Hi, here's a Hidden Power IVs question. How do I get max power Hidden Power Ice on Modest Zapdos?? If possible, minimise IV loss to Special Attack, and Speed.

Bold Spheal (Female)
30/x/31/31/31/31
With Ice Body as an ability...

How should I ev this to be a Stallrein?
The analysis says 220 HP/240 Def/ 48 Speed is the way to go but since it only has 30 in HP, would 224 HP/ 236 Def/ 48 Speed still work?

Yes, that seems to be best, looking over the EV section of the analysis.

Would it smart to have this set?

@Choice Scarf
Levitate
6hp/252Sp.A/252speed
Timed Nature (-Att +Speed)
>T-bolt
>Shadowball
>Overheat/Trick
>HP (grass/ground)/Trick
Yeah bit odd 'n all, the EVs are the standard Rotomchoiced EVs. Timed nature instead of Modest because I then easily outspeed other rotoms and gengars w/o scarfs also Heatran's with scarfs are outsped.
But the main problem is with my attacks...
I've never used Overheat that much, and I found that that is my weakness on this little dude. So I think trick would be smarter there, but the last spot is a real mess. Should I use HP grass? Since my team is weak to swampert (>.>) which results in 72.3% - 85.1% an easy KO with a little damage (which is easily done).

Or HP ground to eliminate Magnezone(Which hurts my SDscizor sweeping) with 90.1% - 106.2% on the steel killer set,
and even higher KO change with SR 6% stripped off. Whilst KOing the Choicescarf set(Which is also outsped in any possible way) with 113.5% - 134.8%.

And Heatran: On the stealthrock leadset HP ground easily reaches 43.2% - 51.2% which hurt him, but the main 'win' is in the other sets:
On the Choice Scarf set: 86.7% - 102.8%. A small change of surviving with SR in play.
On the Sub set: 77.8% - 92.6%, a good damage output which makes this set useless due to him likely setting up Sub: expecting a T-bolt.
On the Resttalk stet: 54% - 64.4% A clean 2ko if Heatran uses rest when I switch.
But then there's trick... Yesterday I had a battle, my Resttalk Machamp with a scarf tricked on it earlier and this Rotom (T-bolt, Shadowball, Overheat, HPgrass) against a Submagnezone and a Blissey. The problem was that I needed trick here because if I used trick on blissey I could've won... And overheat was in one word: useless.

I'm using Abomasnow and Walrein on my OU Hail team and I'm considering the use of one more Ice type... I like the power that Snow Cloak and Brightpowder might give my pokemon so I'm considering Glaceon, Froslass, or Mamoswine...

1. Glaceon with a Choice Scarf would be an excellent revenge killer/or with wish be a decent wish-passer...
2. Froslass with Pain-Split is really mean and it can also setup spikes, a fighting resistance, and a spin-block.
3. Mamoswine provides me with raw physical attack power that I wouldn't get with the other 2 or Walrein and Abomasnow...

I'm leaning toward Froslass...

I'd say Mamoswine. One other advantage to Mamo is it has Ice Shard Priority.
You're Froslass will take a lot of damage every time it switches into stealth rocks and priority moves from Bullet punch will OHKO. If you switch Froslass out and back in, you're taking another 25% damage.

For first I don't recommend using BrightPowder, as you have higher chance to dodge opponents attack with Leftovers to create one more substitute if neccesary then with BrightPowder. With Bright you only have 4 chances for opponents to miss attack and sometimes it doesn't happen. Hipmonlee in one of his threads posted how Leftovers is better item then Brightpowder for pokemon abusing Sand Veil/Snow Cloak abilities.

And about pokemon choice - you prefer to use your team in defensive way, right ? I would drop out Glaceon - yes, it has good defences, but for defensive pokemon with Wish he has defensively shitty typing and SR weakness. I don't recommend. And for Scarfer - it's better choice, but still finding good ice resist in OU isn't hard and SR weakness is annoying again. I would go with Frossy - Spikes are really important for Hail defensive team and ghost to block Rapid spinners also. Also Snow Cloak may kick in, so it's nice bonus. And if you want to go with more offensive approach, Mamoswine isn't bad, however you need heavy support to help this team with Mamoswine+Abomasnow+Walrein and I'm not sure if Walrein really fits more offensive Hail teams. So in the end I would recommend Frossy from all those free (if you want defensive Hail). If offensive, of course Mamoswine with ScarfAbomasnow.

Have you thought about changing form? I mean, why would you run HP grass when Leaf Storm has twice the power on the first use, and equal power on a second?

That's an option, but I use right now HPground (Testing) and the fact to scare Scizor out is another good thing ;). But I'll test and check it up.

Is there any way to find out my SID without a non-radar shiny? I have 4 shinies found with the radar, but when I insert all their stats at the RGN calc it says there's 3 possible sids so I'd need more radar shinies... I don't have any other shinies and I don't have an AR myself. Is there a way for someone with an AR to find my SID through one of my pokémon? Thanks!

Since you've narrowed it down to three possibilities, you could try RNG abusing for a spread that will be shiny with each of them. Probably be quicker than radaring more shinies.

Yeah, just trade them a Pokémon and they'll be able to find it.

Thing is, the numbers aren't shown to me. The reporter's possibilities are down to 3 out of the initial 8192 after I insert the data of the 4th pokémon, but I can't see what the 3 possible SIDs are. Or can I somehow?

#1 - Is Custap Berry implemented on Shoddy Battle? Maybe I'm just stupid, but I can't find it.

#2 - Would something like that work:
[You're in a bad situation. Gyarados has a DD, your counter is dead and your checks are weakened, so they can't take a hit any longer]
You have a steel/rock/ground-type (something immune to SS) wearing a Custap Berry. Can you endure on the Waterfall, kill and outspeed it? Or Am I misunderstanding the mechanic of Custap Berry?
[As example: You have a Ramparaods (lol) with Endure/Head Smash/EQ/whatever. Obviously you can't outspeed Gyarados and Waterfall will kill you. You endure on the Waterfall (no Gyarados will DD/Taunt against Ramparados) and outspeed it with the help of Custap Berry]

#3 - Does something like a "speed calculator" exist? I need it for the purpose of creating new movesets. I always get a headache when I'm testing how much speed I need to outspeed certain Pokémon. (PS: I know the link to the speed tiers, don't post it).

Thank you.

hi, im new here so i dont know if there is a thread on Ev's please let me know where, otherwise i have a question. Im unsure as how they (EV's) work. Is it better to start ev training at lvl 1 or can it be done at any lvl. my goal is to max stats at lvl 100, so if i start ev training at lvl 1 is it better then lets say starting with a captured wild pokemon at lvl 25, for example.
