How do I find out what frame my game starts on without having an action replay and access to rare candies?
I've also heard this is true, all pokewalker pokemon start with the same 4 hexadecimal numbers, I'd have to check my 100 pikas to find out what they were lol so with the correct ID/SID I believe you have a 1/64 chance of catching it shinyYAY! They just re-released the pokewalker download "Yellow Forest" again, so I can try for a good, Timid, Surfing Pikachu (FIIIIIIINALLY).
OmegaDonut mentioned before that if you get your ID/SID to be "something" you would have an incredibly increased chance of getting shiny pokes from the pokewalker. IS THERE AN ID/SID COMBO THAT WOULD GIVE YOU AN INCREDIBLY INCREASED CHANCE OF GETTING TIMID POKEMON?! If so I'd really like to pandora my HG just for this! Unfortunately, we don't know how to RNG these pokes (yet), BUT if I could raise the likelyhood of them coming out Timid, I could just SR the old fashioned way (or in this case catch a ton of them and hope for the best).
So it is pretty much impossible to reset for IVs without action replay and rare candies? Cause don't you have to know your frame to reset for IVs?
Why would you need an AR to RNG? I don't own one and I can produce a shiny flawless breed in about an hour if I'm lucky with my delays.it's not impossible, just a pain in the ass. i'm doing it currently XD
anyway, if i got the following for my frame results 8,5,8,8 should I just say i'm on frame 8 since i seem to be landing there most (3/4) of the time?

Anyways yeh go with 8, and if you find your not hitting it just adjust for what you are hitting. Typically I only calibrate once, then go for the egg, if its on a different frame I'll aim for that frame instead lol
Reposting from yesterday.I have a comment about wondercard RNG abuse. It says that the amount of RNG advances you have to do is (frame) - (# of wondering pokemon) - 1. However, I just RNG'd a Gamestp Deoxys, and amount of RNG advanced I had to do was exactly it was supposed to be (114). I had one roamer out. I tried advancing by 112 (114 - 1 - 1), but it landed me on frame 112, instead of the required 114. Sorry if the wording is wierd.
Comments? Anyone know if it's different for Gamestp Deoxys or if something just went wierd?
I would say its easier catching and in benefits its pretty much the pokeball there's not much elseWhat's easier? Rng abuseing IVS of wild pokemon or hatched pokemon. I have done alot of hatched pokemon and I'm wondering is there any benifit to capturing other than choosing a good pokeball?
As Nexus said I think Catching is easier, not as many Steps involved and not as much error involved, but thats just an opinion =/What's easier? Rng abuseing IVS of wild pokemon or hatched pokemon. this is probably a really stupid question but how do you tell which ability is 1 or 0. I want to hatch a swift swim lotad
Incase you're offline or whatever, too, there's an "IV check" option over on the right side of the Reporter and it has an ability list there too. That'll tell you which is 1 and which is 0.this is probably a really stupid question but how do you tell which ability is 1 or 0. I want to hatch a swift swim lotad
edit: thx
What you need to do is go into the RNG reporter, and find the spread in the main page with it set to Method J and have a synchronizer for what ever nature it is. Right click any of the spreads with the IVs you want, and click "Calculate Encounter Slot". It will have a number beside it for sweet scenting, and three links at the bottom. Select the Platinum one, and a page will be brought up. Find the area you are in on the list, and see which numbers Snover appears on. Then check every frame until you find one where the encounter slot number is the same as the one in the page with the encounter slots. Sorry for the wall of text lol.
frame is what you base your advancements off not actual frame for this type of RNGI actually don't have a Syncrhonizer nature, but after trying some stuff, I think I may have gotten it right. Can you look at what I did, and see if I took the right steps?
First, I went to the Capture tab of the Time Finder, and found my desired spread. From there, I took the seed of this spread, and copy/pasted it into the "Seed (Hex)" on the main menu. Then, I clicked generate, and found an acceptable spread with a low frame rate, and the right encounter slot to find Snover, the Pokemon I'm looking for.
To find a good time, I hit the "Seed to Time" button.
If I did do this right, do I use the "Frame" or "Actual" value when doing RNG advances?
Ok, I guess I'll try my new frame and see how that works. Thanks.frame is what you base your advancements off not actual frame for this type of RNG
