one to get the target delay to be even.
@All4Game: Nope, the first page of the journal behaves like every other page.
Change your year so the target delay is 5 ahead of what you're going for at the moment.
Hitting delays is hard. My success rate is something like 5-10%.

Edit: This is odd. My coin flips, seed, delay, and time matched my target perfectly, but the IVs aren't what I generated. I'm supposed to have 28/B/20/31/31/B (HP Electric), but its characteristic is 'Likes to Fight' and it has HP Fighting. My first thought was that I put the parents in in the wrong order, because parent A has an attack value that corresponds to 'Likes to Fight,' but wouldn't the 31s override that?

You landed on the wrong frame. This happens a lot while breeding, because of the NPCs in Solaceon Town advancing the frame. See the guide on hatching perfect eggs.
Figure out what frame you DID land on, then search for a frame with the same number (i.e. frame 6) that gets you the IVs you want.
If you need to add one to your frame you can release cresselia or mesprit onto the map. If you can't, you can release the three birds and do one less journal flip, that will still add one.

"Unhandled exception has occured in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.
Configuration system failed to intialize."
Both Continue and Quit cause it to crash, making it have to shut off by task manager.
Has anyone else bumped into this? There is a details box from the window that pops up I could post if that would help.

I suffered from the same thing, I did the quite extreme thing in fixing it by backing everything up and doing a system restore. I think it may because of a file in the registry that got deleted or something like that but im not quite sure. Sorry cant help any furher but i reboot for what I know will definately do the job.
