Can you advance the frame to your target frame simply by walking "X" amount of steps, obviously assuming the frame is >5? I know it will take longer than flipping the journal, but with the step counter app it seems like it would be easier(slower, but easier). I keep hitting my delays but I miss my frame by +-2 frames because I flip one too many/few. IE, I want to hit a 2140 frame, and each 5 frame advancements is equal to 128 steps. Can I just walk 54,784 steps?
EDIT: It probably seems like this is a stupid question, but in the other RNG guide for capturing a perfect pokemon it states: "Any more and it is possible that the RNG will advance again and throw off your calculations."
Alright, I just tried this, and went 54,784 steps, but I didn't get the correct IVs. I got a Timid nature(synchronizer) though. There are a few things I have done to throw this off, however, and would like to know if they affect the RNG advancement:
- Move from one route to another(the sign in the upper left hand corner shows up)
- Interacted with pokemon from the side(made Shaymin turn to the right)
Any ideas which one(as well as my first problem) may be a problem?
